[Rapsheet] Here’s how badly Michael Carter II wanted to join the champs: Sources say he agreed to delete the $5M guaranteed for injury in his 2026 contract year to complete the trade to the #Eagles.

  1. Ya know what? Hell yea. No idea if there is any correlation between genuinely wanting to play somewhere and playing better, but it sure don’t hurt.

  2. Does this actually change anything? It’s an injury guarantee so sounds like it changes nothing about the cap hits/dollars unless he was to be injured over the off-season and going into 2026?

Seems like a small bonus overall but nothing major (I could be misunderstanding).

  3. I’m sure he’ll perform up to his standard here. Not worried about whatever current stats he had on that dumpster fire

  4. With how the FO treats their players, I have no doubt that Howie and Co. will do right by him if he deserves it

  5. Im absolutely cool for this trade. Didn’t really cost anything besides money. If he returns to form. Its a steal

  6. Oh, so the Jets finally win a game and now this guy wants out?! Why would we want him at all? /s

  7. I was confused because I thought this was the RB from North Carolina, not the CB from Duke. The former is on Arizona now, though. They were drafted the same year, too.

  8. He’s betting on himself.

I think I speak for every Eagles fan when I say it hope it works! I hope he balls out for us and helps us win another ring and then gets a big pay day either with us or someone else.

  9. Sometimes all it takes for a talented player to find his footing is just the right change of scenery and knowing that you’ve actually got something to play for.

I can’t imagine any starters on the jets are playing for anything but a paycheck at this point.

  10. He doesn’t have to play on that shit surface. Figures he has a chance of not getting hurt. I wonder if players on NY teams have more clauses like this then other teams.

  11. If I was on the Jets I’d do anything to get the hell out. Now you get a chance to not only get the hell out but to arguably the best team in the league? If he wants to play good football first make good money second I’m not surprised he’s doing whatever it takes. It’s a good look, in any case.

  12. The Eagles seem to be where the “chump change” of the league goes to get cashed in and turned into big dollars.

I am so here for it. That’s so Philly.
