It’s an angry cast, y’all. This is not going to be kind to anybody associated with this Pelicans team after a blowout loss. Really just awful. 12288 to the Denver Nuggets. It’s time to fire head coach Willie Green. They need to truthfully consider firing Joe Mars as well and just blowing up the roster, too. This era is done and it’s this game where I feel you can basically officially say it is over. We’re going to get into all of this in today’s episode of Locked On Pelicans. And of course, thank you for making Locked On Pelicans your first listen today and every day. You’re going to want to be tuned in over the next couple of days. I think to lock on Pelicans because yeah, there’s going to be a lot coming. I think there’s going to be a lot of fallout from this loss here. And it wasn’t pretty. This is about as bad as it gets. So, don’t forget you can also watch us on the GF Coast Sports and Entertainment Network. There’s over 12,000 Pelicans fans subscribed on YouTube as well. It’s over. Right. It’s game four of the season and it feels over. That’s sad. That’s pathetic. Right now, the Pelicans are the laughingstock of the NBA. That third quarter, Pelicans in this one against the Denver Nuggets down six. Close the first half on a 120 run. Down six. Get blown out. Blown out in the third quarter. 39-11. 39 to 11. That’s pathetic. This isn’t acceptable. particularly after you saw a similar thing against to a bit of a shambling Boston Celtics team. Look, you have to fire Willie Green at this point. Nothing personal. He is a truly nice guy, but you can’t have this happen. You’re 0 and4 staring down 0 and six at the end of this three-game road trip and you’re not even competitive anymore. This off season, we heard the word accountability a lot. We heard Joe Dumar, more on that guy in the next segment here. We heard him preach about we’re gonna be competitive. We’re gonna fight. We’re gonna play hard. You didn’t see any of that in the past two games. There was no competitiveness. Again, you hear the word accountability. Where is the accountability for the head coach when the team repeatedly comes out in this? And look, you can’t make players make shots and do some of this. They’re human beings with agency. But at a certain point, this has been a trend. This is not the first time this season it’s looked like this. This is not the first time in Willie Green’s tenure it has looked like this. This isn’t acceptable anymore. The simplest move you can make is firing your head coach and he’s your scapegoat for the time being. I don’t think it’ll change much. I don’t think it will change much. There’s a lot going on with this team. Jordan Pool’s playing terribly. Trey Murphy for the talk of being an all-star this year has looked so far from that. Again, Willie Green can only do so much. He’s been dealt a bad hand with injuries to this team his entire tenure here. But it doesn’t matter. The end of the day, it’s results and the results aren’t coming through with this team in even in terms of being competitive and in games. This is where you see a team that has quit on their head coach. You just have to make a change. Someone needs to come out and say this is unacceptable. The Pelicans have a perception. The everydays have heard me talk a lot about this this offseason. They need to change the perception around the team after backto back buttkickings. The perception is just getting reinforced in the in the wrong way here. You need to come out and do something that says like we care. We understand this isn’t okay. The the easiest thing, the simplest thing, the correct thing to do at this point is fire the head coach. Look, maybe you want to wait till you get back to New Orleans after this road trip and do it. What’s the point? Do you want to go through two more games of this? The fans don’t. I do think I have a pretty good read on the pulse of the fan base and not just like a vocal minority, right? Like I really try and see it from all aspects and I think I tend to be pretty levelheaded on the show presenting both sides and looking at it. You you can’t both sides this one anymore. You can’t go through two more games of this, right? Think about the impact on the rookies. You is this what you want the beginning of their careers to look like for Jeremiah Fears, for Dererick Queen, for Micah Peavey, and the rest of the young guys on this team? No. That stuff matters. Being in a losing situation permeates you for a long time. This is basically saying like, “It’s okay. We don’t care.” You can’t have the rookies thinking that. You can’t do that. You You see it in the attitude of the team. They look like they have quit. They look like they have quit. Gail Benson really stepped in to fire Dennis Allen once she started talking to the players, the Saints, and realizing like how much they were like, “This isn’t it.” And like really heard from them. You don’t even need to talk to the Pelicans players right now. You can see it. You can see it in their attitudes on the court. And this isn’t only on Willie Green, right? I said in a sense he’s a scapegoat here. He’s got plenty of blame here. Joe Dumar has a ton with the way that this team has been managed to start the t his tenure, but you’re not gonna fire the GM right now. You can’t trade away the players or change much of that at this point in time. This is what you do. This is how you triage the situation. You fire head coach Willie Green. It’s time. It It shouldn’t be when you get back to New Orleans. It should be we make we make the change here. Look, you even get the benefit of if you do it on the road, there’s less New Orleans media there. they’re not traveling to to ask questions. You know, you kind of get a break from it all and you can let some of this die down and by the time you come back to New Orleans, you have your interim coach and that’s the story all of a sudden. You can kind of like wait this out, weather the storm on the road, then come back and you at least have time to like plan for it. I’m not traveling with the team, right? No one really does. So, you have this opportunity to kind of do this and and get away from it for a little bit, which actually could be a good thing, but they need to make a change now. It’s time. It’s straight up time because this era is done. I don’t see how you come back from this. There’s nothing about the way the team has played so far this year that should really give you a lot of hope that like they will actually turn things around. Yesterday’s show, the everyday heard it, here’s some things they can fix that’ll really improve them. And they did none of those things, right? They didn’t figure out how to use Jordan Pool, Trey Murphy. They made a starting lineup change. Pool on the bench, Mei on the bench, starting DeAndre Jordan. Didn’t work. Didn’t work. You don’t have answers right now with the roster. So, you need to do something and you need to send the message that this is unacceptable because right now you’re reinforcing the stereo, not the stereotype, you’re just reinforcing the idea that, hey, this is okay. This is who we are. We don’t care. Do something that shows you care. That’s what the Pelicans as a franchise need to do right now. Start to change the perception. And it means 0 and4 in the way you’ve looked over these past two games isn’t okay. Denver’s good. Like a dark horse of mine. Like I think they have look at their odds to get out of the Western Conference. They’re going to be really good. I like this team. It doesn’t matter. You can’t lose that badly. Not after preaching competitiveness all off seasonason where you don’t look competitive in the past two games. You know, in the first half of this one, when Joic was on the bench, they went on a n they were plus nine when Joic was on the bench in the first half of this game in in really just the second quarter. You you got to win the minutes. The star players aren’t. The Pelgans haven’t done that with Joic, with Jaylen Brown, with Victor Wimmenyama, and with John Morant. This isn’t working. Make a change. It’s time. Send that message. Coming up next, Joe Dumar isn’t escaping blame here. I got a lot to say, a lot to say. That’s coming up here next in today’s episode of Locked On Pelicans. Don’t forget, you can watch us on the GF Coast Sports and Entertainment Network every weekday at 10:30 a.m. as well. New starting QB for the Saints, Ross Jackson of Locked On Saints, make him your second listen today. What’s Tyler Shook going to look like? Are they committing to him long term? Hopefully, yes, or at least the rest of the season. Locked on Saints, make that your second listen today. So, let’s keep talking about it’s done for New Orleans, right? We’re It’s game four of the season and it’s like, yeah, it feels done. It really, truthfully, feels like that. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say they look like the worst team in the league, that they’re the laughing stock of the league right now. You know, it’s one thing to be a laughingtock because of your play on the court. It’s another thing because of like the mismanagement that has happened here. And there has been a lot of that. And I we’re going to frame this around things that Joe Dumar has said because I think that’s important here. Let’s go by what he set as the expectations, not what like our individual expectations were. Let’s go by what Joe Dumar’s said. And so what we’re going to do in this game is not look at the third quarter because truthfully, there’s no point in looking or sorry, is not look at the fourth quarter. There’s no point of looking at that in this game because the game was over and it was garbage time before then. I’m trying to pull up the stats that they might not have updated yet. Um, let me see if I can get it another way here. So, something to look at with that with this team in this game, the blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets. Let’s go through it with what Joe Dumar said, right? You know, one thing he preached all off season, we just talked about it in the last segment, competitiveness. This team was going to be competitive. Might not win every game, but we are going to be competitive. Nope. Nope. They’re not. They weren’t competitive in this one. They weren’t competitive against Boston. They had stretches of being competitive against Memphis and the San Antonio Spurs, but again, you’re not even winning the minutes when the star players are off the court. You’re not that competitive here. This team was not competitive. You lost the third quarter 39 to11. That’s not competitive. Joe Dumar talked about depth, depth, depth, depth. That’s how we’re going to win. That’s going to be an important thing here. If you look at it through the first three quarters of this game when look Denver gave up in the fourth quarter bench players played so excuse the data here the best bench player for New Orleans was a minus13 in the first three quarters of this game minus 13. So your your depth didn’t do it your depth hasn’t done it otherwise you would win those minutes when the star players are on the bench for your opponent. So depth failure there competitiveness failure there. He doubled down on Zion Williamson, right? Said there was no mandate to trade Zion Williamson. So by him saying that, that’s him saying, “Hey, I want Zion on the team. I want Zion. I believe in Zion.” If you’re going to say there’s no mandate, I’ll take you at your word. So him saying there’s no mandate to trade Zion Williamson or anything like that or even keep him says I wanted to keep this guy. Okay. The reporting was there was a mandate to trade him. He said he wanted Zion Williamson. 11 points on four of eight shooting in 26 minutes. He had no impact on this game. Positive at all. No impact, right? That’s not good. So, you went all in on Zion and it hasn’t worked here. You haven’t won and he’s played three of the four games. Build a roster that’s a little bit better around him. Maybe. I don’t know. It didn’t work here. You know, you double down on Zion and it it hasn’t then he’s got to deliver wins. It’s as simple as that here. You know, you he talked about culture a lot. Culture. We’re going to build a great culture. Look, this team came has the past two games have come out with no energy. Just not the right type of like mentality, energy, or anything like that. Culture is supposed to fix that. That means you come to play every single night. It ties into the competitiveness. They didn’t have that. Look at the frustration on the bench. Look at the frustration from the players on the bench. Isn’t culture supposed to help with that? What what culture right now? You know, you also look at it with how do you change this team? You know, giving DeAndre Jordan, look, cool. He started, you know, a fully guaranteed deal when there was no one they were competing with for him. He was a minus 21 tonight in 12 minutes of action. That’s the guy you gave a fully guaranteed deal to. It’s not a shot at DeAndre A. Jordan, but he was at home on his couch. You didn’t need to do that. You know, you look at it with Derek Queen, the guy that’s going to kind of be the future for your team here. The guy that you traded essentially two first round picks that could be good to go and get. He played 14 and a half minutes. He had four points, eight rebounds, was a minus five at the end of things. You know, through the first three quarters, he played like six minutes. That’s the guy you gave up a ton of stuff to go and get. This is organizational mismanagement. The two timelines approach I’ve been saying that doesn’t work in the NBA. It doesn’t work in the NBA. And this is what the team is attempting. We have enough We have enough like data and examples that that doesn’t work. Derek Queen’s not going to help him win games right now. Look, I love Jeremiah Fierce. I’m as big of a Jeremiah Fierce guy. If y’all know me, you knew I was big on him going into the draft, right? If you’ve been a longtime listener, you listen this off seasonason. Thought he was great. 21 points on 10 of 15 shooting. Cool. Minus 12. it it’s not going to help you win games right now. They will look good. They will win games for you in the future, but you don’t then trade away next year’s future first round pick for this season. You know, their their approach to drafting to free agency, the guys they sign with Troy Weaver is very predictable. This and look, maybe you know, draft who you know, draft the players you’re comfortable with. There’s something to be said for that. I do believe there’s something to be said for like going and getting your guy absolutely here. But um it’s a text and um you this isn’t working right. Like at the end of the season, if they have one of the worst records in the league and you give up, even before the lottery shakes out like a top four pick to the Atlanta Hawks, Joe Dumar needs to be on the hot seat because all of the things that he had said that he had said, competitiveness, depth, the young guys, Zion, none of that’s working right now. Everything you were like, “Here’s what we’re going to do. This is my game plan to fix the Paladins.” Hasn’t worked. hasn’t worked. Joe Jumar’s fire will green right now, but he needs to be on the hot seat because there’s no reason to believe that if this is how it started that it will get better. Now, could be. We’re rooting for Joe Dumar here. No reason not to root for everybody on this team. But if you’re looking at to try and say like, “Oh, yeah. I feel good about the direction of the team that you shouldn’t. Truthfully, right now, this franchise needs to develop some awareness about where they are, who they are in the moment. And that is not something that they do. You have everyone being like, “You’re this.” And they’re like, “No, no, no. We’re this.” You know, there’s some probably some meme about this, right? And they need to have some awareness about where this team stands, who this franchise is, and really work hard to fix that. Saying you’re going to be competitive, right? Jordan Pool was like the guy they went to go and get when they traded for him. And I still don’t even hate the trade, right? CJ hasn’t exactly played well in Washington here. When you look at, you know, that and the post uh the the media availability after the Jordan Pool trade and Joe Dum is like one of the first things Troy Weaver did was come to me like you paid attention to Jordan Pool because I think he’s your kind of guy. Look, I like P. Really nice guy. Like kind of fun to have on the team. He was two for 11 tonight for nine points and he’s a minus 35. He has not played particularly well. He has not been what they wanted him to be. You got brought him in to be, you know, a scoreer to work with Trey and give you good minutes when Zion’s off the court and he has not delivered on that. That was your big offseason acquisition. That’s not it. That’s not okay here. You know, Pool’s been fine at best. Fine at best so far. And again, he can turn it around. It’s early just like Trey can. We’ll talk more about them a little bit later, but this was like this was what Joe Dumar is kind of like hanging his hat on. This is the, you know, plants the flag on the ground. This is the move that’s going to do it. It’s falling on its face. Joe Dumar needs to be on the hot seat in my opinion right now. This isn’t okay. None of this is okay based on the things that he has said. If Joe Dumar were to speak, he needs to come out and be like, “We got this wrong.” Won’t say that, but that’s got to be what they’re thinking. And I don’t trust that this franchise, this front office is like, “Oh, yeah. We we really didn’t do a good job here.” Even if you don’t admit that publicly, you’ve got to be in your meetings. And they meet every day being like, “Y’all, we messed up. How do we fix it?” And then try and fix it. But then if they say, “We screwed up.” You don’t trust them to fix it. It’s a catch 22. Coming up next, let me know what you think about Joe Demar in the comments down below. Coming up next, let’s look at the players. We’re sparing nobody. Also, I’m just going to go into it cuz we’re running out of time and I want to say a couple more things here. The players, look, Willie Green can only do so much. You can you could do all the right things and the players can still play poorly and the players have played poorly. This game was atrocious from basically everybody. Trey Murphy was one of eight for seven points on the night, seven rebounds. That’s not good enough. Trey talked a big game, wants to be an all-star this year. He has the ability to do so, but his play this season has really not lived up anywhere close to that. He needs to wake up and just do something, right? Accountability is something that gets thrown a lot. Willie Green’s not going to do it for these guys. The players need to hold themselves accountable. Like, even if you don’t fire Willie Green, there needs to be some sort of players only meeting here where they let it all out and get each other going. They need to be doing this because under Willie Green, look, you can see they’ve checked out on Willie Green. They’re not listening to him. They’re not playing for him. It’s done there. That’s one of the reasons why you’ve got to fire him. But the players do need to motivate themselves, too. They need to motivate themselves, too. You can see Jordan P’s visible frustration on the bench, and that’s fine. Look, he had a bad game. The team was losing. I’m glad that there is some frustration there, but this culture that Joe Dumar has supposedly built needs to really be doing something to help elevate each other here and you’re not. It doesn’t feel like you’re seeing that. This is on the players to do it. Whether they fire Willie Green or not, they need to come out with the right kind of competitiveness. Willie Green can’t instill that in them. That that’s an internal thing. Trey Murphy needs to be better. Jordan Pool needs to be better. They need to be getting in extra reps in practice. Jordan Pool and Trey Murphy should come together and be like, “Look, let’s get to the gym early and run through some twoman games to try and build some chemistry because those two don’t look like they’re on the same page at all.” You know, Herb Jones was atrocious, I thought, in this game. Two of seven, five points. You know, multiple turnovers that were just like bad turnovers, including stepping on the line, just throwing the ball away. You can’t have this, right? Zion Williamson’s the leader of this team supposedly. He’s talked to Big Game. Is he going to do what needs to be done to to kind of bring this team together given where they are right now? I’m concerned about all of this. This is on the players. They need to be better. It’s as simple as that. They are not living up to their skill, their potential, or anything like that right now. That’ll doom a head coach. You can come up with great scheme, but if guys are just going to keep missing shots, I don’t know. Do more reps. Like, I don’t I’m not an NBA player. I can’t tell you what to do there. They need to be the ones that get in control of their own play. That’s a lot of what this is. They need to be the ones in control of their play and not rely on a coach to motivate them or something like that. You either have it or you don’t. You’ve said you do. Now, let’s go and show it. These guys need to make there just need to be changes all around. And the players not holding up their end of the bargain too. really really hurts this. That’s what’s just been so disappointing. That’s why, you know, I kind of did the joke of it’s all dead in the in the open here, but nothing about this feels like it’s going to change right now until someone starts to do things differently and takes a different approach and makes some changes. Starting line of changes, eh, I like that they at least tried something truthfully. I’ll give them that. But deck chairs on the Titanic, right? That that cliche that saying there need to be bigger, you know, systematic changes. You need a new boat. you need to get on a different boat, build a new boat, I don’t know, something like that. I lost it. It’s late. Team just got blown out. Give me a break. Um, you know, hold me accountable, right? Um, so they need to do something differently. It starts with firing the head coach. See what that gets you and then start to evaluate from there. But everyone should be on the hot seat in my opinion after this. This is unacceptable. This era just isn’t working. It’s time to make big changes and start planning for a new one. We’ll see what they do. That’s going to do it for this episode of Locked on Pelicans. New Orleans Pelicans face organizational crisis after devastating 0-4 start, culminating in a 122-88 blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets. The third quarter collapse—outscored 39-11—signals deeper problems beyond just losing games.
Jake Madison systematically dismantles the current state of the franchise, calling for immediate accountability at every level. The analysis covers Willie Green’s coaching failures, GM Joe Dumars’ broken offseason promises about competitiveness and depth, and underperforming players including Zion Williamson, Jordan Hawkins, and Trey Murphy. Key topics include the disastrous DeAndre Jordan signing, questionable roster construction, and the looming threat of surrendering a top pick to the Atlanta Hawks.
Madison examines why the two-timeline approach isn’t working, how the team has become the laughing stock of the NBA, and what drastic measures the organization must take to salvage this season before it’s too late.
Tune in for an unfiltered assessment of where the Pelicans stand and the urgent changes needed to stop the bleeding.

Feels like they are just playing in La fitness no type of system besides have Zion force shots contested .. no type of plays ran for Trey Murphy to be number 2 and jp just chucking anything herb scared to drive against smaller guards and they never catch missi on lobs they need to try and start Karlo so he can space the floor because the center always help’s because they clog the paint 🤦🏽♂️
its not looking great… but I genuinely think that you pretty much can only be optimistic. I mean can they preform worse… No. They are not hitting shots. Zion needs to play better for sure, but every time he passes they miss the shot. Trey is not a star yet he is a amazing catch and shoot guy who is going to be forced to evolve into a more dynamic shooter and i can honestly see his potential. for good players the more difficult the matchup the more quickly you can learn to elevate your game to the next level. Herb is playing decent, honestly he is not needed to be the offensive difference maker but the better the team plays the more that is the case. misi is not a starter but can evolve to one soon. and until then they lack depth in the center. I think DeAndre Jordan is a great player for locker room presence which is actually key to your team dynamic, but shouldnt really play unless it is for small minutes for wearing down specifics players or maybe certain scenarios where certain nba experience, nba iq and poise can affect a certain play. also they havent had a lot of time to really learn each others game playing against real teams. i know that everyone had and still has higher expectations for this team but im not too worried yet. i wasnt expecting them to be a top seed and i think that if it takes them a quarter of the season to figure it out they could still make the playin. i could very well be wrong and thats ok, but i dont think this is specifically a coaching issue. you said the coaching staff always says to run back but the players dont always get back for defense. i think that this team needs to utilize the players better, mainly my take away is this. Zion cant do it alone. He hasnt had a ton to work with. I actaully think of everyone on the team i trust seddiq bey the most. look at his gameplay, he is one of the factors thats gets underappreciated and undervalued by the league, but its that kind of player that i always love the most(well i guess feel more comfortable when they are on.) the josh harts, naji marhsals(the swiss army knifes). the players that do whatever it takes and arent stars but balanced offensively and defensively and the shots they take might not go in but they are the right shots. other players you cant quite say the same. but overall i think they can bounce back and i think we as fans might be overlooking the fact that its more embarrassing for the players then it for us. they want to preform well more then we want them to. its their lives and jobs on the lines and i think if we as a city and as a team show them support through this it would be the most beneficial thing for the team, I mean what do we have to lose. go all in and bet on our having their backs meaning something to them and showing just because a bad start we still believe in this team, and maybe when it goes to 10-4 and this is just a tiny blip. we arent gods we dont know what can happen. but if we show support and trust then i think they would feel inspired and empowered to fight harder then before. Thats the fans power. dont underestimate the last and greatest player on the bench, THE FANS! Dont give up jake. BELIEVE!
Start Karlo because every time someone drives they are helped by the big man because they just clog the paint with missi nd know he won’t shoot 🤦🏽♂️ why sign him to not use him
Kings look really bad too. Sacramento radio started hyping up the 2026 tankathon for Cameron Boozer… and they LOVE Coach Christie. He tells everyone losing games is 100% his fault.
Jesus Christ dude it’s game 4
Jake, I don't know how you do this mate. It's beyond bad this season, ESPN we're right…I hate this so much!! 😡🇬🇧
Ms. Gayle, god bless her (despite her moves to support the Archdiocese in its defense of pedfophilia), is doing the same to the Pelicans that she's done to the Saints. Run Loomis, Dumars, and everyone else.
After the triple whammy of LSU, the Saints, and now the Pelicans, I'm losing the ability to care, going numb. The problems are obvious, no need to rehash them here. Jake did a great job. No fan should darken the doors of SKC until the Pelicans prove they care enough to start making changes to turn this around.
Between Saints, LSU, and Pels😆 I just can’t. Ya gotta pick your poisons sometimes and I’m gonna beat this Stockholm syndrome up eventually 😂
I’m so happy for Valancunous ….10 points and 6 rebounds in 14 minutes…..Zion didn’t have 1 rebound…..fire Willie PLEASE….and build around Fears….u GOTTA go Queen Zion at 3 and 4 Fears at 1 Trey at 2 Missi at 5 ….gotta play QUEEN let him learn getting his ass bussed it’s ok……..we had 4 HARD games to start….but WILLIE IS CLUELESS…..make herb ya six man dam a blind man can fix this…..go young WILLIE…. MISSI FEARS QUEEN zion Trey ….
This guy said Poole benched because he played bad in previous games. Something wrong with him. Jordan Poole only played bad this game because this stupid coach benched him for no reason. He actually is the team second-best scorer, having 20ppg before this game. Your favorite rookie played terrible last game 1-11 but started? Trey and Herb played worse than Poole previous games but started? Your logic does not make sense!
Ugh 😢
Now let’s calm down …..we just gotta beat the bums…we lost to 4 REALLY GOOD TEAMS…..Fears, Trey, Zion, Queen, Missi
If this loss wasn't proof Willie needs to go then I don't know what will 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️💯
Gayle needs to wake up!
Love this guy.❤ Zion era has to end.
Dumbest organization with the least motivated, most overpaid players in the history of professional sports. They’re tanking for the Atlanta Hawks.
This was probably your worst episode Jake. It should have been all about firing WG and nothing else (perhaps just a bit about the players).
To blame Joe Dumars already now is simply ridiculous and it also contradicts to what you have been saying before. Yes, his hiring was lazy, yes, he did that trade for Queen, but it doesn't matter what kind of roster he will build when he inherited WG (and probably was not allowed to lay him off). Not to mention that he got a roster without a proper PG and a center and he drafted both and brought some championship experience in Poole and Looney. Bay is also a great addition, while getting rid of CJ at the same time (who would have had close to zero value in February).
He should be hold accountable only if he keep WG as a coach after the 0:4,5,6…whatever start. Let's hope he will take actions already today.
Alot of these players are just collecting paychecks
how the F fears got more points than Zion and trey combined?
And what the fak is that take on the players?!?
They should hold them accountable and motivates themselves even if WG is not fired? Why on earth they will do that if all of them want him gone?
Have you ever worked for a manager who is so clueless as Willie and still giving extra effort?
They were competitive for two and half games but we lost them because of his coaching "skills". Cause what does he coach them for years: "First and foremost thank GOD!"
For years the media is not pushing this guy with proper questions and not putting him under pressure, because he is a nice guy.
In football (the real one, not the one played with hands) media and fans would have crucified him already in 23/24 for not avoiding the play-in and being swept by OKC. However in US, local media will bent down and say nothing, national media will laugh at the orginization but will not mention the coach as "noone wants to see a coach fired", especially an afro-american, and fans will protest only on online forums but not in the games (except for Dallas fans).
Change of coach could do wonders
Realistically the west is competitive and this team needs to keep up with wins in this first 20 games or season over at this rate so changes NEED to be made
Zion, yes! Era is done!
But Dumars?
After 4 games?
I suppose you felt the same about David Griffin?
No, this isn't a good look at all, but Willie Green and the entire coaching staff has been/will be the "pelican in the room" as far as I'm concerned.
3rd quarter collapse is the coaching staff's hallmark, with inappropriate subs, game plan, etc…EVEN BEFORE DUMARS!
Yet, with full chest, you call for Dumars' departure?
Curb your (lack of) enthusiasm and allow things to play out.

What's going on with Trey not shooting the 3 , driving to the basketball for a mid range. Wtf , trying to turn him into BI is crazy. Lastly they checked on Willie 2 seasons ago.
Dumars and Willie both need to go. In terms of what's on the court, the main issue is that the offense did not flow through Zion enough. He needs a LOT more touches and certainly more than 8 shots a game. TM3 and Herb have always both been best playing off of Zion. Fears did well for a rookie but he's not good enough to be the point of attack. Also, where are the big men? Dumars asked Zion to lose weight and now he's actually skinny, there's not enough size in the paint.
Willie haz been terrible in the 3rd in a while
I saw the moves over the summer and told everyone this team is going to be bad. Dumars and Weaver didn’t understand the western conference and what our roster actually was. I really don’t trust them to fix this. This team is worse than last season
Your jumping on joe dumars in 4 games bro knowing this isnt his coach . U need to be on the hot seat bro
This not on Joe but Green must go 🤦🏾♂️
Why is Herb out there shooting 3's ? All he should be doing is defense and rebounding . BI chilling and smiling in Toronto
Chump says fire Joe… Bro, you didn't like the hire, we get it. But, Joe should've fired Willie. Green means go!!! Get rid of him, ASAP!
I tried to explain to you guys that Weaver is the world's dumbest man, and that he has already ruined one franchise prior to this.
There is no hope and there never will be with that pathetic and humiliated moron involved, and it absolutely does not matter who the coach is when the front office is this incompetent.
Signed,
Pistons fans
I cannot imagine having to follow this team. I look to sports as an escape. Watching this team is like being imprisoned.
You think Zion, Trey, or Herb could get our pick back from the Hawks? Would suck to lose Trey or Herb especially but if this team is bottoming out (sure looks like it is) they need that pick more than anything else no matter how bad of a look it is.
