Interesting stat I found.

Air Yards are the distance the ball travels from the line of scrimmage to the WR’s catch attempt on a pass play.

  1. Looks like there have been a ton of opportunities to stretch the field we just haven’t executed on.

Shough has a reputation for having a live arm and great touch on his deep balls. If there’s one area he can immediately improve the offensive execution in, it’s these yards we’ve been leaving on the table.

If he can use his skillset to capitalize on these opportunities, it could inject some life into our offense.

  2. I googled it and result was:

    > Non-Catchable Air Yards – A high NCAY indicates poor quarterback accuracy or target quality

Interesting, cause we did have both.

  3. When we hit that Deep Out to Shaheed in the Giants game it changed the momentum and whole complexion of the game. Shough has an arm to attack all areas and all levels of the field can throw off platform too. He seems accurate on his tape lets see if it translates over the rest of the season.

  4. I mean, we knew Rattler was bad at the deep ball but damn. If defenses can respect Shoughs deep ball and Olave/Shaheed’s speed it should open up a lot more options, espeically in the run game!

  5. Can a Rattler stan explain to me how he “isn’t bad” yet has two of his receivers on this list?
