Who will be the Yankees lead-off hitter in 2026?

Just wanted to talk, that’s all. All right, welcome back everybody and welcome back to my main man here, Frankie Baseball. As we wait for the World Series to wrap up, the hot stove season is about to begin. And we decided that tonight we are going to take a look at a pressing need for the New York Yankees. A regular consistent leadoff man to hit in front of Aaron Judge and the Big Boppers. This year began with Austin Wells in the leadoff spot. That didn’t last very long. Trent Gisham ultimately became a leadoff hitter most of the time. We’ll talk about him in a bit. He’s a free agent. Paul Golman got some reps in the leadoff spot, but he’s most likely not coming back. In fact, I would bet my house on it. And in 2024, Anthony Vulpi began his season as a fantastic leadoff hitter for the first few months. Yankees didn’t even try him there this year because he was so abysmal and he had shoulder surgery. So, he’s probably not an option. Uh, we do have the potential of a few other guys. is, you know, Steven Quan has been mentioned. Bo Bett has been mentioned, Jason Dominguez struggled against right against lefties, but he has been mentioned. So, today we’re going to focus on the remaining options for the leadoff spot. Uh, Frankie, before we get into that, I want to ask you, is the leadoff hitter for the Yankees on opening day in the organization at present? I am going to say yes because I I don’t have the highest faith that the Yankees are going to get that U leadoff hitter from somewhere else. They’ll make some additions, but I I think we have the lead off hitter is somewhere on this team right now. All right. So, I will make my prediction in just a little bit when we get to the DraftK segment. And I’m going to ask you at the same time to make your prediction since you think that the guy is already in the system. But we’re going to start with somebody who is in the system, Mr. Jason Dominguez, the Martian. And we’re just going to kind of talk about the pros and cons for all of these guys. And and we’re going to start with Jason because he is a patient hitter. I I saw a lot of times this year, and we’ve seen it really, quite frankly, since he’s come up to the major leagues, that he will take close pitches, especially from the left side. We actually saw it a little bit from the right side early on, and then it it kind of got worse as he began to struggle. He’s got tons of speed, so if he gets on base, he’s an absolute threat. out there, but he really really stinks against left-handed pitching. And, you know, maybe he’ll play some winter ball and make some improvements. He does have occasional pop. He had a three homer game, but he only hit what, 10 home runs this year. And I think a lot of Yankees fans are not sold on him being at the top of the lineup, especially against lefties. So, before we dive too deep into the entire list of candidates, I want to get your thoughts on Jason Dominguez, the rookie, what you liked from him, what you didn’t like, how you feel about maybe him taking over in the leadoff spot. Do you think he can improve against lefties? What are your thoughts on the Marson? I want to like him. Uh, ever a Yankee fan? I mean, you especially, you were the you were the leader of the Jason Dominguez fan club. Uh, it was it’s been a disappointing first season from him. And I I know I don’t know if you spend a lot of time on um on what is now known as X on Twitter, but uh whenever Yankee fans post about, oh this is going to be Jason Dominguez’s year, there’ll be all these replies about you say that every year. It’s like five, six, seven years now. Even it does kind of feel like that. It feels like we have been waiting for this breakout moment for Dominguez. We all thought it was going to be last year and then it ended up being um a disappointment there. I I think next year it’s now or never, right? like the 2026 if he doesn’t if he doesn’t break out this year then I he’s just going to be um he he’s going to be who he is. I mean we we I saw that I guess for for Bulby the same thing. So I’m going to choose to believe I’m going to choose to believe now you’re asking the Yankees to develop somebody here um as a hitter and he’s the Yankees have had their troubles with developing a lot of hitters and but look we saw what this guy could do in just a brief period in 2023. We know about the the capabilities he had. Yes, he has troubles, you know, at hitting some problems especially on the outfield, but this is not about that. But, um, I’m going to believe I’m going to choose to believe that this man that the Martian that this out of this utter worldly creature is going to have this is going to be his breakout year. I want to believe that if if I can’t believe that, what then what am I am I supposed to believe for the Yankees in 2026? So, I think that this is going to be the I’m not saying he’s going to be an MVP candidate, but I could see next year him hitting 20 home runs. So, I don’t know about 20 home runs, but uh so I think it’s it’s fitting that you said you want to believe, right? That’s the Fox Moulder sign on on, you know, UFOs and aliens or whatever. I want to believe, too. I’ve been a believer in Dominguez. I still think he’s got a slow heartbeat and, you know, he lost some time in the minor leagues. He’s had some injuries. He’s still just 22. I think that you’re right that he needs to take a major step forward this year, but I don’t necessarily think that if if he doesn’t, he’s never going to be a great player or even a good player. I think there’s a strong possibility that if he doesn’t get off to a good start, he becomes a role player, right? and he becomes basically the outfield version of, you know, like an Oswaldo Cabrera, you know, somebody who the fans like and is a likable guy and has some value from time to time, but really only hits against right-handed pitching. And, you know, defensively, he he can be scary from time to time. But you see from the metrics, the walk percentage is in the basically the top third of the league. The bat speed is in the top 20% of the league. The hard hit percentage is in the top 15% of the league. The average exit velocity climbed pretty well after a slow start. It’s in the, you know, top 40%. And then the base running value is in the top 20%. But really, the fielding value is bad. You wonder if that’s going to improve at all. It’s it’s not easy to become a good major league defender. We see lots of guys struggle with it. You know, part of that’s instinct, right? His range, if we go down to to fielding, is really what holds him back. He’s got very little range, which is hard to believe because he’s got such good speed, which tells you that it’s the routes, right? It’s it’s the routes and and reading the ball off the bat. Now, maybe that’s something that can get better with reps. But unless he becomes a consistent defender, I can’t see them playing him every day, which kind of eliminates him as the leadoff hitter. So, let’s move on to somebody else who’s been getting a lot of attention, and that is somebody that I really, really, really like as a player, and that is Steven Quan. And I’ll tell you why I like him. He is not only a fantastic defender, he is insanely difficult to strike out. And this team strikes out a ton. Now, there’s a couple of things that are going against Quan. One, he would be somebody you have to trade for. Now, you might say, well, he only had a 96 OPS plus, so maybe his trade value isn’t super high. He’s only a 704 OPS. But I would make the case that not every player on the team needs to be a well above average hitter, right? If you have too many guys that are exactly the same, they don’t complement each other, right? You need somebody who doesn’t strike out even if they’re not a great power hitter. They don’t hit a lot of doubles. Like, he can steal bases. He can get on base. You know, 3 uh 30 on base percentage isn’t amazing, but a lot of hits, a lot of balls in play, 170 hits. I know a lot of people think that um he would be a great fit. I think the price for him might be higher than his actual value, but it also might be worth making because I think he’s a nice complimentary player to this lineup full of sluggers. What are your thoughts on Steven Quan? I’m just looking at uh for those who are listening the graphic that says on screen, only 60 strikeouts in 2025. Nice. That that that is rem that is remarkable to me. It’s astonishing. It’s it’s absolutely man a Yankee that would do that it just doesn’t seem possible. But I would I I would adore having this man on the team. But as you mentioned, uh yeah, he just seems like he’s an impossible guy to get out. Um I was also trying to think you mentioned, you know, lead off hitters. Like when was the last great leadoff hitter we had? It was DJ, right? Like the last great I mean when when DJ was at his his peak and winning the batting title. Yeah. It was DJ. Yes. So he would be our our by far our best lead off guy since then. But the question is how you going to get him? What are they gonna What is Cleveland going to offer? What is Cleveland going to want? Um it it just doesn’t seem like there’s there are a few guys that I’m worried about getting like if they asked for Ben Rice, I’m gonna have to say no. No. Like what do you think is a reasonable trade here? Well, I just a quick question. Again, I would take him in a heartbeat, but again, I also don’t know what the trade package duty. What do you think is a reasonable trade for him? It’s hard to say because his OPS is low, so I can’t imagine there’s a ton of teams that are like dying to add him, but I’m sure there’s plenty of teams that strike out way too much and want somebody who makes contact. and his defense is phenomenal. I mean, let’s take a look at his metrics and try and figure out what a what a price would be for somebody with this kind of defense, this kind of ability to put the ball in play. And I mean, look at his spray chart. This is a guy who hits the ball to all fields, lineto line. You know, he’s just as likely to hit a line drive over the shortstop as he is to hit a a shot into the right field gap. Now, he doesn’t have a ton of power. He’s not going to drive the ball out of the ballpark, especially to center field or left field. But at Yankee Stadium, he might pick up a couple of more home runs. You know, he might go from, you know, 11 home runs this year to maybe 15 or 16. I can see him having a careerhigh, but again, we don’t want him necessarily to do that if we’re trading for him to be in the leadoff spot. I want him to be that guy that gets on base and and and gets base hits. And look at his bat speed. It’s in the first percentile, which is bad. It’s it’s he’s a guy who cuts down on, you know, that whip-like action of the bat to try and put the bow in play. So, if we’re talking about a potential trade, and and I I’m not good at this. I’ll admit I am not a good trade calculator. Sometimes I overestimate, sometimes I underestimate. So, I’m sure we’ll get feedback in the comments on this, but I think he’s going to cost you a really good pitching prospect, a Chase Hampton, maybe even a Will Warren. I think he’s going to cost you that type of of arm and maybe even, you know, a lower end, you know, like a double A prospect, you know, uh maybe a Roderric area. So, somebody who has like a high upside but really hasn’t done it, you know, hasn’t put it together yet. And he he’s not going to cost George L. Yeah. He’s not going to cost George Lombard, you know. And if you do get him, then that basically means that Dominguez is out of a job because you’re never going to play Dominguez over Steven Quan in left field. What do you do with Dominguez? Does that mean Dominguez becomes a potential trade candidate? Now, people have asked me, would you trade Jason Dominguez if the Yankees were able to get Steven Quan? And the answer is if it was straight up, absolutely not. I wouldn’t make that deal because I think Dominguez is going to be worth more than Quan in terms of war eventually. Now, I think he’s gonna, you know, I think he’s going to hit for more power. I think he’s going to maybe even steal more bases. But the fact that um you could get a complimentary piece like this that could really help out your team, it allows you to move Dominguez for another piece, whether it’s like a a lights out reliever or as part of a package to get somebody like uh you know, a scubble maybe, you know, or or a skins. I mean, obviously it would cost a lot more than Dominguez, but it would it would it would it would clean out the farm, but you would have to include a young, controllable major league caliber player. The the thing I I I think about this is that Kman doesn’t necessarily like this type of player. He likes the the big hairy monsters. He said it on numerous occasions. So, I can’t see him going that way. But I do want to give you a guy that I think he might go for. And I think that Hal Steinbrer might go for the the question is in this case, would this player go for it? Because he can probably get the same money from his current team, which by the way is in the World Series, and that is Bo Bashette. Now, Bo Bashette is somebody that I would absolutely love as a Yankee. Uh he can play shortstop. Um, he’s not a fantastic defender, but he’s, you know, good enough, you know, and and quite frankly, Vulpi has been a bust. Let’s just be honest. Let’s just rip the band-aid off. Let’s just say it and and stop and and and stop pussyfooting around right here. Anthony Vulpi is a bust. He’s a bust. Um, so 311 average for Bo Bashette. Um, he’s a power threat. He’s an RBI threat. This is a guy who drove in what o over 90 runs this year. Uh and let’s take a look at the metrics here. Again, power, speed, metrically, he’s across the board really good except for the fielding and the base running. So, he’s going to be 28 years old. We’ve seen Juan Sodto at at age 27 improve his base running dramatically with the Mets. I mean, maybe the Yankees can take a similar course with Bo Bashette. Doesn’t help that he has a serious knee injury that he’s playing through right now. He’s definitely back early. You can tell that he’s not 100%, but he can still hit. And I like that he swings hard but still makes contact with two strikes. Like he’s a guy who will burn you. We’ve seen him drive the ball to right field and beat the Yankees with power the other way. He’s got power to off fields and again hits the ball lineto line. I like him as a player, but I think that if Toronto offers him a decent contract, like why not go back to Toronto? just got to the World Series. They might win it, right? If especially if they win it. If they beat the Dodgers, of course, he’s going to want to resign and come back. One, he’s going to want to get his ring with the team. You know what I mean? If it’s a decent contract, he’s going to want to try and repeat. Like, if you’re already on top of the mountain, why why go down a notch to the team that you just beat? The Yankees would have to blow him away with money. And I don’t think that they’ll necessarily be willing to do that. Let me get your thoughts on Bo Bashette. Love watching him. He’s been great for the Blue Jays all year and in this World Series, it’s a shame that he’s not 100%. But he’s still batting what 364. Um maybe one of the reasons why the Blue Jays lost game three is they took out a bunch of their guys. Uh they pinched random including Bash was one of them. They they pinched random for a couple guys or for someone I think it was IKF and um and one of the reasons why they couldn’t get couldn’t win that game is because they couldn’t score because they took out the the better bat in their lineup. But he I’m not even like yes, he’s a great great on offense. uh as you mentioned only 27 um can play shorts stop not you know not he’s not a great defender but so anyone’s other than Vulpi I’ll take but I I I’m not even thinking about it at this point tell us what you really think about Vulpi there I I do you think Vulpy’s dad still watches or what do you think he last watched I think I think he quit when I said that Anthony Vulpi should be launched into Saturn um you know strap him to an acne rocket and send him to Saturn I think that was the end of of of his father watching the show personally yeah Well, you know, all good things come to an end. Um, but I I I I don’t even think about I think it’s either going to be Vulpi or Cabayro as the shorts stop next year. So, I’m not even imagining I’d love to have him, but yeah, I don’t I don’t see and I agree. If they even if they don’t win the World Series, he’s going to want to go back. Toronto has a much better chance, I feel like, of getting back to the World Series next year than the Yankees do. So, yeah, I think he I think he stays with Toronto no matter what. Agree. Uh, and and he could be the guy that swings the pendulum towards one team or another. I mean, if he goes back to the Yankees, maybe they become the favorites. But if he goes back to Toronto, I mean, you have to consider that Toronto the favorites. I mean, they just clean the Yankees clock. They won 94 games, more games than anybody in the league. Of course, injuries and things like that can affect, you know, outcomes, but they’re going to be they’re going to be good for a while, man. And they’ve got that confidence to play as a team now. Go ahead. I I I have um I don’t know this might be later for our DraftKing segment here, but speaking about the Yankees and Blue Jays, did you know that the Yankees have the best odds in the American League right now to go to the World Series next year? And I would love to know why what the people in Vegas see that I don’t cuz there’s not one Yankee fan that would tell you the Yankees have the best odds in the American League and that they’re they’re right behind the Dodgers. No Yankee fan would tell you they’re the second best team in baseball heading into next season. I would love an explanation. It’s basically I think it’s based on who people bet on, not necessarily like who’s the best baseball team, right? I mean, Yankees are people really going to bet on the Yankees. Well, I think a lot of people expect the Yankees to spend big in the winter and we know as Yankees fans that they’re probably not going to. I mean, I just and I’m not sure that the pieces are necessarily out there that they want to spend on. If the pieces were out there, like if there was a shortstop who was A-Rod in his prime as a shortstop when he was a free agent. Yeah, I’m not sure if you remember that was a bit before your time, but when A-Rod was a free agent, he was about, I’d say 24 years old, maybe. He came up at 18, so he was about 23, 24 years old. He met with the Mets uh before signing with the Rangers. And there was this talk, oh, I want a plane, I want a suite, I want all this, you know, you wanted all this nonsense. I think if he would like if there was that caliber of shortstop available right now that was a free agent, the Yankees would give them all the money. All the money in the world. But that person’s just not out there. And if George was alive, that would definitely happen. Yes. Yes. Um, so Louie Penfield says, “Long time. Always missing your live shows. Very busy here, but I’m always listening. Appreciate it, Louie. We miss having you.” Let’s talk about Trent Gisham. Uh, 235 average, 34 home runs. His metrics were improving, especially the chase rate. Uh, he was not a great leadoff hitter, but he did hit a lot of leadoff home runs. He was a threat in the first inning, which I think the Yankees consider important. He is a free agent, but if the Yankees offer him a qualifying offer, I could see him taking it. I mean, that’s like a 400% raise and then if you have another good year, you get a bigger contract. His his agent might advise him, hey, go back to the Yankees where you’ve, you know, you can play now. And if he turns it down, the Yankees only get a fourth round draft pick. So, they might they might decide not to do it. But I think it’s worth offering him the qualifying offer uh and just seeing what happens. And if he takes it, hey, you you at least you run him back out there in center field. Maybe you still sign Bellinger, play him at first, and basically run everything back. Put Dominguez out there and left as your everyday guy. But what are your thoughts on Trent Gisham? I didn’t love him in the leadoff spot, but I did like that he he provided occasional pop. And yes, he vanished in the postseason, and he’s a better defender than I think he showed this year. Let’s pull up his metrics. Yeah, I uh I like Trent Christian for most of the season. Uh yeah, you know, some of the batting average uh alarm gene, but you know what? You hit 34 home runs. You’re obviously doing something right. Um, but I don’t know what happened there in the Was it just I was listening to Trevor May uh who works here on Foul Territory do a show and he was talking about one of the reasons for Judg’s uh lack of postseason success maybe has something to do with the fact that in the postseason you’re you’re going up against better pitchers and those better pitchers tend to uh you know be able to locate the ball better and they’re able to get to struggle more. Do you think that’s what happened with Gisham here? Do you think that I think the Red Sox just Yeah, he beat up he beat up on the chumps. You know what I mean? Uh, but when you face him, when you face really good pitching in the playoffs, he just wasn’t as good. But the metrics are good. I mean, the XWO was fantastic. The exit of Elite Vo was good. The barrel percentage, I mean, he was really, really good this year. You know, I know he didn’t hit for a high average, but he hit 40 what 45 points higher than last year. His on base percentage was almost 350. He had an OPS over 800. I mean, I think people are forgetting because of the postseason how good he was during the year. And he had a lot of big hits. It’s like he had a lot of really really big hits this year. So, uh it remains to be seen if they’ll bring him back. But there’s one more guy I want to talk about before we make our prediction and that is Nicoer who I think is Chuck Knoblock 2.0. I mean this is a pest 6.1 war this year 28 years old. The problem is he would cost an enormous amount to trade for. He’s he’s not going to be a free agent till 2028. Um I believe no actually he might have he might have one more year. I might be wrong on that. The chat can correct me on that but he’s definitely going to require u a massive massive trade to get him from the Cubs. 28 years old. No. So it is his contract year. Okay. Contract year. 369 average versus left-handed pitcher. Two versus left-handed pitchers. 275 versus right-handed pitchers. So decent splits. 29 stolen bases. He can play short stop. So if you need him to play shorts stop, he can play short and jazz at second. That’s a pretty damn good combination. This is one of those guys that makes a lot of baseball sense. And like when we talk about unloading the farm, right? Like who would who would you be willing to trade a top flight prospect for? you know, a uh you know, a Chase Hampton or like a big time prospect, a Ben Hess, a you know, a Cunningham, you know, maybe even like a uh I don’t know if I would go with Lombard, but maybe maybe if it if it was straight up Lombard for her, I’d have a tough time saying no to that. Frankie, yeah, I’m with you there. Um I mean, he’s extremely talented, kind of under the radar season. I feel like uh you know he wasn’t one of those names that was you know popping off uh for you know that like baseball shows are really talking about that much but he had a really good season there for Chicago. A lot of guys did obviously led him to their postseason appearance. Um yeah this is another one where I don’t think it it would make great sense for us to get him but this is another one where again requires a trade. I think he loves it in Chicago. They love him. I see it very difficult for um for them to to bring him over here. We’d love to There’s so many options that I feel like the Yankees so many because the Yankees obviously what we’re doing now is not working. We need to change some things up, but the question is what’s what’s just a realistic option out there. This doesn’t seem like it uh to me, but you know, maybe Cashman can work something out here. Um but yeah, there there’s going to be some changes that gonna be need to be made. It would be a massive price, but I think the price would be worth it like in what he gives you. Oh, yeah. There are two questions here. What you would do if you were the Yankees and what the Yankees will do. And and those are very you’re going to get very different answers there. Yeah. Uh Brian Bashman says that the Yankee system is underrated. I agree. You know, they got a lot of guys that come up from out of nowhere. I mean, Cam Schlitler this year, but in terms of position players, they they haven’t really done that too often. All right, so let’s go ahead and get to the prediction segment and this portion of the show brought to you by DraftKings Sportsbook. Use code foul, bet $5, get $300 in bonus bets if the bet wins only on DraftKings. The crown is yours. And my prediction is that they bring back Cody Bellinger and they just put him in the leadoff spot. And the reason that I I think Bellinger makes a lot of sense is his splits aren’t that bad. He doesn’t strike out a ton. He adjusts with two strikes. He’s not a complete mystery against lefties. like he hit a couple big hits against Araldis Chapman who’s about as tough a left-handed pitcher against lefties as possible. You know, I think it makes a lot of sense to just bring back Cody Bellinger, play him in center field, and hit him lead off at least this year. And maybe eventually you develop another you you got to develop somebody eventually. Maybe it’s Dax Kilby, maybe it’s, you know, uh George Lombard if he starts hitting better. I don’t know. But for now, I think you can run Bellinger out there and it wouldn’t be that big a deal. And obviously, you’re losing some RBI’s because in the leadoff spot, he’s going to hit some leadoff home runs. He had 29 home runs this year. But I think he makes a lot of sense in the leadoff spot. Frankie, what are your thoughts on Cody Bellinger? That’s actually a great choice there. Um, again, he had a terrific year for us. Would love to have him back. We’ll see what they do. I I think they will bring him back. uh makes too much sense uh for them to to not do it. Uh I’m not going to choose I’m gonna go with a different answer. I can’t choose Bundra. I’m gonna go a different answer. I guess I’m cheating here. I got two answers. One, even though it makes no sense, why not put the Mingas out there, see what you got? I I could see them trying it. Even though, again, you’re going to have to make him a heck of a better fielder than he is. And then two, and I was thinking about this yesterday. It was your stupid idea. And you know what? I could totally see the Yankees doing it. Anthony Vulpi as your lead off for 2020. You know what you said? make him uh you know he had his best success with lead off so why not bring him back although if you really when he cut down on his swing when he cut down on his swing and I know that he didn’t hit for much power and that like it took a step back but he was a better player he was a better hitter Frankie I agree with you 100% there yeah although if you really want I was say if you really want to bring Vulpi back to where he had his best success you would put him back in the minors but that’s not going to happen they’re going to keep him on the team next year and so so I I could see the Yankees being like all right you don’t like Vulpi guess what we’re putting you we’re putting him lead off. You’re gonna have to watch him lead off every game in 2026. So, I’m gonna say either Yeah, Dominguez, the more I think about it, that’s that’s less likely. I’m gonna say uh I gotta say it’s somebody on the roster. I say Vulpi. Um but hope hope that it’s Bellinger. That would be that would be great. Fridays at John says there’s no way Bellinger is resigning with the Yankees. I guess we’ll find out. I mean, it I think that there’s a really good chance he comes back. Um yeah, you know, don’t forget nobody else wanted him, right? We got him for basically a pack of cigarettes and Cody Potit, right? It was we didn’t have to pay much for him. But uh let us know in the comments who you think should be the Yankees leadoff man. And download the DraftKings Sportsbook app. Use the code foul. That’s code FO for new customers. It’s been like cuz once the season ends like it’s only the die hards that like have the stomach to watch baseball stuff while the World Series is going on with other teams. But you know we we’ll pick it up. We’ll get there this winter I think. Um you know that would be nice. So Frankie, World Series is 22. Uh how are we looking? Who you who you think is going to take this thing? and and we were going to cover every single game, but um I’ve got some stuff going on and uh my wife is very very very sick right now and I feel myself getting sick and I’ve got to leave the house for a couple days and and and and do some stuff so over the next couple of days. So, I’m just not going to have the time to cover the the last two games unfortunately. But, uh what are your thoughts on the World Series as it stands 22? Well, first of all, Derek, all the best to you. Hope you feel better and to Mrs. Pinstripe territory and the family all the best. Um before yesterday I thought for sure I told you that oh yeah the Dodgers are going to run away with this series. I just felt like they had all the momentum and you know winning that game and I got to give so much credit to the Blue Jays no matter what happens in this series. That was such an impressive victory to get knocked down to get hit to the down to the mat lose a game like that in 18 innings have your bullpen just depleted after that you’re down 2-1 LA the place going nuts and you win that game. Extremely impressive. Great home run by Vlad. They got to Blake Tryan, which I don’t know why Dave Roberts putting Blake Tryan out there. No one wanted to see him out there. For some reason, he’s like, “Sure, I’ll let him go.” And what do you think it’s going to happen? He gives up a couple runs. And the Blue Jays are now back in the series. Uh, as Magic Johnson tweeted today, whoever wins this game is now in control of the series. Uh, I I don’t think it’s a must-win, though. I think either one of these teams um it’s if the Dodgers win tonight, I could see them winning one. And if the Blue Jays or if the Dodgers win tonight, I could see the Blue Jays winning the next two. And if the Blue Jays win tonight, I can see the Dodgers, you know, pulling off two more. Uh, but in the end, I’m going to I I’m I’m rolling with the Dodgers now in seven. I had Dodgers in six. I have Dodgers in seven now. The Blue Jays really impressed me, but I think the Dodgers are going to be able to pull it off. But what a job last night by Toron. Yeah. Yeah. The the way they came back, you know, after after that heartbreaking loss in 18 innings. They’ve already done better than we did last year, Frankie. And it’s been a a good World Series so far. It is. There’s no way around it. This has been a great World Series. And um I’m still rooting for the Dodgers to win just because of the way the uh the Blue Jays uh you know rubbed our nose in it a little bit and I don’t want to hear from Blue Jays fans all next year. But you know what? If they beat the Dodgers, they’ve earned it and they will have my respect. Donnie gets a ring and Donnie gets a ring. But I still want his first ring to come with the Yankees when they wise up, put him back on the staff. All right, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for watching. Thank you to Frankie Baseball. We’ll be back um at some point. I don’t know if Frank you’ll be back next week, but I will be back on uh Monday or Tuesday with with some more fresh content taking the weekend off. Everybody have a happy and safe Halloween. Enjoy the rest of the World Series and I’ll see you next time. [Music] If you enjoyed this content, please hit that like button and subscribe. 1. Trade for Brendon Donovan to bat leadoff he's the type of contact control hitter. Who won't think homer first clutch player who can play multiple positions at a gold glove level.

  2. I dont understand you guys u think they have to hit homeruns to be successful wrong look at the 1998 yankees they won more games that year than any other team the highest man on that team was 28 home runs

  3. LF Kwan (L)
    RF Judge (R)
    1B Rice (L)
    DH Stanton (R)
    2B Jazz (L)
    CF Dominguez (S)
    C Wells (L)
    3B McMahon (L)
    SS Volpe/Caballero (R)
The lineup is getting a little lefty heavy.

  4. If Dominguez doesn't get the opportunity this year to play full time, he's going to be everything he was meant to be somewhere else cause our leadership doesn't know how to develop.

  5. This is what I would do I would trade Jazz and minor league pitcher.. for Nico Horner. Both players are in their walk years. You got your lead off hitter in Nico… and Jazz has a 2 base roll in Chicago… I only say this because we are too left-handed.

  6. I genuinely don’t understand what baseball people are watching. Jasson is more than a solid baseball player. The man has never had a fair shake. Compare his situation to the grace extended to Volpe.

  7. Have you noticed how Toronto's hitters just try to make contact in contrast to Yankee hitters who swing from the heels also both dodgers and Blue Jays leave there starters in when there pitching well; remember game 1 wildcard against Boston?

  8. It's the Yankees' fault that Dominguez didn't have a good year. If they gave him the same chance that they gave Volpe, he would have been much better. Nobody ever mentions that.

  9. Where's Dominguez going to play in the field? He's well below average in left. He can't hit from the right side. He's realistically a DH. Only we have 3 other DH's. Is he a leadoff hitter? For the Yanks…yeah. For most of baseball? NO.

  10. Guys, “it’s now or never“? For Dominguez? I know he’s got to work on his left-handed at bats and definitely his defense, but he’s 22 years old! He sat for the second half of the season! Going to have to find a place to keep him working but 22 years old and we’re ready to give up on him? That’s just stupid.
