Tyler Shough Named Saints Starter! | Will He Save Their Season?

Well, this was absolutely inevitable. Uh Tyler Shuck has been named the starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints for this Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. They have been committed to this point to one guy, Spencer Rattler. You’ve had some opportunities. Rattler is not elevating you, and you’re not very good offensively. You have the best odds to finish with the worst record, meaning you’d have the number one pick. You have got to give Tyler Shuck the opportunity, the same opportunity that Spencer Rattler has had from the last year and through eight games this year. You gave him half the season. But the question you’re going to have to answer in April is are you using that top five pick on your franchise quarterback or are you using that on a cornerstone franchise piece? I’m not expecting this to be great, but we got to see what it looks like so you can have as much information as possible when you go into the draft process in April to know if you are picking a quarterback or if you’re picking someone else to complement your young quarterback.     -OL: inconsistent

    The defense has improved the past few games, but I don't like Staley as the DC.

    Until Mickey Loomis is fired as GM, nothing will change for my Saints in the post-Payton/Brees era

  7. I think Rattler looked fine with what he had to work with. HOWEVER, we need to know what we have in Shough. We just HAVE to. No better time than that game to switch. Let’s see what we have and plan for the future.

  10. I can bet my last dollar they’ll regret this the same way the browns, giants, jets etc regret moving on from qb’s who can actually play at a high level with the right cast and game plan.

    Bake mayfield, Daniel’s, darnold all are giving mutiple seasons so I understand why after a while they were let go.

    Rattler was given 14 games with half of those games being played with backups and yall gave up on him even tho he showed growth MOST games.

    I just can’t wait for this to bite us in the ass because tbh I love being right and this is an obvious case
