Brian Wright took a ton of heat early on, but he should be in the Danny Ainge tier.

  1. In the event of a swap with three teams, who gets what pick? Looks like we will have picks of teams likely to be worse than us in nearly every year out to 2031.

  2. He made some questionable picks when he first got here but besides that he’s been great.

  3. He let Chip Engelland walk to OKC, he’ll never be in the Sam Presti/R.C. Buford tier.

  4. 2026 swap : Spurs get most favorable of ATL/SAS

2028 swap : Spurs get most favorable of BOS/SAS (except in the case of Boston winning the lottery and getting #1)

2030 swap : Spurs get the most favorable of DAL/MIN (except in case of Minnesota winning the lottery and getting #1)/SAS

2031 swap – Spurs get the most favorable of SAC/SAS ???

Can someone confirm this? All trade trackers are ass in terms of pick conditions. No wonder 2k can’t get shit right.

  5. Primo and Samanic were questionable. Branham and Blake did not develop as we hoped they would. Sochan is still under question.

Wright is good yes. Has he also been extremely lucky? Absolutely. Once he delivers a championship, he can enter into that discussion. For now, I think we should still put a pause.

  6. Ainge probably missed the ideal trading window with him, true. But he’s still got trade value if/when they decide to make a move.

Meanwhile, I just looked and remembered/realized that he picked up Phoenix’s unprotected 2031 first round pick earlier this year. That’s one of 10 first round picks he’s got over the next six years, with swap rights upgrading several of those pics. That seems… good.

  7. Lets be honest, our turnaround is 95% lottery luck with Victor, Stephon and Dylan. He’s put us in a position to build on it but if we don’t get Victor nobody would be saying how great Brian Wright is
