Will the Bulls or Blackhawks have a better season?

Most people are going to answer bulls here because the broader question really is which which sport is more appealing to you and I think the hockey audience is still a niche audience in Chicago. So the amount of people who were captivated by the Blackhawks is going to be smaller than the Bulls. That said, it’s easy to get excited for both teams for different reasons. You know, the the Blackhawks are finally looking like a team that has a a plan and a future because of all the young talent they’ve accumulated with draft picks that have been intelligent and guys who fit together nicely, complemented by veterans who know how to play the game, the Tyler Bertus of the world, and they hired the right coach. Jeff Blashel knows what he’s doing. Likewise, the Bulls have the right coach and this time the plan looks like it’s the right plan for now. It’s the NBA, so you have to and maybe it’s by default. Who who who knows? I mean, we’ll see where this is going. But after four straight victories, the only the fifth time in franchise history that’s happened, which seems remarkable to me, I it’s it’s worth paying attention to things at the United Center this winter. It’s worth getting excited about. You can allow yourself that the cynicism to be removed for a little while. I can tell you the audiences at CHSN have been very high for the first couple weeks of both seasons and that’s encouraging because people are trying to get into this. They’re trying to come back to this and now I think you wonder which team is more sustainable. The lead in the Sun Time story about the Hawks today by Ben Pope is if the season ended today, the Blackhawks would be in the playoffs. Okay, great lead, Ben, but it’s October 30th, but it is reflective of what’s going on. Both teams have postseason aspirations. The Bulls are probably more realistic than the Hawks. Personally speaking, I enjoy watching hockey at that high of a level more than I do maybe the Bulls right now, but that could possibly change. I’m going to have I’m going to find room for both.
