They’ve done a great job at getting Dike the ball lately. Really hope he can develop in a solid wr.
One positive about this year
Haven’t gotten to watch a lot of games where I’m located. How has Elic been playing? Saw a lot of hype early when he has a couple games putting up some numbers but those stats kind of fell off and the chatter about him did too. Still playing well? Seem to be developing?
I really thought Dike was gonna be limited as a gadget player offensively, but his separation and hands have been really impressive lately. Dike and Ayomanor can be a solid WR2 and WR3 if Ayo can fix his drops.
The Dynasty sub has a stat threshold that they commonly use for rookie WRs, which is the 525 yard mark. The WRs that hit 525 receiving yards as a rookie frequently end up being worthwhile players while it’s rare for those that go under it to end up breaking out. Ayo is currently on pace to hit it, and Dike can reach it if he averages 37 yards a game going forward. Should be interesting to monitor.
Really wanna see Helm get more targets though. He’s not as fast/athletic as Chig, but it feels like he catches nearly everything thrown his way.
I don’t want to be a downer but they are on the field majority of the time and between the three of them, only having 168 yards is kinda low.
I actually do think these three will be positive contributors to the team for years to come. But there is something funny about this.
“Well, Ridley and Oliver are both injured, we got rid of Lockett, we just called up Mason Kinsey solely for ST (which he didn’t exactly do well), and Van Jefferson has reached a point where he’s barely targetable at all, so all we have in terms of pass-catchers is one middling 4th-year TE and three rookies. But just look at these rooks rack up yards!”
Dike has made the past few weeks worth watching. He’s putting up numbers now that could see him get to that 700 to 750 yard threshold you like to see for a rookie. That would be 62 per game from here on out.
He just looks so much better and more electric than anyone except maybe tyjae at this point.
Everyone else looks slow or can’t show out because they can’t catch lol
I really want to see what this offense looks like with a bonafide WR1. If we can luck into the 1st overall pick again and trade back several spots, we may the draft capital to get that done. Roll into next year with a top-level rookie WR, Ayomanor, Dike + Helm. Then we find our next star RB in 2027. That’s an offense that could look really good if Cam ends up being the guy.

Look, we are a LONG way away, but if next year’s draft can impact the defense the way this year’s has impacted the offense, we won’t be as far away for long.
