The Mets’ loss means the Reds have the final NL Wild Card spot

Don’t know why. And he pulls one on the ground. A chance for two to second one. Back to first. And the Mets agonizing three and a half month slow motion collapse is complete.

  1. Perfect end to a monumental collapse. Mets didn't deserve to make the playoffs, they would've lost in the first round anyway. A bunch of overpaid, overrated bums.

  2. The Mets finished the 2025 MLB season with a record of 0-70 when trailing after eight innings, being the only team in Major League Baseball that did not win a single such game throughout the year.
This dismal record highlights a season of collapses and struggles in critical late-game situations.

  3. Well that's what you get when you dish out contracts to make headlines and break $$ records instead of making the team actually better… I feel bad for the fans who were so full of hope in the first half, y'all deserved a better end to the season than this

  4. YAAAAAA!!!!! Could not care less about The Marlins but am thrilled that the Soto enhanced did not even make the playoffs. Pay that loser all the money you want to pay him. You are still going home for the 2025 MLB Playoffs. Yaaaaa!!!!!!

  5. We definitely can't blame Lindor or Alonso. They have both been hitting between 1 and 3 hits a game for months. Rest of the team 👎. They were almost always a hit on my FanDuel for 2 hits

  6. Absolutely effing disgusting the worst year I’ve ever experienced in all my life as a Met fan

I am absolutely sick and tired of seeing Soto talking to people having conversations at the plate,

smiling & not thinking with his stupid mug and giant head

Completely distracted by a nearly billion dollar contract this has to be a single worst acquisition in Mets franchise history

    instead of playing baseball
With heart, he’s out they’re playing lazy baseball

And average defensive warm body in left field at bes

McNeil Alonzo Nemo , lindor they played with more heart regardless of how terrible they performed with men in scoring position , at least they tried

The Mets this year with their inability to put runs on the board with men in scoring position

    To Mendoza mismanaging,
not sacrificing runners, leaving pitchers in for much too long

Soto acting as if you don’t care whether he win or loses,

He was undoubtedly the weak link on this team

Bringing the morale on the entire team down

Lindor seamed to coincidentally, started. a café a BS. show When he coincidentally lost his edge and his focus disappeared on the field

The Mets committed for 14 more years ? Dear lord what are they thinking? I saw it coming before the first game I called it too. I watched it all unfolding just like I pictured it would

The Met upper management should be ashamed of every one of these pitching acquisitions .

A complete failure , an inability to stop the bleeding

I’ve never seen a more sorry bunch of losers piece together Soto many inexcusable unacceptable plays .

So many Meaningful games completely lost unnecessarily ,

Complete missed opportunities and bad luck, ruined and destroyed the Mets season.

the Mets players like Alverez, Ronnie Mauricio Acuña Siri less than average third fourth rate players thrown together.

    Horrible players

Alverez missing pop-ups, letting balls pass him not being able to throw out
    Runners

So many games Alverez lost for the Mets by himself because of his errors and lack of skills defensive behind the plate

The Mets couldn’t win the division, letting go of their lead when they had the best record in baseball for a while was bad enough,

but it seemed to be after the second half when the Mets played the Yankees and went to Boston where it all fell apart,

I noticed the team really suffered the most from that point on

After the first seven games of the season, I jokingly texted my cousin and mentioned this pretty much defines the rest of the season.

I said that hat a mistake with Soto. We’re looking at the Mets fate for 2025.
