Snell: Blue Jays are just lucky and he’s getting unlucky.

  1. Such a lame answer. Just take accountability about needing to be better. Definitely enjoyed watching him lose both of his World Series games.

  2. I dislike Snell, for a multitude of reasons. But it’s kind of refreshing to see a non-standard interview answer.

And he goes instance by instance, too. States where he thinks luck was a factor (even though it basically always is) and then states a few he knows were on him.

Again, the guy bugs me more all kinds of reasons, not the least of which was signing with us while wildly out of shape from sitting on his ass playing video games instead of being ready. But interesting take IMO.

  3. “No excuses. I’m just unlucky.”? Unlucky sounds like an “excuse” to me! Lol man up, Snell!

  4. crazy the difference in humility between Snell and Betts

Snell: I was good, they got lucky every time
    Betts: I’ve been terrible, fml

  5. I mean, I feel like if you’re a Cy Young level pitcher you just have to have this kind of mindset. People always talk about the unrealistic confidence needed to be good at the highest level and this is just an extension of that. Pitchers especially, half the game is almost entirely on them.

Obviously he’s wrong though, dude put up a stinker and lost a world series game for his team.

  6. Okay then. By all means, keep doing what you’re doing . Make no adjustments and hope your luck changes

  7. He’s such a bitch, I’d call him a sellout. But that’s giving him too much credit

  8. It’s an unfalsifiable claim. There is no way he could prove it and there is no way anyone else can disprove it.

    He still lost though.

  9. You mean Snell the strangest weirdest looking baseball player in recent history who keeps letting his ass whipped by Toronto?😂😂😂😂

  10. He speaks like a 16 year old boy. I hope he hasn’t procreated…or ever will. What a tool.

  11. I guess that no hitter was luck too. Everything went his way but nothing went the hitters’ way
