Gonna be tough

  1. I think it’s likely we lose this one unfortunately, no Kornet kills a lot of our rotational depth. Shocked he’s still not back.

When was Sochan meant to return? Feel like he’s been out much longer than anticipated also, but I could be wrong.

  2. Started to feel bad for Biyombo. Dude is a good vet and he was prob expecting just a few random minutes here and there. Now he’s being counted on and looks he dropped off big from last season

  3. First they said Fox would miss first week and then they said Jeremy would miss 2-3 games.

  4. How long will Kornet be out? Was it a very bad sprain? I thought it was just precautionary?

  5. The nice thing about being 4-0 is we can afford to give these guys more time to get up to full speed and be comfortable. The last thing you want to do is risk reinjury.

I would like more info on Kornet though. I haven’t heard anything definitive about his timeline.

  6. Let’s see what happens. This is good experience for the team when it’s their turn to step up!

  7. I’m guessing we weren’t expecting to start 4-0 and the record is probably buying more time for the injured to rest. Hoping it’s just precautions.

  8. I wish we could get any type of timeline for Luke beyond “hopefully it’s not longterm” this shit stinks. I’m not trying to doom but I just don’t think we win with these guys out, Heat have a great bench and Biyombo isn’t gonna cut it out there. Idk man, annoying we lost our big FA signing after 2 games (albeit hopefully very temporarily)

  9. Tough match indeed. But keep in mind, Biyombo could have a good game this time. He was looking better last season than what we have seen from him on the last few games. No reason he’d play that bad everytime.

We still have the best defender of the league available for up to 36 minutes on 48, and so many guys have looked amazing since the start of the season.

  10. I think it’s hard to guess how it will go. Watching the Spurs vs like any other team atm the Spurs looks very different because of the 30ish minutes Wemby is on the floor. When you look at Miami’s wins they are just torching people from 3. Will the unique look the Spurs defense gives teams throw that off? I don’t know… but I like our chances.

  11. We just need for Champagne and Barnes to have a flamethrower game where we build enough lead that even if Wemby sits it won’t matter. We got this, GSG!

Also, for this exact reason, I think its best we still have a younger rotational center that we can develop, either through draft or trade.

  12. Bummer after the last two seasons I was ecstatic we had a competent center to complement/back up Wemby. Would love to see them make history tomorrow night, would be feeling a lot better if we at least had Kornet back
