John Tvaris is probably not celebrating right now, but we will celebrate his excellence in a terrific milestone as we walk through the milestone goals that led to 500. Yeah, you got number one, number 100, number 200 as a New York Islander and here tonight and you know a difficult emotional time. Just the second Toronto Maple Leaf to score his 500th goal as a member of the Leafs. [Music]

  26. when they define 'unsung'' … too often this guy has endured. 500 goals in any era is pure legend. Canadian hockey hero. always. John Tavares. first ballot. could he be an extra forward for olympic team canada? game 5 Jays win…. 500 JT same night. 🙂

    What could have been a big night for him and his family he finds himself playing for Toronto.
    He was also horrible last night…on the ice for 4 goals.
    Least he scored.
    Matthews? Zero points!😅
