Utah Jazz have to make a choice!!

The Utah Jazz have to make a choice. Let’s talk about it. It’s the Hoopser Show. [Music] All right, guys. Like always, make sure you like the video, subscribe to the channel. The Utah Jazz have a good problem on their hands, but they have a problem. They have two players that one has incredible upside and long-term potential, and one is in his prime. You probably know who I’m talking about. The one in his prime is Lowry Markin, and the one with long-term incredible potential is Ace Bailey. The way they’re playing Lowry Markin, the way they’re playing Ace Bailey is identical. And at some point, and probably very soon, the Utah Jazz have to make a choice between the two. In preeason, we saw Ace Bailey show everything that he could do. He was much more advanced than we thought. He was running off screens. He was getting shots in the mid-range. The offense was geared around getting him shots while Lowry Markin and all the main starters that we’ve been starting seeing this season were not playing. And it was clear that Utah wanted to see what they have. And what they have is a potential star in Ace Bailey. We don’t know how good he can be, but we know he’s going to be good. We’re already seeing incredible flashes. In his last game, he goes three for three in the mid-range, has multiple assists, an incredible block shot, and it was in just 15 minutes. The other thing we’re seeing right now is that Lowry Markin is at peak form. He is he has his 51-point game. He’s scoring like 30 points per game this season. It’s incredible what numbers he’s doing, but he’s in his absolute prime. This is as good as Lowry Markin is going to be. The thing is is the way that they were running offense for Ace Bailey in the preseason is what they’re doing with Lowry Markin. Now, both players play off the ball, at least right now. Although, what’s exciting about Bailey is we’re seeing that that handle is getting better and better. And there’s a lot more potential with Bailey than I think we realize, especially with the playmaking. He’s an incredible passer. I mean, he he makes the right P. I guess incredible might be a little over the top, but he’s been so much better passing the ball than I think anyone expected and so much more willing to pass the ball. And so, we see what Lowry Markin is doing. The offense is 100% geared around getting Lowry Markin in the ball, getting him the shots that he c he’s good at, and it’s going great. He’s getting big-time shots inside. He’s getting to the free throw line. He’s scoring at an elite level, but the offense is completely geared around that. And we’re seeing Ace Bailey come off the bench and not get as many opportunities. Now, he’s looking a lot healthier, a lot better. The last game was a sign of things to come, but at this point, Utah probably has to make a decision because if you have Lowry Markin and Ace Bailey in the same lineup, one of them, you’re you’re getting diminishing returns because you have a redundancy of skill set. They do the same things. Coming off screens, having them run off screens to get them the ball in the mid-range or at the three-point line. You’ve got to at this point decide what you’re going to do. Are you deciding that you want to go full Ace Bailey and develop him or do you want to just keep having Ace Bailey come off the bench and have Lowry Markin run? The thing is is Utah has to decide here pretty soon because they’ve already they’re two and two now. They’ve already won two games and they’ve shown that they can beat all these bad teams. But is that the best thing for the Jazz long term? Are is losing their pick to Oklahoma City the right move where Utah is not beating better teams? Utah’s not really played a good team yet and they’re two and two. When they this next week or two of games, we’re going to get a real insight into how good this Utah Jazz team is. You know, they just lost to a Blazers team that is a good, solid basketball team, but I don’t think anyone’s thinking of them as big-time playoff contenders and Utah struggled in that game. What happens when you start playing the better teams in the league, right? And at some point, if you are losing a lot of games, you are going to want to solidify a position in this draft lottery because the top three picks are absolutely incredible. And if you can pair can can pair one of those top three picks with Ace Bailey with Keonte George, if you’re keeping Walker Kesler with with Walker Kesler, and all of a sudden you’ve got an incredible young core that you keep building with. The following season, Utah will have the Utah will have their own pick plus the best pick between Cleveland and Minnesota. Minnesota’s already slowing down. Mike Connley’s coming off the bench. Rudy Gobear is slowing down. Utah is looking like if they can just win this lottery or at least get a top five pick and then get picks down the road, the ones they’ve been hoping for from Minnesota and Cleveland. And if they make a trade, whatever they get from those trades, they’re going to be really impressive. But right now, Utah has to really focus on Ace Bailey, in my opinion, and develop his skill set. What we saw in preseason was impressive. He was able to do a lot more than I think anyone thought he could. He looked so much more coachable, so much more willing to make the right pass to defend. And in one in a weird way, starting ace Bailey might make the Jazz a little bit better. He’s not the three-point shooter quite yet. At least we’ll see. Maybe he is that Lowry Markin is, but it doesn’t mean he can’t get there. But we’re already seeing that that mid-range shot and that mid-range pullup is advanced and probably better than Markin already. And you could argue that some of that passing is a little better, too. We’ll see. It’s easier said than done um in preseason than in the regular season. and Lowry Markin has shown that he’s finally gotten to that point where he’s doing well uh whoever’s guarding him. So guys, let me know what you think they should do. Should they just keep marketing and ride this and and hope they get extremely lucky in the lottery or should they make a move, get whatever assets they can, focus on Ace Bailey and move forward. Like and subscribe to the channel, guys. I would appreciate it. I will talk to you tomorrow. Game day tomorrow.

The Utah Jazz have to make a choice soon between Lauri Markkanen and Ace Bailey. The skill sets are extremely similar and at some point you have to choose who you want to be the focal point of the offense and of the future.
