Jalen Brunson, Mike Brown, and Karl-Anthony Towns on Knicks loss to the Bucks
Beautiful, beautiful first half
of basketball offensively defensively. We were solid in the first half, but in basketball was great. The first
half and it started with the captain it started with CAD soon as he drew a second guy,
boom, he got off of it. That guy either shot it or stab drove her passing with a
lot of quick decisions in the first half. Touch the paint
a lot spray the ball a lot. We had 15 sprays in the first
half. Just offensively was great. We had the bomb. It was okay. Let me see what I
can do. We didn’t get the ball reverse
because we held on to it quite a bit. Those things happen. Basketball guys are going to
tell you something. They’re going to get you
frustrated. The other teams going to set
their defense though. The team’s going to get
out and run off your mrs. And there’s not going to be any
energy within your group because everybody is standing
and watching staying in and watching standing the watch. So, now, what we have to try to
do, we have to try to figure out how
we can play within our state’s on both ends of the
floor. Offensively and defensively for 48 minutes. If we do. A chance to be really good team. And we don’t we get beat by, anybody got to
give me walk, you a lot of credit. I’m not taking anything
away from Doc Rivers and yanis in the rest of the group in that locker room,
they won the game. But in order to be great, you gotta understand how to do
it for 48 minutes. And tonight, we didn’t. So, we have to figure out when things are going good. How do we? No matter how many shots, assist points whatever, no matter what
any of that is? We have to figure out how to
keep bringing the right energy to the group. It’s always about our Spain but it’s always about our staff. And our standard is sacrifice. Oh care. What my numbers are in
any particular category. Stay connected. I don’t care. What’s going on
out on the floor. We’re going to stay here because we need to
hit adversity. And we got to see if we’re Tough
Enough. Mentally to stay connected through keep that competitive Spirit.
You have 15, your 12 Europe, whatever it is at halftime. Come out with the same
competitive spirit that you started the game, believe in the process, more importantly, in each other, no matter what I have going individually tonight, imma keep believing in the
process and my teammates. And if none of those things are
happening or three of those things are
happy, or two of those things are happening. It’s my job to make sure we hold
everybody accountable. Because we all need to be held
accountable start with me but that’s what our standard is. But
I thought the second half we didn’t live up to our
standard. What do you think? What do you think? I mean,
obviously he played so well, first half as you’re talking about. Why do you think you guys didn’t
uphold the standard coming out of the locker room
and into the third quarter. We’re still trying to find a way
a little bit and maybe we need to get hit in the mouth. Lee respected understanding first laughing I give them
credit and then yeah we had it tied but I mean
if you weren’t playing style that’s what you should’ve been
playing the second half because it close enough to the 6-minute mark and then we were playing tripped up on us and then I got
out of hand. Why didn’t you guys I guess switch the way you guys are
playing a little bit myself included and Just taking the field in the
gas, keep playing the right away and yeah we can’t lose our
aggressiveness in the way we were playing. Every really cool without
they’re very just making plays for each other and meet a lot of
great shots and everything is real stuff. And so
I kind of took it pretty hard to spill what happened to mad at you. I’m
all good within a slip. All good. His teammate DVD talk to him, or
is he a veteran and just let him do his thing and figure
your mouth. I talked to him, we talked and it’s a process for all of us. There will be times when things aren’t going one of our
ways and then it’s almost as teammates to have his back and, but at some point all of us go
through a Lowell, this isn’t like, I’m going to
call it a wall. It’s just like, we’re still learning and
everything’s brand new. New for us and we’re not going to use that
excuse for the little a long time. But I mean these
first couple weeks, I mean it’s still fresh for us but no matter what now we know we
got to go out there and do and I really took the best of our
abilities like praising the way. In the first half and you’re right. It is on us to
make sure that he’s a reverend eating everyone’s feeding off
each other and I didn’t do a good job of that.
And part of the reason why we lost
or so, Obviously just be better leave
in be better at that part of my game and we came up with was to kill. You
said he felt that was complacency in
the second half is it as simple as kind of
reverting to Old Habits because you have this
new offense you’re all trying to get used to or I guess
what can you say a little bit more about that? No, I think obviously, when the balls going
in the way it was in the first half it’s easy to say aye. Right,
this, this job doesn’t matter. Let me try and get mine and everyone doesn’t everyone does
it? I do it but I think for us as a team we
have to limit that as best we can and bit of hold each other
accountable as best we can and you can’t let them lead dwindled
down the to be even, you know, we see
that happening. We got to stop right away and get back to who we are. But,
um, It’s just it’s just habits and be like a brother that she
felt like in the second half. You guys
defensively lost some of their
Shooters offensive leading into defense
or whether just some kind of miscues there unfortunately. Yeah I think
often stuck definitely dictated. We were playing
defensively and maybe just we lost track of them
and they came out with the urgency
in the second half and we have to continue to put a foot on the
gas and make sure there’s a happen. So I knew But is there any chance you will not be available in the next
game? Where you guys have a good day? Tied with we got away from your nose, you
just stay hit shots and we didn’t, you know, I got to be letter, got to be continued to work, the work in and the next one. Baroness talked about how
because of you and the positions that you have to
Play and Learn like you probably have the steepest learning curve
or the toughest job. Has it been a tough adjustment? Me, just and first half of play, you needed me to play and I felt switched up and I tried
to get a get going just in case we needed me and I just did
Chart. So, oppressed a little bit too much
today, I have more experience than to do that but I just didn’t do what we needed to do
to win tonight, and that’s what the song is not, take full
responsibility on that accountability. Something they
can just love from there. Always will do that. There’s a tough to accept all
that. I mean, you’re obviously all NBA
All-Star to say, all right, my best role In
This Moment is only to take one difficult, a first-half just,
you know, I just got and embrace it and I
didn’t do that for 48 minutes tonight and it hurts, you know, it’s gonna
be a tough car. Ride is today’s live with that, but I’ve had tough days before, just
mark this up into the same category, but skating for, I know, everyone’s
gonna be stressing me or have we talked, you know, New York
everything, but it’s going for, we just gotta,
you know, To learn. I got to learn and I gotta be better. I just
got you better collectively as a team. It was the biggest adjustment to
what my crotch trying to implement on the offensive end. I’m just, you know, more more Pace, you know, more pace
and just different offense. It’s just different. It’s
different system than we all have recently basketball. So, we’re all finding our spots, you
know, and then find where we could be the
most effective in this system. You know, I was going for on top of that, you know, we got guys, you know, listening
and playing with people that we work
the system out with other people in line up and we’re not there right now. So we all Learners, I’m learning
and I love him as I’m learning, something new and teach Old
Dogs, new tricks, and I’m learning some new tricks, huh?
New York Knicks Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns explain how they are adjusting to the offense Mike Brown has implemented and what they need to improve on after their loss to the Bucks. Plus, coach Mike Brown reacts to the game, saying the team’s stagnancy on offense hurt their defense.

Giannis was on fire, haven't seen him play this well against us in a long time. I wouldn't worry yet, its a new coach and a new system.
Muffled sound went 3-3 from the field
Coming out of the half has been a struggle here for years. That's on coaching.
More minutes for JC. If not, then it's still the old Knicks.
KAT gotta GO, we got rid of inconsistent Randle for inconsistent ZEST???
The Knicks are not a good team at all. They're a collective with a few good individual players. But overall, a low IQ collective, at that. These guys ain't got it.
This team is a bust. All that preseason hype for nothing.
Knicks waiting for Mitch to return before Kat sits cause of HIS injury
If he says spray one more time I’m going to lose it
coach You almost cost us the season by leaving Brunson in after that sequence when he hurt his hamstring, you should've pulled him.
KAT has low basketball IQ that's always been his biggest problem.
Example committing dumb fouls
that are very avoidable GO Bucks we in the house this season. Are downfall was greatly exaggerated. We retooled in one offseason
This isn't on Jalen. Kat plays like he's lost.
Get KAT outta there & rest his quad strain! The man's not healthy & not aggressive. Where the hell is the passion! I see no mamba face. Smh.
respect KAT
Make more plays to get the big guy involved in the paint
come on guys next game Let´s go Knicks!!
Trade KAT for Giannis he doesn’t look happy playing under Mike Brown.
KAT and Brunson are cones out there Brunson scored 36, but gave up 25 pts to Rollins…
I am a Knick fan for 6 decades. This is not a championship team. Bench players aren't good enough and they already traded 🙄 some good bench players like Grimes & Toppin, whom I would rather have then Clarkson & the heavy guy.
Towns stinks 8 points you f..king kidding a superstar
If KAT is hurt, rest him. He's not doing anyone any good out there. It's just prolonging his healing period. It will also give Hukporti time to get his groove on. But you can't have somebody out there playing 30% because they are hurt.
Hes talking about Kat… dude went straight 🐈 mode
I need to be totally honest because I’ve been a diehard fan for too long and the results yeah after year is draining so understand these new young nudes coming into the league got all the talent. The 16 is a great team, but we don’t have enough power enough fight enough heartI don’t see no doll trying to fight out there.
I think we gotta fire this coach, he obviously doesn't know this team & how their best used, he doesn't know what the hell he's doing!
He ought to be coaching g-league players, he's a clown!
I want coach Thibs back!
Forget this dude!
Why the hell isn't Mitch playing?
KAT is the worst center on defense in NY Knicks history, we've never had a center allow players to score at will whenever they want!
We gotta trade KAT now before it's too late!
Mike Brown is crazy not letting Jordan Clarkson finish the 2nd quarter. Guy is trying to get his confidence back and let Jalen brunson rest. Ur main guy jalen brunson if u put all the offense in him u will end up in the 8th seed. The bench is ur strength use it! Let kolek and JC play for the 2nd Unit
