Seth Jones, Panthers Postgame: Florida Rallies in Third, Lose to Anaheim Ducks in SO

helps a lot. You see one go in and uh gave us a little bit of life. Uh for check kind of got back going a little bit. Uh turn some pucks over. U we started skating a little more. So um it’s nice to see one go in. We’ve had trouble kind of putting them in lately and uh it’s it’s nice. That was a nice little play by those guys. What can you say of how this team stuck with their game despite maybe some of the frustration of not being able to capitalize on those chances? Yeah, shows resiliency, you know, um get a point out of that game. Um those all account uh later on in the season. And so that was uh that was important, but you know, we have a tough time putting ourselves in that situation uh in that game. Power, you know, gave up a short-handed goal and then a power play right after. So, uh got to clean up special teams a bit. Seemed like a lot of the passes were missing. It was just one of those kind of nights out there. A little sloppy. Yeah, just a little sloppy. In terms of five on five play, do you think this was kind of a continuation? There was long stretches there though where you guys really controlled the play for the most part. I thought so too. I thought so too. Uh we had a lot of shots on net and um our forch check was decent. Um, we try to be aggressive as defenseman and help help that out a little bit. Um, you know, but at the end of the day, we got to find a way to maybe get a little more bodies in front. Um, some more traffic there to make it difficult on some of these goals we’re playing. What exactly happened on Ryan’s goal? Right. Just a body in front. Exactly. Um, you know, I’m not a goalie, but I’m I’m sure those are the some of the hardest saves to make is those tips. Uh, you know, traffic flashing in front of his eyes. And so, um, those are a lot of a lot of the goals are scored in this league. Um, and Ron is one of the best at it in front. What do you attribute some of the sloppy play to? Is it just one of those things or is it something that you guys can focus on or? Uh, I’m not sure. You know, just locking in I think a little bit more. Um, just tape to tape passes, making it easy on each other. Um, I thought the breakouts actually weren’t too bad tonight. You know, we didn’t spend a lot of time in our zone. Um, I don’t know what analytics and all that says, but um, it was a decent game overall. Like I said, special teams, I mean, you give Bashorty in a zero game and then five on three right after. So, um, that’s kind of the game a little bit.
