What were the terms of those deals? Well, they they got a 67. They got a six or a seven as part of those deals. You can’t jar me. He walked me into that. What am I not going to answer the question? You’re giving me a dirty look. I’m not giving you a dirty look. You just didn’t have to do it. So, I think it’s a jar. What? He had He had to do it. I I teed him up to do it. That’s not fair. Get mad at him. I threw I threw him to Yeah. Does it mean he has to take the bait? He got If I throw it If I throw the lob at the rim, he’s got to dunk it. We going to let it go out of bounds. Why are you trying to have him dunk on 67 is my question. This is your fault. Because I want to facilitate his great greatness. I know he’s going to be at his best if I give him if I give him those types of opportunities. He could do like a teenage meme joke. Yeah. We’re just going to lean into it. You did it, by the way. 67. Well, Chef yesterday on his podcast, ESPN senior NFL insider as he recorded this and released this podcast one week away from the NFL trade deadline uh prior to the two New England deals that were made wondered this on the Adam Chapter podcast available wherever podcasts are found. Is there a move coming that nobody can see right now? Is there some kind of big name floating out there that the media has missed whose name has not been out there who all of a sudden is traded right before the deadline? Sometimes that happens. All of a sudden a name creeps up. I’m like, “Oo, I didn’t know that this guy was going to be dealt Chase Young a couple of years ago when Washington traded him to San Francisco.” There’s usually like a name that for all the talk that we’ve had about the Saints receivers and the players in the Titans roster and Kyle Duggar and all these moves, there’s one name like whoa. I don’t think Adam specifically is looking for one person, but he certainly I don’t know, man. Adam Sheffy can’t say something like that and not have us speculate. There’s nobody that is in the know more so than him. That’s correct. So, I’m glad you asked. It seems like an informed speculation. So, here’s I came up with a list. Okay, I came up with a list of players and most of these players cannot financially be traded necessarily unless you’re willing to do some things. But I have a couple of questions on these players as to whether or not their teams would actually love for them to be the big name that actually gets traded. Okay, I know number one on this list. So there’s a few of them. I know number one on let’s run through. We’re going to go quickly through non quarterback. One of them is one of them a quarterback. All right, we are back on Get Up. We are six days from the NFL trade deadline. And so I want to do a little something here called Who Would Peter Call? And with the most flattering photo we can possibly and I mean that seriously. I know. We we we just put a picture of Bradley Cooper in the wall and said great. It’s going to be Peter. But anyway, so we got our insider, we got our front office executive. All right. So, you’re going to tell if you right now as we’re approaching the deadline, you tell me what phone call you would make if you were working in an NFL front office and we’ll see what Lewis thinks of it. What’s number one? If I’m the San Francisco 49ers, they just acquired Keon White from the Patriots. I am calling the Cincinnati Bengals and I’m calling every day and I’m saying, “What will it cost to get us Trey Hendrickson?” We know the injuries have hit them. We also know they’re still in the thick of this. I think Trey Hendrickson right now the Bengals and I know this because teams are calling. Bengals are saying he’s not for sale. He’s not. Let’s see if they lose this Sunday and suddenly Trey Hendrickson might be for sale. One-year deal, half the season left. If the season’s going south, do the Bengals try to get a second round or third round pick for this veteran asset. If on the NerS, yes, Keon White’s a nice piece, I guess. But for all the injuries, gosh, Trey Hendrickson down the stretch against the Rams and the Seahawks, huge piece. I love it from that side. What do you think? Yeah, it makes sense to me. It makes sense to me. I’d also be trying to call the Raiders right now. See if I can get Max Crosby. Yeah. Although, I’m sure that they would rebuff me. I’ll tell you what, Trey Hendrickson, there’s another team that I’d be picking up the phone right now and calling Cincy and see if I can get him. That’d be Indianapolis. Look, Lou Adam should go ahead and see if he can get his old guy back. Exactly. See if he can get him in the pole with Lu. I’m telling you. Here’s the question I want to ask you though. I hear you. Look, so many teams could use Trey Hendrickson obviously and the Bengals lost this past weekend. Might have been the worst loss. Call Indianapolis yourself. See if they want. I love it. I love that one. Let’s go to the next one here. The Dallas Cowboys are in desperate straits. What do we do? They’re horrendous on defense right now. That is I think one of the biggest frustrations that this team has right now, and you have to deal with it because every team is pretty much um is not being able to see the totality of the potential of your offense because Brocks played two games. One of them was hurt, the other one he got hurt in. Uh Rickie is now hurt. Aayuk hasn’t played. So, take a listen to what George said about wanting to play with those guys at some point. I mean, I love playing football with Ricky cuz he’s like KB and he’s just so full of energy and so full of love of the game. So, that’s a guy like I love playing with. I mean, I think I I’ve said a thousand nice things about Brock. You guys know exactly how I feel about him. So, um you know, he’s the best operator of our offense that I’ve ever seen. So, yeah. Yeah, I mean, and then I is, you know, we paid him $30 million for a reason cuz that’s how good he is. And so, yeah, you can daydream and think about that stuff and I can’t wait to start playing with those guys again, but you know, currently, you know, we’re playing with what we got. And I think we what we got is enough to win football games, especially, you know, today. But when you operate the way that we did in those first three, four drives, which is just honestly really, really bad is what I would say. Um, from MAS to procedure penalties to haulings, whatever, whatever they were. I mean, we just play bad football on offense today. All right, Jennifer, I’ll go to you first. Um, it are the 49ers getting a point where they can’t wait anymore. What I mean by that is the Giants are up next and then it’s the Rams. They are now third in the NFC West. And even though there’s still a lot of football to be played, those margins are getting thinner and thinner. Do they need those players on offense to be back ASAP for them to be at least dreaming about contending for something? I mean, I think anytime you have guys like Brock Py and Ricky Pierce all on the field, they’re a better team. But like George said, he thinks they have enough to win. And I think, you know, when it you look at how Kyle Shanahan’s offense is timing based, if a wide receiver is off on the block, if he’s off on uh a protection, it throws the whole thing off, guys. If they aren’t getting open, that changes how where M. Jones can go with the ball. So, it is mis assignments. You know, I think we don’t know the exact play call on who’s supposed to hit who, where, but oftent times if a tight end is supposed to chip or if a wide receiver is supposed to chip or they’re supposed to open up a lane for a running a run, those that’s how Kyle Shanhan’s offense is successful. If those things don’t happen because someone’s not lined up in the right spot or um because they get moved back five yards because of a face mask penalty or whatever it is, they’re not playing clean football right now. So beyond everything, they need to just not have as many mistakes. You know, Carlos, the the team is five and three. And I I think if you’re being being realistic, if you see how the frames got to five and three, you you would take that any season with the the amount of injuries they’ve had. Now, it is just the nature of the NFL that teams are up and down. I mean, think about the 49ers last whatever five games. You know, it’s it’s a horrible game against Jacksonville followed by a great game against the Rams followed by a disheartening game against Tampa Bay in which Fred Warner gets injured and, you know, they lose the game and then they come right back and they face the the Falcons and look good again and then it’s another bad game against Houston. So, it’s just up and down. So, are you saying they’re going to win against the Giants? Up and down. Up and down. You know, if they if they can continue this pattern. Yeah. And I think they are favored in this game. But then you look at just for perspective, look at the entire NFC. And you know, the goal is for the 49ers to make the playoffs, which it is. You know, if you fast forward to early January, and if you make the playoffs, who knows what kind of shape your team’s going to be in. Maybe it’ll be in better shape for the 49ers a couple months down the road than it is right now. And then you don’t know how the other team’s going to look. I mean, the Detroit Lions last year were the number one seed and they were leaking oil at the finish line because of all their injuries and they lose in their first game. But just look at the teams behind the 49ers right now in the NFC playoff race. And again, we got a lot of football to play. But the Chicago Bears, 49ers will play them later this season. Carolina Panthers 49ers will play them later this season. That’s amazing right there that the Panthers are are in the playoff mix and at 500. Those are the only other teams. Those are the only teams outside the playoff hunt right now outside of the top seven teams in the NFC that have at 500 or above 500 records. So, it it’s very much in play for the 49ers to see this season through and see what they can do and per perhaps maybe likely getting into the playoffs. What just quick answer before we go to Demo North Sound. Uh Matt, you first. What player, what offensive player do you think the 49ers need more to be back on the field? If you could just pick one.
