Chris Jones calls him a heck of a locker room guy in the article. I know that isn’t our biggest need, nor was he making a difference here, but I feel like a player requesting to be released because a former teammate wanted him back screams volumes about the Bengals experience.

Forgot to note that he is expected to meet/sign with KC again today.
Who?
Ass player wants off ass defense so he takes less shit for being ass. This is surprising?
We’re not serious people. 🙁
> it’s a significant addition for Kansas City.
Lmao yeah I guess their bench was getting a little cold without him.
Mike was good the first few games, iirc. I was excited when we got him tbh, mainly for depth. That locker room must be collapsing if you have a guy like Pennel requested to be released and it was rumored signing with the Bengals was his FU to the Chiefs after releasing him.

I dont mind dropping a vet to let them pursue a super bowl on a team that will likely miss the playoffs. I have an issue when we do it at the request of their star player (who beat us in a conference game). Should have at least got a 6th or something for him.
The Bengals are going nowhere fast. Anyone with a brain would take the opportunity to go back to a legit title contender instead of wasting away on a team that realistically will never win anything.
Yea i dont understand really. A guy says my old team wants me back and we just say ok here you go. There has to be more to it. Maybe zacks speech on needing leadership in the D Pissed him off?
Good for him. Surprised the Bengals honored his request honestly.
Chris Jones had one of the worst plays on any d this year, zero effort on the Lawrence td game winner.
The bengals locker room is toast
Maybe he was supposed to scout burrow and sow division. 1/2 accomplished.
The same Chris Jones who didn’t even try on goal line D the other week?
Thats some heavy editorializing you’re doing with that headline
