Miami Heat Smoke Hornets As Jaime Jaquez Jr. Incredible Start Continues! | Spo Has Offense Humming!
And welcome on in everybody. Tobin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. Your Miami Heat victorious tonight. 144 117. Happy mother birthday to me. That is uh that is a heck of a present the Miami Heat can go and give me tonight. Kicking the snot out of those rat bastard Hornets. You stole the Heat’s pick. So, we stole your soul on the court tonight. I loved it. How about that for a performance tonight? No Norman Powell in this game tonight for the Miami Heat. And they win 144 to 117. The second 140 piece the Miami Heat have already put up this season. I’m like Ricky Bobby right now, dude. I don’t know what to do with my hands. I I really don’t. This is This is This is crazy what we’re watching right now. Like I I I know maybe to you know other NBA fan bases you’re like hey what’s the big deal? I don’t think you understand. Okay like we have been watching very competitive basketball some really good seasons but the offense has been muck and now all of a sudden the Miami Heat you’re just like hey we got these questions coming into the year. You don’t have Tyler Herro. What are you guys gonna do today? You don’t have Tyler Hero. You don’t have Norman Pal. What are you gonna do? I don’t know, dude. I I I guess I guess we’re just gonna have to get another amazing performance from the man who has completely flipped the script. And anybody who was doubting him, myself included, cuz I did not think that he was going to have this kind of year in him by any means. If I would have taken a quarter of what he was doing right now, I would have been thrilled. But this mother bleeper, I mean, he has put in the work. He has put in the belief and this man looks I mean he just he looks absolutely incredible right now and that is Haime Hakez Jr. Unbelievable today, guys. I mean, Haime 28 points in 28 minutes, nine of 14. Hits his first three-pointers tonight. He hits two of them early on in the game. A perfect eight for eight from the line. And Haime Hawkins Jr. tonight plus 43. Plus 43. Four rebounds and five assists. I mean, his assist game is almost right there with his scoring game, and his scoring game’s been pretty damn good. But it, man, he he’s just he’s a delight. He’s a delight. I mean, this game was kind of going back and forth, willy-nilly, a lot of scoring, and he comes into this game, and you know what the funny thing was? The game starts off with him almost, it reminded me of the Knicks game where it was like, “Ah, yeah, they’re trying some stuff on him.” And maybe you think you would have shaken Haime Hakez a little bit. And so they send three at him. He coughs it up. Bridges comes back with a bucket. Charlotte’s up to their uh I think they’re up six at the time. And you’re just like, “H, all right. Well, maybe uh maybe maybe this is running out.” And he’s just like, “Nope. How about a three ball just to get us cooking for the night started?” And I’m just like, “Oh, I guess that’s what we’re doing right now, dude.” Because Haimeh Hakez Jr. did not look back from that moment on. He was absolutely delightful. And then he got right back to the bread and butter. He goes attacking that that just absolute missile to the rim style that he has. Just relentless. No one can stop him. He looks absolutely absolutely tremendous. And I mean it it it was he just is just like here we’re going to start this off here to this game. I’m going to come off this bench. We got no pal today. 33 bucket bucket 10 points right off the bat. What do you think of that dude? And I’m like you know what I think? I think that was pretty awesome. I think that was I think that was was pretty pretty awesome from what he was doing in this game and just all over the place, dude. I mean, he’s just he’s just so he’s so relentless. He’s so in the right spot every single time. And I just I I’m I’m blown away by what he’s doing. I’m blown away with this this second unit, Simony Fonteio. Mama, this dude hits, he comes, he hits three three-pointers. He’s got a four-point play that he hits with Bam setting him up for the three ball. and he’d come into from the uh he’d come in from the uh into the second quarter and he hit two more from downtown. Just unbelievable, man. Unfreaking believable. By the way, Jaime Hakez, he caps off the first quarter with just the most vicious slam and he hits bang. I mean, if it was the NFL, there might be concussion protocol with how hard he hit the the wood on that. It was scary for a second, but it was also just so I mean, he has just been so freaking relentless. So relentless. And we’re just seeing so many consistent things from this team, whether that be the play of the second unit, his play in particular, he’s been the catalyst for all of it. Uh DaVon Mitchell, dude. I mean, he is, you know, he’s got these these handles every night where he’s got to handle the the a lot of top playmakers, whether that be Jaylen Brunson, whether that be Lamar Ball. And but he he’s just put such an emphasis on the playmaking that he’s doing for his teammates. It really is a uh it really is a sight for to behold. But anyway, getting back to Fonteio. So he’s just nailing three after three. And then this was crazy. Miles Bridges athletic as all hell. Dude’s got absolute flubber in his shoes. Like he can I don’t know if you kids remember that reference, Robin Williams. He had a scientific slime that people It doesn’t look it up. But he was able to bounce. You know, he’s got some bounce to him. And Fonteio goes up and it looks like he’s just having a real hard foul that he took. And he goes and looks at Spesmu. review that puppy spo and and I gotta tell you there’s something about this uh liking the review spo let down his hair a little bit and he’s he’s doing the first half challenge because it would have just been like you know what send him to the rim he didn’t get a one you know we’ll we’ll keep we’ll keep things riding right now we’re up eight you know we go there we’re up six who cares and and it’s like no actually what we’re going to do is we’re going to uh we’re going to review that and and Simony was right. Got the hand there in time. Clean block and Fonteio just just just an absolute monster, dude. An absolute monster. He was uh he was killing it. Wiggins would then follow that up and you get a pit uh a putback off a DaVon Mitchell missed three. Uh really good second quarter for Andrew Wiggins. You know, Andrew Wiggins had a couple quiet scoring nights. Not tonight, dude. and the second quarter he was just kind of filling the cracks all over the place, you know, he was uh he was getting in the post, doing some moves, then he was hitting some threes. Um and and then two guys really stepped up in this, right? Like you have Wiggins and by far had his best game today. Swedish Swiss, Swedish chef, Swedish meatballs, whatever you want to say. Pella Larson dude in that fantastic hair of his was absolute dynamite today. Pella Larson was in the starting lineup for Norman Powell and uh let’s take a look at his final numbers on the game. But Pella was just you know I just love the way he plays. I know maybe I put too much stock into his summer and Euro basket in like oh off the jump but a lot of that has just been heyime’s killed it. He’s had an un unbelievable summer and I was dead ass wrong in saying that um you know Pella’s going to take his minutes. Very clearly that hasn’t been the case. He’s had a little bit of the the grabby grabs with the fouls, but in his first big opportunity to step up, he stepped up in a big time way. 17 points today in the starting lineup. He was three. The the big thing was the threes. You know, it’s not really his forte either, but he he shot them confidently. This Heat team is just they’re getting such clean looks. the ball movement pop. It’s It’s just It’s breathtaking to watch, dude. And they’re just setting themselves up. Everybody’s getting involved. I mean, you had one, two, three, four, five. What? One, two, three, four, five. Six guys in double figures tonight. Seven. Learn to read, Tobin. Seven guys in double figures tonight. Almost had eight. Everybody in the starting lineup, except for DaVon Mitchell, who had eight points and nine assists. nine assists. Dude, this is a guy this is a guy thought of as a defensive stopper. He’s getting everybody. He’s just he’s taking that responsibility uh in such a stronghold. But Pell, man, um he he there was there was a great a great thing where Bam kicks it out to DaVon. Uh DaVon swings it to Pella. Boom. Open three. Makes it go. And this was a crazy thing because I got to talk about this with the uh with the the Hornets fan. You know, no love lost between us right now because you know what you did. LaMelo Ball is maybe one of the most popular players in the league because he sells cool shoes and he’s a ferris wheel on the court. Like he is oodles of fun. But I couldn’t imagine what it’s like rooting for him because it it must be like I’m having so much fun but then I want to throw up because he does moves like he has the confidence to shoot shots like nobody else does and he’s either going to be on a heater but then the next quarter it could be ice cold and like in this quarter alone it’s like Trey man and James get going and then LaMelo’s just like missing three after three after three and you’re just like all right well that’s I guess he’s lost his juice but then there’ll be times where like you fall for it bec there’s like a mastery in his quirkiness because then you’re always selling out for these crazy ass threes and he’s hitting like wide ass open passes to Colin Sexton and I don’t know how you rein him in he’s almost like he’s almost like a hipster musician like he’s never going to go mainstream He’s always going to play to his own beat. He’s never going to sell out. He’s going to play ball the way LaMelo Ball wants to ball. And there’s something beautiful about that. I don’t know if he’s ever going to win, but man, he must I mean, like, he must be so fun to root for when he’s good, but I imagine it’s like but when it goes cold, you’re just like like can’t you just be normal for a second? You’re so much more talented than everybody out here. It’s got to it’s got to be un I I mean I couldn’t imagine the experience like I’m trying to think of like, you know, somebody like this. People will say like on the Heat fan, they’ll be like, “Oh, it’s like Dion Waiters.” It’s It’s not like Dion Waiters, though. Dion Waiters is just kind of your run-of-the-mill like when he gets hot, he gets hot. like LaMelo plays by a different set of rules of of it’s not just the threes, it’s how he shoots them, when he shoots them, the but the almost like unapologetic means about that and then he’s going to have the craziest pass you’ve ever seen in your life because I like I never was quite com even in the third quarter, right? We get to the third quarter and you know the Heat going to halftime. They’re up 16 7660. Again, don’t know what to do with my hands with a situation like this. And you know, they start making a little bit of a runky. They start getting going and you know, the Heat are starting to go cold from three. And this is one of the things that I really liked about today’s game because I really thought that it changed momentum. The Heat come out kind of ice cold. Colin Ston hits a three. It gets it to a six-point game. Uh Spo is for sure going to bench KL Wear. The only thing The only thing you could really say was a downside tonight was Kell. Had a tough night. This giant intangible What the hell was that guy’s name? Yeah, with a K. Um Kulk Brener. That dude was like unbelievably annoying. And but like you know where just wasn’t in the paint today for whatever reason. Like they he were getting to the paint but he had no interest in matching up and he just kept throwing up threes and missing and those and they were just kind of like you know he’s just out there and it’s like you’re not you’re not going to tell him not to shoot him because it’s wide open and that’s what the game plan is. But Kell’s like not quite shooting it in the flow of his shot. And so it’s like, you know, Spo had to make a decision. And by the way, I’m replacing you with the best player on the floor right now, which is Haime. So he goes to Haime. And then um the Heat really swung the game I thought here for for good because Pella comes out really strong defense on Colin Ston. Bam gets the rebound. He uh he he gets it down to Wiggins who misses a putback and then like who’s right there for the reverse layup but Haimeh Hakez Jr. and gets the heat up eight. Next possession, he get it. Bam out. He’s got Caulk Brener right in front of him. Blows right past him. Gets the and one. Heat back up double digits. Love the response after like look, I’m all for shooting threes. I love and it’s looking pristine, but like there are some times you just like, hey, let’s change the momentum back here. let’s get to the rim, get our lead back up, and then we’ll get back to killing them with the ball movement. And I just love I I love the way that went for Miami. I just thought that they just did a a a great great job. And then you know, um they were still sticking around. I think Miles Bridges got it to within three with a three ball. Bam answered right back because then Bam had some frustrating possessions where he like didn’t want to go ahead call. I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing? just cook this guy. Let’s go. And Bridges got to within three and then bam, he hits a three and then he was basically bam after that was like off and running. He he couldn’t miss after that. He was hitting turnaround shots. And then got a a big time play where Andrew Wiggins strips Miles Bridges, leads to DaVon Mitchell on the run, gets to Bam for the slam, heater up a dozen, and DaVon Mitchell’s flowing by that giant intangibles, and you’re just like, “All right, this this puppy feels very much like it’s going to be over very quickly.” Canibble brings it to to within 11 with a three ball and then Haime Hawkz. I mean, dude, this this this footwork this kid has. I mean, it’s it’s something. We need to do some kind of spin pun with him because Ronnie Cyclley was the spin doctor. I don’t know what we want to call Haime Hakez for his his spin arsenal. I don’t know if we want to call him the spin surgeon, the spin wizard, or I mean, I don’t want to always have to go like Spanish on every punt like we did with Triple Hota, but like perhaps we call him uh Dr. Hiar. I might have screwed that up. I just Google translated what spin is in Spanish, but you get the point, dude. He needs some kind of spin nickname. You guys get after it. I don’t know. But he’s absolutely just It’s amazing. It’s amazing what he’s doing. And um and then he he follows that. This is what’s really been mature about his game is like he follows that up with the beautiful spin work and then he’s driving everybody in. The gravity’s going to him. Beautiful pass out to Drew Smith. Three ball puts the Heat up 16 and man, you’re just like you you’re just really really impressed. Pella Larson would uh would hit a three ball to uh to to kind of cap off a third quarter. The Heat was up 105 to 86. And man, it was it was just it’s party time, people. It’s it’s unbelievable what we got going on right now. You know, uh you got some good action from Nico in the fourth quarter. They uh they they were just, you know, basically just toying with Charlotte the rest of the way. Ban would come out, he had a beautiful baseline reverse layup. He did a nice silky smooth jumper. Wiggins would add on top of it. And that was all she wrote. Final score 144 to 117. Heat three and one on the season going to San Antonio on Thursday night for a big-time showdown against the undefeated Spurs. Victor Wbeyama has looked super human. In fact, the only time he hasn’t looked human on a basketball court in the last few months has been against the Miami Heat. And so, you know that that kid the way he’s playing is is going to be coming for revenge. So that’s a Hey, South Florida is headed up for a hell of a sports night on Thursday between Thursday Night Football. You got the Heat. I’m going to be, if you guys notice, I’m not in my normal studio. I am in Nashville. I’m calling uh Dirty Boxing 4, which will be live and free on YouTube and uh I cannot wait. First time in Music City. It has been an absolute delight. Got to meet with all the fighters today. So, uh, if you guys want to give me a birthday present, you know, throw on the old DBX. Give your boy a holler on the, uh, the comments. Would appreciate that. It’s there. It’s free for you. And you get to watch some people knock silly, not knock themselves silly in the head. It should be absolutely fun. Put it on the, uh, the laptop while you’re watching the Heat game and the Dolphins on your two screens. Get multi-creen action, buddy. It It’ll uh, it would mean a lot to me. But, man, I I just Look, the Bums won’t talk about it, right? like they they already don’t want to talk about how the Heat are getting screwed by the NBA. They don’t want to talk about they they they’d rather talk about, you know, Lakers putting up 50 pieces against the Kings than they will talk about this. But if the shoe was on the other foot, you know, that they would talk about, oh, the surprising Hornets. We cannot be denied here. We cannot be denied with what the Miami Heat is doing. They look tremendous. Haime Hakez has been an absolute stud. Norman Powell is fit right in and today they didn’t even have him and the Heat are like cool here’s 144 on your ass. Bam out of bio looks confident shooting the three ball. Uh the the he’s been a relentless rebounder. Bam. By the way, just to put up uh some numbers on him because he doesn’t get the credit he deserves on games. Uh 26 points for Bam, six rebounds, two assists, plus 29 for Adabio today. A very efficient 10 of 16. three of five from downtown. Uh, look great. Look great. I didn’t realize that Kell Khell finished with 14 points. I did hear like I was starting to set up. I did hear some highlights. 14 points. He was 413, nine rebounds. Um, but he was the only guy who was a minus today on the roster. He was the only guy was a uh on the on the But, you know, he’s playing in garbage time at the end, too. It’s not a complete fair, but he he was he wasn’t fantastic today. And that, you know, that just speaks to him is that he can still uh finish with a respectable looking box score. But uh Andrew Wiggins tonight, he had 21. Really good to see him get into a rhythm as well. I think he needed a game like this. V, as the team keeps saying too, man, the vibes are high right now. I’m high like as a kite watching this kind of basketball. It is It is unbelievable how much fun I have had watching these first four games. You can bet your ass I am as soon as the fights are over that night and I’m done calling and doing a masterful job calling the fastest growing combat sport on the planet. But you can bet your ass the first thing I’m going to do once I get back to my hotel room is just stay up all night, wait for my early flight on Friday by watching the heat versus when on the FanDuel lab. So I will uh I will look forward to that and uh I look forward to you guys enjoying this because this is fun. We should be enjoying this right now. This Heat offense is fun. This team is having fun. We’re all having fun and it’s gooseies galore, dude.

The flubber reference is even older than that. It goes back to Fred McMurray, an old Disney movie. Robin remade it! Also, it's Lamelo Ball, not Lamar, but it's all good family. You're awesome! People love the content!
After spurs everyone is gonna wake the fuck up
Jaime "El Giro" Jaquez (pronounced "el heedo" or "el HEATo". It means the spin or twist.) Feliz cumpleaños, Senior Tobs… "El Gru Real"

What a delight to see.
Folks need to simmer down though, I do understand. Gotta big road trip coming up, lets see what's up.
🔥
might be a good fit if we trade herro to sexton😊
Told yall
We are scoring 150 without our 2 25 ppg scorers. Are we going to score 200?
Bench Mafia still taking teams out 1 by 1. Hopefully Herro’s return will fix the starting unit & then it’s straight to the Moon!!!!
BEAUTIFUL HEAT BASKETBALL W FOR TOBIN
