Very interesting to see the AAV here. He allegedly turned down 9.6/year for 7 years. He is on a SIXTY goal pace this year.Â
If he was already betting on himself, why stop now when you’re already primed to have the best statistical season of your life? Assuming he plays at this rate all year, and we make the playoffs, he could have probably signed for 12-14/year. Can’t help but feel this is either a swindle from GMBA or they’re looking to make another big signing. Maybe both? Either way, we’ll have about 2-4 mil more to play with than expected, I’d imagine Bill has something up his sleeveÂ
Probably sweetened the original offer with how well he’s been playing. Also telling that the young guys want to re-up with the Mammoth because they(hopefully) see a great future here.

This makes Logan the 17th highest paid player (by cap hit) in the NHL. Good for him. I hope that the league growing will help keep pushing up the Salary Cap so we can keep this core of young players who will all deserve to get paid.

Trunks out and up! All the way up!! This contract will age well. Great deal! He’s on track for 80+ pts this year, only year 3! better every year! He will be one of the top producing forwards in the NHL in the coming years. 100+ pts year after year, he is a goal scorer not just a 2nd assist guy. He may even crack the US olympic team, has been a winner at all levels including international play. He’s also only 21 years of age.
Cooley is worth every dime! Contract gonna be a STEAL by the end. Our young homegrown star is secured, TUSKS UP🦣🔥
Saw a tweet showing we have JJ, Cooley, Gunner, Sergy, and Veggie until 2030 LFG!!!!
Damn, Cooley is really trying to make me fall in love with him.
It’s my first true season as a hockey fan, and I can say after these 11 games that I made a great decision picking Utah, with Cooley’s extension the young core is now locked for years to come !
