Marcus Pettersson Stands Up For Conor Garland Against Sam Carrick

Here’s [Applause] Jake to Brusk as Garland had a collision with Carrick is being challenged to a fight by Marcus Patterson and they’ve dropped the gloves. Carrick hit Garland in the neutral zone and Marcus Patterson went right at him. Oh, [Applause] you admire Patterson for this. It’s not something he does often. now, but he went right at Carrick. He took exception of the hit on Garland. And the veteran Vancouver defenseman steps up in defense of a teammate there. This is Garland trying to move it off to his left and then get going. And Carrick was in his lane, took the body, and then you’ll see a Patterson come in and challenge. And there wasn’t a lot of defense to start. Both players getting some rights in. Vancouver penalty number 29 receives two minutes for roughing and 5 minutes for fighting. New York number 39 receives 5 minutes for fighting. So it’s an instigator without assessing an instigator basically. Would you say that’s the instigator would give you an extra 10. So they give Person an extra two for Roughing. And it’ll be another New York power play here, their second of the game as Patterson gets two and five and Carrick gets five. And Natapot’s not too pleased with how that had been handled. Thought that even though Person came in and gave Carrick a whack with the stick, they were both willing combatants. I undersold Marcus a little bit. That’s his 11th career

  1. Refs are shit this year they are every year but this year has to be the worst game after game bad calls and it’s sad player’s have to call them out cause they get fined while coaches try’s and the league gets mad at them more than the player’s would they need to start holding refs accountable especially when it comes to attempting to injure like now don’t get how a late hit doesn’t get a penalty

  2. Reffing has been bad/inconsistent in the NHL more this season than ever. Earlier tonight Tom Wilson shoves a 5’9” 190lbs from behind not horribly and no call. Two minutes later a Dallas player awkwardly trips Chychurn into boards and called !
