Logan Cooley Is Tearing It Up With the Utah Mammoth to Start the Season
Logan Kohley is playing absolutely amazing. Let’s talk about it. I talk hockey every single day so make sure you floss so you don’t miss anything. But whenever the reports came out that Logan Kohley turned down an 8-year contract that would have seen him being paid $9.6 million a season. There were some people scratching their heads and saying that that is a lot of money that he’s not even quite worth yet. Why would he turn that down? Well, it seems like his bet is paying off through nine games. He has 10 points in seven goals. In his last two games, he is five goals alone. It’s still very early in the season, but if he goes through and puts up 40, 45 goals this year, which I think is definitely reasonable for him, he could make so much more money, whether it be 10, 11, 12 million dollars, and I think it’d be well worth it, especially with the salary cap just exploding over the next couple years. I think any contract at that type of value would be very good for him, especially with how good the Utah Mammoth are this season. And I think they’re going to keep getting better over the next couple seasons. They’re very well positioned to keep going forward. So, I think any sort of contract with him would be very good for the team. Just the Utah Mammoth as a whole has been an absolute buzzaw this season. and they’re currently 7-2 and sit in first place in the central division and they are playing some amazing hockey and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.
