NFL Week 9 preview 2025: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills | Chris Simms Unbuttoned | NFL on NBC

the big game of the day. Most of these games are looking like they’re going to potentially be blowouts and well, if you if you suffer through those, you get rewarded by Chiefs at Bills. The 10th time they’ve gotten together. The Chiefs are favored by one and a half. This is the first time that the Bills have been an underdog since week one against the Ravens. Over under a 52 and a half. The Bills have won, I believe. I need to confirm this, but I believe the Bills have beaten them four straight times, four straight years in the regular season. Do they make it five? Right. I believe Josh Allen’s four and one against Mahomes in the regular season, right? So, I think you’re you’re right there. And the one win the COVID game, right, on like a Tuesday night, uh when Kansas City beat Buffalo that year, I believe is the the one they won in the regular season. But this is first off, the Chiefs are fighting for their lives as we know. I mean, they’re they’re still looking at it going, “We want to be the number one seed.” Like, screw the Colts, all that. We’re doing that. They’re feeling their mojo. Now, the Bills, as you’ve heard me talk about a lot. The Bills are are really kind of built to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s what they’ve built their team around. You always hear me say if you can run the ball on the Bills, they’re in deep crap because now they’re not that big up front and they got to worry about that and then they’re not the type of team that can play manto man and McDermott can’t be all cool and crazy with his awesome coverages he has. So that’s an issue there, right? But with all that and yeah, the Chiefs don’t run the ball all that great. So you would think, oh, that’s advantage Bills in that department there a little bit. But I don’t I think it’s different this year. I think it’s different. The Chiefs, first off, they’re feeling their mojo. Their offense has got it going. Rasheed Rice back in the lineup totally changes their football team. Totally. I mean, it makes Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown and Travis Kelce look so much better because they have a guy that can focus and f make a focal point of their game plan. And of course, he can go above and beyond the plays that are there to be had. He’s special that way, right? Mahomes is on his game. He’s playing an MVP type of level. And even though the Bills don’t have to worry about, yeah, the run game a whole lot, I don’t think their defense is good enough to even stop Kansas City with their pass game and how they’re going right now and what they’re doing. And I don’t think they’re going to be able to pressure Mahomes when they just rush four. So therefore, he’s going to have all day to throw and make magic happen and do all that. I don’t think the Bills will be able to control the game with their offensive run game. I’m going Chiefs 2724 up in Buffalo. 30 to 27 Chiefs. As much as I want to try to find a way for the Bills to win this game, the Chiefs are the ones who are trending the right way. They have ground to make up. They’re trying to prove things to everyone else and to themselves. For the Chiefs, it kind of feels like a playoff game. And in the playoffs, the Chiefs are 4-0 against the Bills with Mahomes and Allen. They’ve beaten the Bills for the last five years in the playoffs. first time in NFL history that one team has beaten the same team four times in five years. And it just feels like that’s what’s going to happen. And I also have another feeling. And this one is far less of a of a risky feeling. That’s a 425 game and it’s probably going to be a close game and it’s probably going to go down to the wire which means that for the first half hour or so of Football Night in America, we can basically do whatever we want. Like nobody’s gonna be paying attention. We can act the full, right? Maybe the only hope. Let’s not wear Yeah. What do you want to do? Let’s wear no shirt or something on the show. The first half. The only hope. No, that would not. That would No, the only hope would be if we have O the mentalist on. Maybe we should start a rumor that O is going to be on from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. Eastern. That would move the needle. I think O is the man. But O vers Josh Allen and Patrick Holmes. Sorry, I don’t think that’s still winning out on being sarcastic. Yeah, thank you. I know that there buddy. Thanks a lot. 30 to 20 shirtless O’s. That would be maybe we could do something where O’s can like guess your tattoos. I don’t know. Anyway, uh 30 to 27 for me, 2724 for you. Yo yo yo. 1. This game won’t be close.. Bills don’t have any WR that can separate. Shakir is good but he is a YAC guy. Spags will frustrate Allen.
On the other side Chiefs offense is gonna destroy Bills defense.
    Chiefs 34-20

  2. I’m gonna jinx one team and predict a blowout. Chiefs 44, Buffalo 6. Josh didn’t say anything nice about Patrick in his presser except that “he’s a good quarterback.” I guarantee that Patty noticed his golf buddy holding back.

  3. If the Bills were built to beat the chiefs they would have good corners. They need a new Front office and Head coach. Allens career is being wasted.
