HIGHLIGHTS | Vegas Golden Knights 6, Carolina Hurricanes 3 | Oct. 28, 2025

The scene shifts here to Raleigh, North Carolina. Rod Brendan Moore’s team wins the opening faceoff right to Shane Gospar. Great to have him back. He missed the last three games of the trip. And sorry this season, four games played with the Kings AL affiliate. Three goals, four assists, one goal on the power play. Now stay with a chance and a save made by Schmidt. That stall line going right back to work against Eel. Stall wins. It’s Fetchnikov. He shoots right on. Caught and hung on to by Schmidt. in Vegas is that Vegas got in front of it. Let’s see what this power play can do. Jeremy Lison in the box for interference. Kane started right away. It’s a power ball power play and Andre Fetchnikov is on the board with a power play goal. One- nothing Hurricanes. This is his fourth shot of the game. AO wins the draw clean. No reluctance to fire it. utilization of the screen. Leans right into it and buries it just what the doctor ordered it. The boards get this one set for Hurdle. A hammage hurdle gives chase to dumping the puck in the corner. He and Goss barrel fight for it. You see stick his nose in out front. Martner with a chance to score. Pavl Dora Foff his eighth of the season and Vegas has even this one at one. Vegas forced a turnover after Hurdle just wills himself to get the puck and Aaho went reaching number one as the low centerman trying to get the puck and then Anderson placed a major priority on trying to move laterally and into the shot and his longtime teammate in Toronto Marner took advantage. Heck of a job Hurdle just keeping it alive. Hurdle gets a very important assist on the goal and I would say that Theodore his numbers as he skates it away and he’ll drop it back for Eel. Eel gets a team boule from the crowd able to keep it in. Durham up shot and scores. His second of the period and on the power play. Vegas has taken a 2-1 lead. on a streak so far this season. Thought Carolina was going to seal it off with the entry, but it’s Jack Eel that in my opinion, it’s a one-man entry. Could have been back the other way in a short-handed clear. Theodore puts it right on a T. I mean, I think Anderson gets a pretty clean look. It might have grazed the stick. AO and company, they could use an effort like that that here in this one. And no cost is there on the bench to start the period but Carolina right on time and Schmidt makes the save on Speednikov who was looking for his second. Vegas right back on it trying to get to the attack is Reinhardt. They send this one in and a chance. Anderson denying Kolasar there hang around a week ago Monday in Vegas. Will we remember this one on Kasar? Patience. When I said in the first period, as good as he’s been this year, I thought he was had a little bit too much movement at times. Loose puck comes out to Aaho. Ao, he’s going to feed this one across. Victation with a shot. Schmidt sees it. Rebound out for Aaho out in front to Aaho. Baked it off of Schmidt. Wants to find Hall. Little too far off of the glass. Kasar. He works this. And now breaking in on Anderson and hitting the post was Reinhardt. Now running gun hockey here. Chatfield for Reinhardt. Thought he was going to put Vegas up, but the post kind to Carolina. It’s 2-1 in the second period. Vegas. Here comes Nikolai Eers. Carry this one into the Vegas zone. Across the plate, drags his shot. Mitch gets the blocker to it. Yeah. On the blue line, he’d be playing on your third pair. He’s thrust into a much bigger role. This was the pass. Eichel setting it up for Theodore. Holtz with it now. He’s turning with it. He’ll leave it for Eel. This will be chipped away by Martinook. Here comes Martin on a breakaway. He scores. [Applause] Jordan Martinook has tied this one at two with his first of the season. He had the big hit. did Martin on Eel needing a spark earlier in the period. Now he strips Eel with a puck and is able to squibble it through the legs of Schmidt to tie this game. Outstanding stuff from Jordan Martin. Head up. Looks like that puck goes from mid to low. Carolina trying to clear. [Applause] Stall reaches for it but it bounces to Marner. He spins it out front. Doria shuttles a shot and a save made by Anderson. Still loose in the blue paint. Carolina getting his stick to it. Anderson recovers. It comes back to Hutton and this will stay in. Good play by Hutton. I think Nishan saved a goal, Mike. He gets the deflection out in front. Daria. Second chance. Nations right there. Chatfield there. Stall. Carolina. Little bit of desperation helping out their net minder. We’re tied at two. McNav moves the skate plate away. Martin Hook a man without a country shot out in front that hits the post. Barbashev and company on the sharp angle deal. Power play. Carolina’s hit all sorts of post this year. The iron luck has been on their side. Get it to Mner. Mner can’t get it past Jarvis. Jarvis can’t clear. Theodore will keep it in. 40 seconds remaining in the period. Mner trying to go through traffic out in front. Mr. Anderson. Oh, he had help as well with Janowski to keep it out. The stick could never be more true than that. Wow, what a save with effort coming in from Janowski with all the injuries on defense. He’s on the back end. What a save from Frederick Anderson. The defenseman played the first period for Carolina did Gosses Bear and then McCain’s rookie defenseman Nstrom took a puck in the face from Braden McNab. when he had to play defense for Scotty Bowman. Might have played at a Norris Trophy level. I remember watching that rushing five as Chatfield gets this one in. Stan Co. He scores. [Applause] Put some stake on that one. Logan Stankov puts Carolina in the lead. It’s 32 Hurricanes. What a laser from Stan Coven. Hall to Blake. Blake takes the hit to make the play across the ice. The old beautiful drag from Logan Stan Coven. Get the goalender moving and then just let it fly off the toe, off the post and in. And Carolina facing all sorts of adversity have a onegoal lead in the third period. Paul, Paul and Blake and then use the show coming up with a steal and drag. Schmidt with the save followup chance here. Martin Hook that’ll be deflected out. Kolazar in front of the Kings bench. Coin to Jenowski have a little flip into the zone finishes off. Vegas is able to clear. Put this on the table. Hen coming in. Hen with a move and he scores. Red Hen turned on the speed and found a way to slip it past Anderson and we’re tied at three. Similar to Stan Cobin’s goal that you make a play just inside your own blue line, but going back to that breakaway chance for Reinhardt in the second period. I think there was a going to school portion of this, not to go to the backhand, but in really impressive fashion to drag it back to the forehand. The the referees are getting together here into the Vegas zone. Working his way around Theodore. Tries to reverse it. Does Blake. He gets it up top. Nestrom with it. Nestrom to Hall. Hall with a good job to keep it in. Now here’s Eel on a break. Eichel shoots and scores. Eichel takes advantage of a turnover inside his own blue line and is able to bury this one and it’s 4-3 Vegas hockey game. You know, Nestrom had tried to force the play to Hall. So Hall was handcuffed and Eel in the same spot that he turned the puck over leading to Martinook’s goal in the second period. Release and stride and beats Anderson to the blocker side. [Music] Barbashev with a good pass to Spring. Yeah. Left here in the third. Warner up for Barbashev. And Barbashev trying to work around from Sori. Set it up for Eel. He scores. Jack Ekeel on the nice feed from Barbashev. Burries it. And Vegas has a two-goal lead. It’s 53 on Eel’s second of the period. Here with the game on the line has certainly shown why he’s as good of a player as there is in the National Hockey League right now. [Applause] Barbashef uses the back of the net. Took a peak breakdown in coverage for the Hurricanes and Eel makes no mistake. Jumps on the ice. Takeover tries to win it. Kept in by Nikan. Hasley to beat the clock. Nikesian Walker. His pass was intercepted. Carlson will send it across. Hurdle back to the net and that will do it. It’s 6-3 Vegas with 21.4 seconds remaining here in the third. Good anticipation from Carlson. That pass from Nikesian for the one-time. Did not have a lot on it. In action on Thursday against the Islanders here at Lenovo Center, our next TV game will be in Boston on Saturday.
