The Phillies NOT finding room for Justin Crawford was a HUGE problem last season
Now, obviously, pitching was not necessarily a need for the Phillies, but that does not mean you couldn’t have called up other young players that could have provided a spark for your team, like, I don’t know, Justin Crawford, who Dave Dumbrossski has said over and over and over again, he’s big league ready. There’s just not a place to play him really. And yet, Max Kepler is going to be gone after this season. Nick Cassianis is going to be gone after this season. Who knows about Brandon Marsh? He could be a trade piece. Who knows if Harrison Bader comes back? We don’t know. So, the player that they believe is major league ready, that’s a big part of their future moving forward, they had no place to play him, which is kind of disappointing to
