Well what do ya know?

  1. Time for round 8 of this debate….. I just hope we kick the shit out of the raiders and Texans so we can get back on the good vibes train.

  2. Trevor has no touch, he throws absolute rockets when the reciever 5-10 yards away but under throws deep passes

  3. To be fair Trevor doesn’t deserve all the blame, but how can anyone watch the way he’s played and say there’s nothing wrong with his passes.

  4. I agree, nothing wrong with his passes. However, there’s definitely something wrong with his field vision and not seeing WIDE OPEN guys. I’ve seen it in person. The guy just doesn’t see the whole field.

  5. He’s adjusting to a new drop back style. Changed his whole process, looks serviceable and still has a ton of meat on the bone. Just got his first H2H win over mahomes. Let’s see his second half of the season. Even if we want to replace him, it doesn’t happen until end of next year unless yall want to bring in Flacco or something, which would be moronic

We could draft a project qb next year, but that’s dumb too because we have so many other needs

  6. Jags need a WR1. BTJ was that last year. They haven’t had one outside of him during the Trevor era. Something needs to change

  7. I have dudes at my job repeating the same shit they read. And they don’t even watch our games. And these dudes are mid to early 20s. It’s a combination of drops Trevor forcing passes to make up for drops and not taking what the defense gives him. He wasn’t like this last year nor that year we went to the playoffs.

  8. I think we need to just use BTJ primarily as a deep option. Streaks, deep outs, deep crossers, deep slants vs man, deep comebacks

Trevor’s passes also have less velocity after they have traveled 20+ yards in the air making them easier for BTJ to secure

Give Dyami and Travis Hunter, and Stange the other stuff, get them the ball in space, quick to intermediate options with occasional different looks where one goes deep

Let him make wide open catches when he beats his man

Let Travis Hunter and Dyami get the ball in space and on gadgety plays. Ins, shallow crosses, shallow outs

Get BTJ into deep looks, deep crossers where he’s all alone, let him get back to his bread and butter, then when he does that well again we can come back to trying to use him differently. Let him burn his guy, then give him the ball.

I think Coen already knows this and is making that adjustment based on his comments

“Looking at ways to utilize our guy’s strengths coming out of the bye”

And he said he “had a good talk with BTJ this morning” in the conference where he said we’re not trading BTJ

BTJ needs to get his confidence back and I think letting him do what he does best is the way to get there. It’ll also shut people up because 2 or 3 big gain catches is a good day for a WR and that’s how he thrived last year

  9. Drops are mental and the general inability for Jax people to understand mental health is making his problem worse. BTJ will be a stud once he’s out of Jax, like so many other players. All the smartest people from your high school live out of town now, don’t they?
