  1. Well he’s had nothing short of horrendous luck since coming into the league. Hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery and finally make his debut next year

  2. Terrible news, hope he gets the treatment he needs and is able to get back on the court 🙏🏼

  3. That’s awful, especially for someone only 20 years old.

Hopefully they caught it early, from what I know testicular cancer specifically has a very high survival rate when treated early.

  4. Prayers up, as bad as cancer is, testicular cancer is one of the most effectively treated ones. Hopefully he’ll be back soon

  5. There was a football player for Bilbao, Yeray iirc who had a similar diagnosis he thankfully made a full recovery

    Hopefully the same thing here

  6. damn man

can’t wait for him to beat it and see him back on the court … awful luck since the draft process

  7. That‘s why I didn‘t get people joking about his procedure. This was sadly the most likely. Well wishes to Topic and as always FUCK CANCER

  8. As a former testicular cancer haver please check your balls. It tends to be fairly common in young men but is very treatable if caught early

  9. Important to note the revovery rate for testicular cancer is very high, more than 98% i think. He should be expected to be fine

  10. Sheesh cancer is real adversity. Hoping he comes back quickly with the larger chip on his shoulder

  11. Fuck this is awful. They’re starting chemotherapy as well so I highly doubt he’ll be back this season. Get well Tope!

edit: every case is different obviously, but I remembered Nene’s case with it. He had removal and one round of chemo and was back in 2.5 months.

  12. To all the dudes in here, feel up your balls right now. And do it every so often to make sure you don’t find any anomalies/lumps.

Also, it keeps you warm during the winter.

  13. Testicular cancer rates are way up all over the globe, probably thanks in great part to forever chemicals being in pretty much every water source. Best of luck to Nikola.

  14. Its fucking horrifying that he is diagnosed with t.cancer at JUST 20 YEARS OLD

Prayers up and hope he defeats it with ease

  15. God, that’s awful to hear.

Testicular cancer is VERY different from other cancers in that it shows up just as frequently in young, healthy athletic men.

  16. Seems like it was caught early so that’s good. Early detection saves lives

Hope his mental is ok. Tearing your acl followed by cancer is rough. Wemby said the blood clots gave him a new look on life because he faced his mortality early. Hopefully topic looks at it that way and lives life to the fullest.

  17. Spreading some good news here, according to google’s AI summary of search results:

“Testicular cancer has a very high recovery rate, with an overall 5-year survival rate of about 95%. Cure rates are higher for early-stage cancers, reaching up to 98% for localized disease. Even with spread to regional lymph nodes or distant organs, the survival rate remains high, though it decreases depending on the extent of the spread. “
