  1. Mike has had one of the most brutal player fall-offs I’ve seen, no idea who John Metchie is but Mougey honestly fleeced to even get a 6th/7th round pick swap for 2025 MCII. Good night sweet prince, we’ll always have your 2023 lockdown season 😢

  2. It’s a good move honestly.

Carter wasn’t a fit in Glenn’s majority man scheme. His strength is zone which was Salehs base.

  3. I’m a fan of metchie going back to college so that plus the trade swap seems like a solid deal

  4. That contract was backloaded. He is due $12.25 the next 2 seasons. I’m surprised the Eagles took that on. Hopefully it works out for everyone.

  5. MCII was a solid jet. Hope he does well. Brownlee has been making places and his replacement. All is well

  6. Assuming MC2 had no path back to snaps, this is a great deal. Move up a round, dump MC2s contract, and take a flier on a once solid WR prospect with no strings attached

  7. I honestly like this. Carter is having a down year and we have other guys who can play the position and we need help at WR. Is Metchie going to be a WR2? Probably not but worth a shot

  8. I am OK with this trade. It doesn’t knock my socks off, but I think it’s a positive.
With Thomas and Brownlee fast emerging, there was little likelihood that they were gonna re-up Carter anyway.
Any wide receivers an upgrade, considering how ridiculously thin we were before all the injuries so… 👍🏼

  9. God, I loved John Metchie when he was in the draft. Unfortunately, things haven’t exactly worked out for him. He had about the most unlucky start to anybody who has ever been in the league. If you can somehow figure it out and be even close to what he was in college. The dude ceiling is insanely high. Unfortunately, he hasn’t really figured it out but he’s had a lot of competition.

  10. Happy about this. Just getting out of Carter’s contract is enough. Pick swap and an interesting reclamation project who’s never gotten a real fair chance on top of that. Great job.

  11. Sounds like a good trade but Carter was great for us and I’d be happy if it were a win win for Carter’s sake. At least he’ll be involved in meaningful games!
