We were looking down at some of the comments down here and a lot of you guys are very very confident about this game going up against the Jets today. The Bengals are a six and a half point favorite for this ball game. It is at home and it’s against a team that just has not been very good at all here to start the season. And the Jets have started the season 0 and7. They do not have a single win so far this year. I think it’s kind of funny sometimes. The same exact thing happened on the Bama stream yesterday. Actually, um it was actually the same exact rankings as well. Uh the Jets defense number 26 in terms of that scoring defense in the National Football League. The Bengals scoring offense number 26 in the NFL as well. So, a battle of the 26s going against each other here in today’s game. We’ll see what happens. But I do have some confidence that the Bengals have an opportunity to get back up to 500. And if they win this game today, I think there’ll be a half game now behind the Steelers in the AFC North battle here. So, uh, very, very good opportunity for this Bengals team to get a win against the lowly New York Jets today. But first, want to uh get to the Bengals inactives today. Nothing really, you know, super surprising. Marco Wilson’s been on the injury report pretty much all week. Um, so he’s going to be active or inactive today, excuse me. Uh Matt Lee, uh Germaine Burton also is going to be a healthy scratch as well today. Cam Grandandy a healthy scratch. Um uh McKinley Jackson a healthy scratch and Cam Sample was also on that injury report as well. The big news though, Trey Hendrickson is active for today’s game. And we’ll talk about why that obviously is so significant for the Bengals here. By the way, Daltton Risner this morning was added to the injury report as questionable with an illness, but he is active today. So, that is going to be something of note there. Um, I think I got a notification earlier. Um, let me just go back and check this real quick because they did say Jaylen Rivers was going to be starting at guard and I just wanted to see who the other guard um was going to be here. I believe it was Ben Baby that tweeted it out just a little bit ago there. But um, you know, of note as well, the Bengals elevated Joe Giles Harris from the practice squad to the active roster. think that really has to do with Cedric Johnson, you know, kind of dealing with that calf injury there. Um, let’s see. Yeah, projected starters Dylan Fairchild and Jaylen Rivers at those at those guard spots. So, something to monitor on that front there. Um, but that is your inactives there for the Bengals. Daltton Risner is active, but we’ll see if he ends up playing today. The Jets though, uh, that man, they they’ve got a lot of really key players on their injury report. Sauce Gardner, their number one corner, is going to be out today with an injury. Uh, Garrett Wilson, also their number one wide receiver. He’s out with an injury. And Tyrod Taylor, there was kind of some back and forth whether or not he was going to play in this game over Justin Fields. Uh, Tyrod Taylor now dealing with a I believe it was a bruise on his knee. So, he’s going to be out. One thing of note though, Bree Hall, he was kind of dealing with some stuff. Starting running back for the Jets. He is active today. So, we went ahead and put that on there because I did think that was of note. But, you know, Woody Johnson, the owner of the Jets, he was talking a lot of crap this week about Justin Fields. And, you know, we a lot of us kind of expected Tyrod Taylor to be the starter for the Jets today. That is not going to happen. It is going to be Justin Fields. And you know, one thing he has done a good job of is taking care of the football. Um, doesn’t have any interceptions so far this year. He’s also doing a pretty good job running the ball as well. But my god, he’s taken 22 sacks so far this year. Still hasn’t clipped that uh thousand yard passing mark yet so far this year. And he’s just being, you know, super hesitant. Kind of the same thing that, you know, he was dealing with with the Bears as well. A really bad offensive line and he’s just not letting the ball go. So, uh, we we’ll see Justin Fields in this game today. Uh, but, you know, against this Bengals defense, you never really know how things are going to go there. The Jets so far this year, we talked about it. They have not won a single game. Against the Steelers, started off the season, that one was actually kind of close. Lost that one 34-32 against the Bills. Got kind of got blown out in that one. Against the Bucks, that one was close as well. The Dolphins are bad, so that one was a one-sore game there. uh you know against the Cowboys really that game was over. Um you know they they had some garbage time scores in that one there so it made it a little bit closer. Against the Broncos though I I will say the past two weeks this Jets defense has gotten a whole lot better. So we’ll see if Joe Flacco can continue to push the ball downfield. But, you know, with Sauce Gardner being out for today’s game, I think the uh I think the Bengals offense might be rolling, but their defensive line is still pretty good. And we’ll talk about Quinnon Williams and and all those guys here in just a little bit as well. But I do want to make note about this Bengals scoring offense. You know, right now, uh you know, they are ranked in the NFL scoring offense number 26 um in the NFL. But a lot of that has to do with a really really poor play of uh Jake Browning there through the first five games. Obviously Joe Burrow was in there in the first game um and got hurt kind of midway through that second game there, but still you weren’t really scoring a lot of points there. So we’re going to throw, you know, most of that there on Jake Browning. The Bengals were scoring 17 points per game. The last two games under Joe Flacco, Bengals are scoring 25 and a half points per game. And I will say as well, you know, a lot of that w was even inflated um you know, the first five games there because you scored 31 against the Jags um and you scored 24 against the Lions. You know, some of that, you know, a lot of those scores versus the Lions were in garbage time as well. So, it was even worse than really what that 17 points per game in the first five games there uh really says. But last two weeks, this uh you know, Bengals offense has kind of been humming. So, hopefully they can do the exact same thing today. All right. saw a couple of you guys put your score predictions down in the comments section earlier, I want you guys to do it again. And anybody that’s new here watching in the chat, get those score predictions in. Man, the confidence level right now is very, very high amongst Bengals fans. Got uh Bengals winning 100 to nothing from Phantom. Uh Lorenzo saying 64 zip Bengals win. Oh my. Bill Clinton in the chat as well saying 30 or excuse me 77-3 Bengals win. Uh Mike probably with a more realistic score here saying 24-10 Bengals. My score prediction I think it was 31-7 I think it was the other day. So uh had the Bengals scoring a little bit in this game and uh you know their defense holding this really really bad Jets offense to only seven points. That’s what I had going there. Um, Fan actually Phantom Phantom changes changed his he said 20 to nothing. That’s that’s realistic there. Uh, I do like that one there. Let’s see. Um, we had a couple more that I wanted to scroll up to. Uh, yeah, Bill Clinton, by the way, also said Justin Fields does have two fumbles so far this year. I was more or less talking about him, you know, throwing interceptions and stuff like that. Um but but the fact that he’s been sacked 22 times to me is just absolutely insane. And the Bengals have Trey Hendrickson and Shamar Stewart playing together for the first time since game two. I think that is very very notable. We’ll see if they can get a pass rush going. That’s going to be one of our keys to victory for this game today. Uh Phantom said he put money on this game. Need the Bengals to win. Man, I tell you what, if the Bengals lose this game and end up being the Jets first win today, uh I might lose my freaking mind. I might lose my mind. I might I might break my pen. I might break my pen if that happens. Uh let’s see. Nolan said Bengals win 31-7. Like that score prediction there. Yeah. Uh Bill Clinton said it would be embarrassing. It would be embarrassing. Let’s see. Sean said Bengals win 31 to6. That’s that’s kind of where I’m feeling right now. kind of in the 30s to the lowscoring Jets there. Um probably I I do think the Jets will probably get on the board. Um you know, especially with Justin Field’s running ability and Bree Hall being in there as well cuz I mean Bree Hall is pretty much their entire offense right now. Phantom said, “Oh man, if the Bengals lose, he’s going to shave his head.” Well, hope that doesn’t happen there, Phantom. Hope that does not happen. and got 31 to nothing from Joshua as well down there in the score predictions. Keep getting those score predictions down there in the comments section. Let’s get into a couple keys to victory here for today’s game. Number one, uh the Bengals got to be able to generate some pass rush, man. Like I said, uh you know, Trey Hendrickson’s going to be back in this game today. He is a go. Shamar Stewart is also going to be a go in this game. And the Jets offensive line, man, they have just been so so bad so far in the season. You can see some of the uh you know, stats that we got right here from Pro Football Focus. Um Olu Fosinu, left tackle. He’s given up three sacks, 22 pressures. So that’s probably going to be on Shamar Stewart’s side of the ball there. Uh John Simpson, left guard, he’s given up three sacks, 16 pressures. Josh Meyers, only one sack, 15 pressures. Uh Joe uh Tipman has given up five sacks so far this year and 18 pressures. And Arman Mimu as well giving up a lot of pressures and a couple of sacks there as well. So man, this this Bengals defensive line, they should be able to eat in this game. And especially with Bree Hall also going to be in this game as well. I do think that is of note. Um, you know, I I know we love to crap on the Bengals offensive line, but the Jets offensive line is even worse than what they are. So, um, you know, whether it’s BJ Hill, TJ Sllayton, I think those guys have done pretty well so far this season. Chris Jenkins Jr. continues to come along here. Obviously, McKinley Jackson is, you know, out. He’s a healthy scratch for this game. I think Mike Penel has even been pretty good for the Bengals so far this year as well. So, uh, we’ll see if they can end up generating some pressure in this game today because the Bengals defense, I I think they have played a little bit better than what some of these numbers really say here. Mainly because, you know, the first couple of games of the season, especially when you had Jake Browning out there. You know, he was turning the ball over three, four times per game and your your defense was just constantly having to go out there. So, uh, you know, the Jets, um, the Jets offense is just as bad as what the Bengals defense here is. So, you know, it’s kind of a rock in a hard place. You know what what’s the um, what’s that saying, Billy? When a object immovable force, unstoppable force, immovable object. I think this is the same kind of thing here. Just two really bad units here. You can see the comparisons right here between the Bengals defense and the Jets offense. Yeah, it’s it’s just not very good. Now, the one thing the Jets have been able to do a little bit of is run the football. Number nine in the NFL. Bree Hall is their entire offense right now. So, uh you know, like we said, this is going to be the first game since game two that the Bengals have had both Trey Hendrickson and uh Sheamar Stewart ready and active in the lineup here. Maybe we’ll also see a little bit of uh you know, Joseph Oside, Miles Murphy in there, too. But uh remember Cam Sample’s kind of been dealing with an injury here and he is inactive for the Bengals today. But uh like I said, Joe Giles Harris also in there um you know, with uh Cedric Johnson being out dealing with that calf injury there. So we will see if you know who’s really going, you know, to be worse. Is it going to be the Bengals defense or is it going to be the Jets offense? So, I want you guys to get down inside the comments section and let me know your confidence level in the Bengals getting a win today versus the New York Jets. Right now, it seems like everybody’s pretty high on the Bengals. Um, but you know, any given Sunday, you never know what could happen in the NFL. You definitely do not want to be the first team to give the Jets a win. You just do not want that to happen. Okay. So, let me know your confidence level. One on the low end, 10 on the high end, one you think there’s no way the Bengals win, 10 you think there’s no way the Bengals lose. I’m probably a seven. I’m probably a seven right now. I’m feeling a little bit more confident in this Bengals offense being able to score. I don’t think the defense is as bad as we’ve seen so far this year. Uh they did get some key stops as well against the Steelers, especially on third downs. Uh, let’s see. Uh, Phantom is saying I I don’t even know what that number is. A trillion. The New York Jokes, they really are a joke of a franchise, man. Since Mark Sanchez left, like they they haven’t been able to do anything. That’s a shame. That’s a shame. Flack around and find out. One of my best friends actually is a New York Jets fan. So, I texted him um in the buildup to this game and I was like, “Hey, man, like what’s the deal with the Jets, man? Is their defense good or bad?” And he was basically saying, you know, first couple of weeks their defense was absolutely god awful. Um but here in the past couple of weeks which we saw um just a little while ago uh when we put up that um when we put up the thing there their defense has actually come around here. So uh let’s see. Mike just does not trust Zack Taylor. Fair. Fair. Yeah, he’s he’s a my best friend is a Jets fan, man. It’s just absolutely brutal on him. And it’s hilarious because um you know he he just he is that uh delusional Jets fan. Like he is the Jets fan that everybody thinks every Cowboys fan is or this is our year type fan. Every single draft, every single offseason he’s like, “Man, we’ve we put such good roster together. We like we we’ve done so many good things here in the offseason.” No, they they just still suck. They still suck. So, we’ll see if the Bengals can get it done today against the Jets. Key to victory number two for this game today. Can you create some mismatches for Jamar Chase and T Higgins? Um, you know, last week I think it was uh, you know, very evident that they were able to do that. You know, T. Higgins had a careerhigh in targets there. And I the big key thing in this game, Sus Gardner the best cover corner for this Jets team. He is going to be out with an injury in this game. You can see his stats right there. One thing of note as well, the Jets do not have an interception so far this season. So, uh, you know, Joe Flacco since he has been with the Bengals does not have an interception either. He’s done a really good job taking care of the football. he um you know when he was with the Browns he had a couple interceptions with them but you know a lot of that I think really had to do with how bad the Browns wide receiver core really is. You know their tipped passes you know dropping balls um you know the first couple of weeks of the season I think they had like 11 drop balls. That was the most in the NFL. You put him in this Bengals offense with Jamar Chase and T. Higgins and it has just come alive. He is pushing the ball down the field. he is making the right plays whether it’s pushing the ball downfield or creating some of those checkdowns to um to Chase Brown. He’s also helped Chase Brown out a lot I think as well. Uh you know just opening up this Bengals offense um you know it it really does help Chase Brown in terms of that running game as well. We’ll talk about that here in just a little bit as well. But you know, uh, Damen Sherwood, Jets linebacker, he’s given up 25 out of 29 receptions or 29 re or excuse me, Jesus, 25 receptions out of 29 targets so far this year. There’s there’s just been a lot of times where he’s just looked really really lost in pass coverage. So maybe you can utilize some of those guys like Noah Fant in the slot as well. you know, Jamar Chase, he’s actually got the number two uh number of snaps for this Bengals team in terms of uh snaps in the slot there. So, I think uh you know, they’re they’re definitely going to utilize some of those matchups, especially against these Jets linebackers. Um and I think these guys are just going to cook today. You know, I I’ve kind of given a lot of crap to Andre Yoshi Boss over the past couple of weeks. PF right now has Andre Yoshi Boss uh with three drops. I honestly kind of think it’s probably a couple more than that, but you know, we’ll give him the benefit of of the doubt there. Noah Fant though, man, what a pickup he has been for this Bengals team in the uh you know, off season. We talked about Chase Brown. He’s doing a lot of pass catching stuff, you know, out of the back field as well. Um so, we’ll see who ends up being some of those leading receivers for the Bengals today. Germaine Burton, he is a healthy scratch for this game. So, we’ll see. You know, there’s been some times, man, I I’ve talked about those Bengals receiving core, some of those backups there, Mitchell Tinsley and, uh, you know, Charlie Jones. I don’t know, man. You know, Andre Yoshi Boss, he’s he’s shown his flashes, but for the most part, you know, he’s kind of been a bit of a non-factor at times this year for the Bengals. I still want to see some more Mitchell Tinsley. And Charlie Jones has like 10 snaps on offense so far this year. I would love to see a little bit more of him today. Halo Clan also asking about Mike Gaseki if he is active today. No, he’s going to be out for a while with that pectoral injury. So, um, not going to see any Mike Gaseki today. But the good thing about the Bengals, they probably have one of the best, uh, you know, tight end cores in the National Football League. So, um, I don’t think, you know, Mike Gaseki definitely one of your better pass catchers there, but I don’t think that’s going to be the biggest of issues for the Bengals. So, get down to the comments and let me know who scores the first touchdown for the Bengals today. He had an NFL season high in targets as well. No receiver so far this year has had more targets than Jamar Chase last week. And T, I believe it was also a season high for him in targets as well with only 10. I think before that his his season high was eight. Uh Wolf King saying I think Joe Flacco might score 67. They wanted a player, uh, I forget exactly who the player was, but I remember his contract was about $14 million. Um, Grover Stewart, they tried to trade for Grover Stewart, uh, defensive tackle there, and his contract’s like 18 or $14 million right now. So, I mean, $18 million isn’t, you know, that much of a difference there. And also, you’re offsetting some of that with, uh, you know, if you did indeed end up, uh, you know, trading, uh, Logan Wilson there. So, I I don’t know. I think the Bengals will do something at the trade deadline. I do not think it’s over yet. Um especially with now Logan Wilson putting in that trade request. And you know, we’ll see if the Bengals actually do honor it. Um but you know, I I said in our video the other day when Logan Wilson put in that trade request that I do think it would hurt the Bengals just in terms of, you know, Logan Wilson’s a culture guy. He’s literally your team captain. You know, you you voted for him as a team captain. Um, and you know, even though he hasn’t been playing as much here the past couple of weeks, he’s still been out there during the uh, you know, during practices. You know, he’s out there going through warm-ups. He’s doing a lot in terms of helping out some of those younger linebackers in Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter there. So, uh, he he knows what it is to be a Cincinnati Bengal. He’s a culture guy. So, I just don’t think it would be um you know, in the best interest of this Bengals team unless you could get a player that could help you out. I just don’t know who that would end up being. Maybe that ends up being a you know, corner that’s trying to get a uh you know, new home here. That could end up happening as well. I think if you end up trading Logan Wilson, I think it’s got to be for a corner, a safety, or maybe even an offensive lineman. maybe even an offensive lineman as well. He had he even had two more carries as well that were over 20 yards there. But I will say, man, uh, Quinnon Williams is an absolute dog. Dude’s a dog. There’s a reason he’s getting paid $90 million. 31 tackles so far this year. And really, you know, he he does some squirly stuff, you know, in the uh in pass rush as well, but really what he helps out is with the run game. He is your he’s one of the best defensive tackles I think personally in the National Football League. He’s got 24 stops already so far this season. A stop according to PFF is basically a negative play for the offense. So, uh basically something that doesn’t go past, you know, three yards is basically what a stop is there. He has also forced three fumbles so far this year. And he’s getting in the back field a lot with seven TFLs. So, we’ll see if those uh you know, rookie guards or I guess uh yeah, both of these guys rookie guards for the Bengals can uh you know, bottle him up there. The Jets rushing defense so far this year. There’s a lot of correlation with, you know, how close some of these games have been for the Jets and how many rushing yards that they’ve given up. You know, the Steelers was a very close game, only gave up 53 yards in that game. The Bucks, they only allowed 122 yards in that one. That one was fairly close as well. The Dolphins, I think that one was a six-point game. Only 123 yards on the ground for him uh in that one there. But then that Cowboys game was um you know, a little bit closer really towards the end. They allowed 180 rushing yards in that game. So, you know, a lot of hit and miss in terms of this Jets rushing defense. They’re 23rd right now in the NFL. So, uh, we’ll see. I I really do think that, you know, the evolution right now of this Bengals offense once you ended up putting Joe Flacco in there, I think it’s helped them out so much. And not just in terms of the pass game, but also in terms of the run game as well. So, we’ll see if Chase Brown can get a big time day again for the second week in a row. Jamar Chase, though, is leading the Bengals right now in terms of receiving yards. He’s got eight catches for 61 yards. He had 11 targets in that first half. Last week, what did he have like 23 targets? So, he’s kind of on that same pace there. Yeah, Jamar Chase had 23 targets last week. Just still kind of on that same pace there. Barrett Carter though, Barrett Carter had a hell of a first half, especially in the first quarter. Um, six tackles, one TFL. A lot of those tackles though coming right at the line of scrimmage. Uh we’ve talked about these Bengals uh linebackers, these these rookie linebackers here. Demetrius Knight right there. Seven tackles as well. I I’ve talked about the linebackers saying basically, you know, they are up there, you know, leading the team right now in terms of tackles. A lot of those tackles though have come downfield. Today though, they’ve done a really good job of getting some of those tackles right at the line of scrimmage coming up uh you know, meeting those ball carriers right at the uh uh right in the hole there. Justin Fields, though, this might be the best game so far of the year for Justin Fields. Just in the first half, he was 11 for 16, 123 yards, had a touchdown. Uh, no turnovers there for Justin Fields either. Isaiah Davis, uh, doing a pretty good job, you know, on the ground. I think he’s doing some more stuff, uh, you know, receiving as well. But man, kind of a weird first half. It was an incredible first quarter by the Bengals. They were up 10 nothing in the first quarter, but then actually only outscored the the Jets 14-13 in the second quarter. So, uh, the defense kind of, uh, you know, lost that intensity there in the second quarter that they really had in the first.
