NHL Highlights | Stars vs. Lightning – October 30, 2025

And the Dallas Stars, they’ve won their three straight against Carolina Nashville and a one- nothing win behind the shut out of Jakeer, who no surprise goes again tonight. Well, it’s been a roller coaster start for the Dallas Stars. Three straight wins, then four straight losses, now three straight wins again. Victor Hedman with a slot for Hegel. Couldn’t do that one to the net. It’s Maverick the other way. John Cooper often goes 11 and seven. has historically over his coaching tenure. He’s been a master at it. No doubt about that. Turnover. Robertson to the slot and the stick broke on Wyatt Johnston. Wasn’t even that hard of a pass as that wrist shot from Leouchin handled by Vaselki. Dallas keeps the puck in the zone for a moment and then bursting through center. Comes Lillberg. He’ll take it to the wall and drive to the net. Back in front of Lberg rebounds are going to piece it and go. Oliver Bjorkstrand had that last look and it just deflected by the open net. Oh, Tampa Bay is cooking right now. I I mean this a beautiful little play here. Backhand pass uh save there on the toe. Then this play here by Labouchkin. That that’s the one that Bjorkstr I mean he’s got an empty net right there and he just can’t get over the stick. Right. Right pad save there. And you can see the rebound going to the Bjorkstrand and Gonalves try to win the puck back. They get it away from Harley. Pass to the top. That shot gets on goal. Rebound fought free is George pulls it away from who’s lost his stick and then point escapes right through the hit from big Leon Bishell. Cucharov through the slot. A shot fought off by Otinger and then Foxa rescued it from the crease. What a pass by Coov. Steer it around Alex Pesvic. Another broken stick this time for Homer who goes towards the bench while blockers one away from the goal. Charlan Ward two had the puck with double team lost it. He came to a good spot. Hegel delays. Will try it all the way around and run through the blue paint out the other side. Basu plays it down the wall. Hegel pushed off the heel of the stick of Jurgensson. [Applause] Agel got that one through for Yanni. Gordon go kicked out by Ager. Shooting gallery here for the Lightning as that one just missed the net and takes a Stars bounce all the way down. Well, we see it firsthand here as the crowd gets on their feet. Another good shift back to back. But now I see what Glen Bolson is talking about with how tightly packed in the T-zone they are. This brings Celli who missed it high. It hit the glass and hit the netting. Ethan Robertson left it. Pork returns it. Robertson couldn’t reach it. Edmond put it around the wall and Dell just tossed it to the net with Robertson hanging in the neighborhood. That puck kept in on side. Stars have it. Robertson looking over his options. He’ll take the shot and kicked out by Basileski. [Applause] Puck available right there in front of Darren Pang. And it’s figured out by Gurgensson’s and the lightning just off the left arm. Jake Gensel over towards Du. He’ll shoot it in from center. Her came out the play. It could not. Cut your swung it to the net. It hit off Wyatt Johnston skate. That’s how it got on goal and Anger able to react accordingly. Here’s Hegel across the line. Inside out move brings it around the net. Put it into play. Real estate and Anger makes the save on Celli. Minor penalty, but here’s a AT&T connected cam. And you see Hegel a little outside inside Audi duty move right there. And then the rebound. And look at the goalender. The goalender ends up getting position using his left skate pushing to the right. Gets some help from his centerman steel. But after just one assist in his first seven, he has found it now. Here’s Robertson for the Stars. A wrist shot on goal. Save made by Vasilki. Sended for Yanni Gore just out of his reach. Adam Ernie touched it. Kabiano up ahead and through the neutral zone comes Ernie. Adam Ernie driving wide on the backand takes it around. Wraparound try. Rebound stopped by Vaselovski against a left hand shot going high to the blocker. Other end of the ice. Another little wrap around. Gensel dragged it through. 5 seconds left. Gensel sets it up. That shot stopped by. How about one more save for Jake Anger to close. Oh, well played first period of hockey here in Tampa. Du for Cerellian back again. Dast with a shot. Rebound swatted away from the net by Jakeer. Bast shows a lot of patience that kind of got lost in the shuffle there in Grand Rapids during co. I mean that that that that halted a lot of guys careers. Here’s heist into the front and the pass tapped wide by Blackwell. The stick there. And again we go back to that break of the stick by Wyatt Johnson early. Let’s see if Oh, what a pass. It sends quite and it’s blockered away byer. One sent to center for Hegel doubles back in his own end and he’ll get a full head of steam. He was the most noticeable player on the ice in the first period. To dragged and then whipped on the shot. Thought it turned into a fake and then he missed the net. There’s Rich Tovian. Basu comes over, but it’s Justin Richian. Props out, put it off of Vaselki from a tough angle. One played across the ice by Durgensson. Somehow got through for Lillberg. Lillberg to Homeberg. And that shot comes through and then Lillberg’s dry wide of the net. He was trying to urge his team to get more pucks through, more pucks on net. Hasn’t materialized for him. That shot ripped on goal by Hegel. Selli on the followup try and that was blocked by Blackwell for Gonalves and aid Gonalves serves it around the net. Harley couldn’t get it. York strand to the net. Hodinger made a couple of saves. That second one in tight on Dominic James. Good stuff as always from John Cooper. His headman shot through and a safe made by Oer. Cucharov heading in the paint. Save Oer. Rebound collected and cleared by Sam Steel. goal line. Gensel off the skate of Hast came back to him and Andre had to make the stop with his left leg. Gonzu and then Hegel fumbled that puck recovered and then James had it and lost it with the keep in fires it across Gonz Hey off the goal line. It’s in now they wave it off. Referee said no. Now he’s blowing it down. He pointed to the goal and signaled goal. Then he changed his mind. What if that puck went across the goal line? The NHL could signal that to them with the horn. Here it is here off the stick, off the post. Yeah. So that’s that’s exactly it. He kind of double clutched as a as a referee and then he said then he obviously saw this part right there. Oh boy. But he went the other way. Panger, his initial call was goal and then he signaled no goal. after review was determining that the puck fully crossed the line. We have a goal. He’s been brilliant so far in this game. No, four game point streak for Hegel is ranting and looks to get it back. Harley shot and Vaselki there to meet it. Shack boats before the game started. That’s okay. I got to get this outfit off. I can’t see anything. Oh boy. [Applause] You know, there’s a couple of power plays. They didn’t score the power play goal. The second unit did and Dallas did exactly what they had to do. Send the best player frustrated going to the bench. Fata the bank shot. They score. Adam Ernie got a piece of the point shot from Petravic. And the Dallas Stars open the third period by tying the score. And out. And that’s why there was a feeling that was in the net, but it was not. Play goes down the other way. Foxy just protects the puck, protects it on little grid. And then the shot is redirected by the former Tampa Bay Lightning, Adam Ernie, with good hand eye coordination right there on the back part of his backand pass that no one expects. That one there a little frustrating for him. He got fumbled off the end of his blade, too. Point for Hegel. Hegel drags, shoots, save, rebound, backhand, and got it underneath him. And this is the power play unit that scored the only goal for Tampa Bay on the run. A quick little snap shot there by Hegel underneath the defenseman’s legs and then after this shot which a tough one to stop. Watch the movement there. No high stick at all. A minute of five on three time for the Dallas Stars trying to break this 1-1 tie. Hasten and goal line. Johnston to the crease. Shovs to the crease. It’s loose and they blow it down. Big help keeps Celli from getting to that one at least for now. 7 seconds left. Nico Ranton it got it past Mcdana. Two seconds left. Sagan got buried right in front of the lightning bench by Brandon Hegel. Jakeer, he won 36 of them. That was third. Overtime underway here in Tampa. Celli and Hegel get control of the puck and get off the ice. And here come and point with the puck fumbled by Hedman. He just had to chip it away and it’s collected by Ranin. Now Hastin over the line. Rampidan with speed. Ranidan throws the brakes on at the goal line. Lost it. Celli tried to chip it around and go get it. Anthony Celli with a pass to the net in overtime. Scores. Celli overtime winner for Tampa. He drags it the other way. There’s the play. The quicker. Now he comes buzzing through the neutral zone on the back end. Three stars are after him. Hinan tries to push Randon with his stick to give him a little bit more juice. As you can see there, he falls. And now he’s got the presence of mind to go back to the backand. And [Music]

Anthony Cirelli scored a beautiful overtime winner and Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced as the Tampa Bay Lightning snapped the Dallas Stars’ three-game win streak with a 2-1 victory.

  1. We (Stars) look absolute dog water this season. If not for Oettinger we could literally be bottom of the league standings. This new system with Gulutzan really aint working with this roster at all.
