Should have gotten WMBBY. But listen, we got Ron Holland at five. And Holland has come into his own role here and has that gritty mentality for this Pistons team defensively. He’s been working on his jump shot. That’s going to be an offensive foul going against Luca Garza. And the Pistons retain possession here. 30 seconds left to play in the first quarter. Still going on with that ongoing gambling investigation. Um, still hasn’t really been cleared yet. So, that’s a big loss offensively. Beasley led the way with us for was our biggest three-point shooter last year. Tried to fill in that hole with Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert. Levert has been hurt currently right now, but um they’re going to try and get Duncan Robinson more opportunities. Duncan Robinson had a pretty good game against the Rockets uh a couple days ago. I believe he had 17 points. I think he uh shot like 50% from three. So Duran, I like his progress. He’s still super young, too. 21 years old. Obviously Kade leading the way this year, but um Jaden Ivy, that’s the guy that everybody’s banking on this year. Um he was expected to start this year for the Pistons and had one preseason game and felt discomfort in his knee and uh now they got to get it checked out. I believe he had surgery on it again. So they’re going to try and hopefully get Ivy back by Thanksgiving. So got to get healthy for uh Ivy. Iivey’s also going into a contract year, same as Duran. Assar was great down the stretch last year against that Knicks postseason playoff series. Jaylen Brown, what’s going on, Lawrence? Yeah, Jaylen Brown is uh playing today for the Celtics. Yes, appreciate you guys all tuning in. What’s up? What’s up? New York Jets get their first win of the season. That’s great. Reese Hall came up clutch. He had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown at the end of that game. Crazy start of the second quarter about to begin, guys. But Beef Stew, Assar Thompson working on their jump shots in the off season. Especially Assar just because of how athletic he is. If he can get a jump shot going, this is a huge problem for the rest of the league. Cade two full court. Kade loses it. High bounce pass. Just lost it off his hands. Beef stew. Great defense. Cade rips it away from the Celtics. Kade gets it back to Laneir. Laneir gets it back to Cade. Cade looking to drive. Cade with a little floater and he’s got it. A 12-2 Pistons run. 33-26. Pistons one and one and Tobias is at the line. 8 minutes and 42 seconds left to play in the first half. Tobias dribbles first free throw on the way and that ball is good. 41 to 31 now. Tobias lining up for his second free throw attempt of the game. Tobias five points, two boards so far in the first half. Tobias looking to add another. Tobias second free throw on the way. And the Pistons will use another timeout here. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. We’re in a commercial break right now. Pistons again, a lot of their success this year is going to come back to the health of Jaden Ivy. This is a contract proven year for Jaden Ivy and Jaylen Duran. Two young guys that are supposed to be part of this deep young core that the Pistons are building on with Kade Cunningham. First big move they made was they paid Cade last season, last off season. Rightfully deserved. And now they’re going to have to make a decision on Ivy and Duran. Ivy’s been bothered with injuries so far in his career, but not much playing time between Ivy and Kade. The problem with Ivy is he was a point guard in college with the Purdue Boiler Makers, and Kade is the true point guard on this team. So, it’s gonna come down if if Ivy can develop a consistent three-point shot and move off the ball well without Cade, I feel like he’s going to be a big impact this season. I loved I think Assar Thompson again, you consider the fact the Pistons got screwed in the lottery back-to-back seasons, right, with the two worst records in basketball. And we get Assar Thompson, who again could have gotten Victor, but it’s all right. and Ron Holland in a horrible draft class a couple years ago. That’s one of the worst draft classes I think I’ve ever seen. Ron Holland at five was actually a pretty good piece right there. Um, but I like what JB Bicker Staff is doing, you know. Um, it didn’t really work out well in Cleveland, but JB’s been a solid coach. I was thrilled when the Pistons hired JB. Um, you know, he led us to the playoffs as the six seed last year. I mean, a competitive fought battle between us and the Knicks. Beef Stew got injured in the playoffs last year, and I really believe if Beef Stew was healthy, that series could have gone to seven games. Um, so again, you know, we’re a favorite to make the playoffs this year. So, it’s going to come down to the health of this young core. I mean, if Cade can consistently become an all-star year after year after year, you’re hoping Duran and Ivy and Assar get that going. And uh we’re going to see what happens here. Stop being a boomer and cover the playbyplay, buddy. We’re in a commercial break. We are in a commercial break right now, buddy. Stop being a boomer. You stop being a boomer. Live stream BTC Jamir Gibbs is currently being on the sideline right now. There’s no action in play right now. If you don’t like it, you can get out. Get out. Shameless. Assar on Derek White gets the ball back to Jaylen Brown. Brown tries to make Assar miss. It’s going to be a foul I think on Javvante Green. Yeah, it’s going to be on Javvante Green. Six minutes left to play in the second quarter. All right. All right. You’re done. Get him out of here, PA. Get him out. I gave him a free pass to start and he took a very hard left turn. Get him out. Jaylen Brown connects for three for the Celtics. Three. Three for Jaylen Brown. Sometimes you get these crazies in the chat. Kade to full court here. Back to Tobias. Hower gets it to go. 5243 Celtics. Tobias back to full court. Turns it over and the Celtics steal the way. And a nice penetration dunk from the Celtics here. Kada on the dunk there. Duran drives, penetrates, gets it to the rim off the mark. Jaylen Brown other way. Tobias the only man guarding him. Brown loses it out of bounds. It’s going to be Detroit Piston basketball. Pistons down 11 with 430 left to play in the first half. Clock is moving. Assar drives it. Gets fouled by the Celtics. Assar is going to go back to the free throw line. Love to see the aggression from Assar Thompson moving the ball down here. 4 minutes and 20 seconds left to play in the first half. Assaar, six points, three rebounds so far in the first half. Assar free throw line, first free throw on the way. Assar gets it to go. 5444. Assar going for a second free throw here. Assar fires it and Assar is perfect at the line so far in this game. Pritchard going the other way for the Celtics. Approaching four minutes left to play in the game. Pritchard top of the key. Kada sets the screen. Pritchard avoids it. Gets it back to Jaylen Brown. Green guarding Brown. Brown looking to make a man miss. Brown Assar looking to swipe it. Brown fires up a circus shot. No good. Duran with the rebound. Duran going to full court. Gets it back up to Green. Green looking to drive. And it’s going to be Pistons basketball. Derek White got the block on Green. Kay comes back into the basketball game for the final four minutes of the first half. Gonzalez comes back in for Boston. Javvante Green goes to the bench. Assar looking to drive, penetrates, jump shot. Assar off the miss. Duran with his with the rebound. Duran goes back up and in and one. Jaylen Duran off of a Sarge miss gets it to go and is going to the free throw line. Great play from Jaylen Duran. Duran is only going to get better if he comp if he needs to improve on his defense and he’s going to be a solid center in this NBA. Jaylen Duran all muscle on that play by the big man. Eight points, nine boards from Jaylen Duran tonight in the first half. Duran looking for the free throw attempt. Duran gets it to go. Duran was one of our best free throw shooters last year, surprisingly. Pistons down six. 330 left to play in the first half. Simons gets it back to Kada. Kada looks it for a wideopen Derek White and to and it’s blocked by Kade Cunningham. Derek White had a wideopen layup and Kate out of nowhere blocked that basketball. Duran trapped in the corner and Duran throws it away and Duran gets a huge block on the other end. What a sequence of events. Duran blocks it, fires it away, turns it over, comes back and blocks Gonzalez. It’s going to be Celtics basketball, but what a crazy weird turn of events. Cade blocks it, tries to get it up the court to a Duran. Then Duran turns it over. Duran comes back and blocks Gonzalez. Pritchard looking to make a man miss. Garza top of the three. Three-pointer. No good. Off the mark. As a trying to get the board and that’s going to be Pistons basketball off of Anthony Simons. Three minutes left to play in the first half. K trying to get this basketball in. It’s going to be a 5-second Oh, they’re going to barely call a timeout from the Pistons. Yeah, that was really close to a 5-second violation to get the inbound in. Pistons take a timeout once again. Pistons cut the deficit back down to six here as we are approaching the end of the first half. [Music] So we are in a commercial break. Pistons looking to possibly tie this ball game before the half ends. Maybe go on a little bit of a run here. Celtics went off on a rampage to start this game. Pistons were down 12 to2. Things weren’t looking good and Pistons put together a little rally led by Tobias a star. Jaylen Durren putting together productive minutes. Ron Holland’s been great so far for us this year. I love Ron Holland. He doesn’t back down to nobody. He’s got a little jump shot going. He plays defense. Considering, like I said, we got screwed in the lottery a couple years ago. That was not a bad um not a bad pick at all. It’s funny how literally this entire core was built by Troy Weaver and Weaver was like a horrible GM, but it just did not work out. And then Monty Williams, that whole disaster happened. Then we get rid of Troy and Monty Williams. We bring in JB Bicker staff, hire Trajan Langden to run the show. Traan uh drafts Ron Holland. He took Chaz Laneir this year, the guard out of Tennessee in the second round. Laneir is actually getting some decent minutes for us so far. So, I’m liking the development of this score. I mean, this is a team that um we went on like a 26-game losing streak two years ago, and now you’re considering the Pistons to be a productive contender for the playoffs year in and year out. What’s up, Lys? How you doing, dude? What’s going on? Detroit basketball. George Blaha, the play-by-play announcer for the Pistons. his 50th season. That’s crazy, man. JB did a nice little speech to him for his team the other day towards Blaha’s direction. Pistons down six. Couple minutes left to play before the half is over. Picker staff, one of nine coaches in the NBA with 300 wins or more. That’s actually nuts. 78th coach in NBA history to to ever reach that feat. You think about how many coaches have coached the NBA and that’s crazy. Bean, what’s going on, buddy? Appreciate you being here, dude. Cade going to the rim off the mark. Pritchard with the rebound. Yeah, dude. Um, I got a couple Celtics fans. Uh, I went to actually Fenway Park a couple years ago to watch a baseball game. Boston’s a great sports town. Pritchard gets it back to Derek White. Derek White for three off the mark. Assar with the board. Appreciate you stopping in. Uh Bean or or or B neb. Appreciate you stopping in. I’m so sorry if I’m butchering your guys’ names. Sometimes if I’m not sure, I just spell it out. Ben Ben Bean GL BO9. Yeah, it sucks what happened with Tatum. I mean, like I never want guys to get injured regardless of who it is. You never want to see it in in sports. Um but I mean like if the I mean the Celtics should make the playoffs. I I would be shocked if they didn’t. I don’t know when Tatum’s supposed to return. I would imagine late in the season this year. Uh, but they don’t know what his progress is going to be like by the time he gets back. So, what’s up, Frank? How you doing, dude? Good to see you, man. Three, four seed, keep going and develop into the playoffs. Yeah, like I feel like we have the capability of doing that. It’s going to come down to the health of this young core. Kate Cunningham has to lead the way. He’s got to be a consistent all-star, which he’s again, he if he’s healthy, he probably should be. And then it’s a giant question mark with Ivy. When Ivy returns, can he make a huge step forward? I believe he can. Derek White for three. No good. Assar with the rebound. Assar going the other way, looking to make something happen. Trying to make a man miss. Dishes it out to Tobias. Tobias for three. Tobias is good for three. We got a three-point basketball game with two minutes left to play in the first half. think we make the play in. Kind of hope doesn’t come back till next year, right? It’s like you guys already won your championship with Tatum in your core already. It’s like if you’re an eight seed, there’s no really a big reason to rush him this year. Just let him rest and develop. Same with like with the Pacers and um Hallebertton. Like Hallebertton’s a great player. It sucks that the Pacers lost Hallebertton for the whole season, but um yeah, I was rooting for the Pacers to win that series last year. They came up short to uh the Thunder, so kind of crazy. Um but yeah, it’s my first ever playby-play broadcast for any basketball game. I usually do Piston or uh Lions games, Thursday night football games. Um, what I like about basketball though is it’s a constant like scoring fiesta feast, but this is a highscoring first first half. I would agree. Uh, Brandon, what’s up Brandon? How you doing, dude? So, like I said, if you guys are new, like and subscribe. I’m a huge Detroit fan. So, Pistons, Red Wings, Lions, Tigers. We did the ALDS for the Tigers. Um, and yeah, like I said, whenever I can try to do the Lions games, but surprised how many people are tuning in for this game so far. So, I appreciate you guys tuning in. I’m going to try and do Pistons game when whenever I can. The next one I think I’ll be doing is next Saturday. That’s a Mexico game. We play the Mavericks uh next Saturday. So, I think we’re going to uh do that game as well. It’ll be a late night stream. Zeke in the house. Jaylen Brown gets the dish, fires it to the corner, gets it back to Pritchard. Pritchard for three. Pritchard’s off the mark. Kate with the board. Isaiah helps him out. Cade to full court here. Kade looking to fire from three. Kade from three. Downtown. That ball is in and good. And the Pistons tie this ball game up. A minute and 30 seconds left to play in the first half. 110 run from the Stones. Jaylen Brown ends that deficit. Cade gets the board back in. Gets it to Assar. Assaar with a huge slam. Assaar looking for a foul. He’s not going to get it. Celtics come flying back down the floor. Pressure to the top of the key. White looking to get his guys going here. Jaylen Brown to Whites right. Brown trying to set the screen. White gets it back to Brown. Brown guarded by Beef Stew. Brown looking to penetrate. Drives and looks like he’s going to get fouled by Beef Stew. And Jaylen Brown’s going to the line. Just under a minute left to play in the first half here. Um, yeah. I mean, I’m like I Ivy’s gonna make the difference between like Pistons being a playoff team versus a contending team. Like I love Assar’s development and his growth. Ron Holland, I think, is going to be a huge player off the bench for us. Um, Malik Beasley, that was a huge loss. You know, I don’t know if he’s going to come back or if he’s going to remain out the year. I don’t know what’s going to happen with Malik Beasley, but Duncan Robinson, Carris Levert trying to fill that hole for the three-point percentage, but I don’t that’s going to be a that’s a tough tough task for them. Um Jaylen Brown 22 points in the first half already. Two boards, four for six from three. Jaylen Brown second free throw on the way. It is up and in. 58 to 56. Under a minute left to play in the first half. Kade gets it back to Duncan Robinson. Duncan Robinson fires and hits it. Speak of the devil. Duncan Robinson. That’s his first three of the game. Pistons take their first lead of the game here thanks to that Duncan Robinson three. Jaylen Brown up the court. Fires from three. Jaylen Brown deep three off the mark. And Tobias gets the rebound. Gets it back to Assar. Asar to fullourt. Assaar gets it back to Duncan Robinson. Duncan gets it back to Assar. Assar looking to set up the play here. Assaar coming off the screen from Duncan. Assaar looking one-on-one ISO. Beef Steu coming to help him out. Set the screen. Assar looking to make a man miss on Hower. Assar dribbling, driving, penetrating, pull up, jump shot off the mark. And it’s going to be a loose ball foul going against the Celtics. 11 seconds left remaining in the first half. It’s going to be Pistons basketball. They’re in the bonus. So, Beef Stew, I believe, is going to take this at the line. Beef Stew is at the line. Beef Stew is so awesome. Like, he has no athleticism whatsoever, but he just will not back down to anybody. Beef Stew gets the first free throw. I mean, he beat up LeBron. You guys remember that? Like a couple years ago, like LeBron and Isaiah Stewart got in that whole scuffle. Kate had to literally hold him back. He was like running through our whole freaking coaching staff just to get to LeBron. And ever since, uh, Beef Stew’s been my favorite. Beef Stew off the mark. No good for the second free throw. White penetrating, no good. Two seconds left to play. And that’s going to take us to the end of the first half here. Pistons up 60- 58. And we got a interesting ball game going into halftime right here, man. Um Detroit’s going to uh K Cunningham. What’s going on? Pash P Ah, what’s going on? Um Nikk Threeley. Yeah, I mean Beasley was like he was a huge reason why the Pistons got the six seed last year. I I mean he’s been working out, but there’s been no signs of him like rejoining the NBA right now. He’s still under investigation. Like he got cleared federally, I think, but the NBA is still looking into it. Um Beefs do nine points and three boards at halftime. You just got a nice young group of guys that kind of have a chip on their shoulder and they’re just trying to mesh well through this offense. But I think JB Bickerstaff has taken a tremendous job getting these young group of guys to play well and get with what they’re best good at. You know, Assar is a great defender. He’s been helping us out tremendously. Ron Holland is a spark of energy off the bench. We know what Kate Cunningham is. We’re waiting to hear back from Jaden Ivy. Like Jaden Ivy, if he needs to take a second huge major step if we want to give him this giant contract, but he’s been injured the whole time, so it’s still a question mark for Ivy. Um Jaylen Durren, I love Duran. He’s super young, but again, his defense has been a big question mark for Jaylen Durren so far. Um, and then Tobias, you know, he’s the uncle on the team, but he’s a stretch four wing, and you need that in the NBA. If you don’t have a stretch four, you’re kind of screwed. Um, I wish Duran could shoot. Beef Stew is slowly working on it. He’s kind of our backup center right now to Duran. But Duran Duran is kind of mimicking a little bit of Andre Drummond his first couple seasons when he was with us where he’s a guy where he’s just going to get a million rebounds. Not the best defender. I think Andre is a little bit of a better defender than Duran is right now, but Duran again still is super young. So, and then again, we’re just we’re waiting on development from guys like Bobby Clintman. Um, Chaz Laneir, we just drafted, you know, um, Dennis Shruder was a guy I really wanted the Pistons to bring back. Shruder was phenomenal for us in the playoffs last year. Paul Reed came up huge down the stretch against the uh, the Rockets a couple days ago. Um, so again, you got a team that isn’t doesn’t really have a lot of big names. I mean, Kade’s the only all-star on this team, but you have a lot of nice young guys that just get after the basketball. So, I mean, it’s going to be tough, but like somebody was saying, three or four seed, it’s going to be tough in the East. You know, you obviously got the Knicks and the Cavs. I mean, besides the Knicks and the Cavs, though, I couldn’t really tell you who the three seed’s going to be. Like, is Philly going to develop with Embiid? I have no idea. You know, Pacers don’t have Hallebertton. Celtics are without Tatum. I mean, if this could be the year where the Pistons, you know, they get out of the first round of the playoffs if they stay healthy. I mean, I’m looking at the East right now. You got you got Milwaukee, Milwaukee, New York, and Cleveland are the and Orlando. Those are like four teams that I feel like are a little bit better than the Pistons right now, but I think the Pistons can can contend with the five or six seed again this year. You know, um Toronto is still young. Again, like I said, Indiana best players hurt. Celtics best players hurt. Magic made a couple big offseason moves. I think Paulo and Fron are legit. They got Desmond Bane now. I mean, Trey Young with the Hawks. We’ll see what happens with that. But um yeah, we’ll see. I mean, I don’t know. It’s it’s just it comes down to literally us staying healthy as a core and leading this team into the playoffs once again. But I don’t see a real threat outside of Milwaukee, New York, and Cleveland. I mean, Chicago, I mean, if Matas Bazoulas develops, he can become maybe something nice. They got Veovich. I mean, I don’t know about Chicago. Um, 76ers again. Can Embiid stay healthy? Who knows? You know, I think Pistons are better than Charlotte right now. I think they’re better than Toronto, Washington, Atlanta, you know. So, I don’t see why the Pistons can’t get the four five seed this year. If we stay healthy, I I don’t I don’t see why we can’t. But again, when Ivy comes back from this injury, we are waiting to see how they mesh together with him and Cade. Because when Ivy had the ball in his hands, he tried to play point when Cade was on the floor. But can Ivy play well off the ball with Cade on the floor still? I don’t know if that can be a consistent pattern. Um, Marcus Sasser I like as our backup point guard. He’s been developing nice. He’s with a he’s out with an injury right now, but when he gets back, I like Marcus Sasser a lot. Um, Dennis Jenkins, I mean, he’s been putting in some solid mans for us the past couple games. Had a huge three yesterday um against the Rockets in the fourth quarter. I mean, 10 for 11 from free throws, 28 boards. We’re out rebounding the Celtics, out assisting them. I mean, we were down 17 at one point in this game, 40% from the three, eight for 19 from three. Um, Duncan Robinson, again, we need like Miami Heat, Duncan Robinson, playoff Duncan Robinson to be on this team consistently. I mean, he’s a career 40% free uh three-point shooter. So, I understand why Tan Langden went out and got him this year because he knew Malik Beasley was going to be gone. Um, but yeah, I I mean it’s it’s going to come down to the health of this team overall. Kade’s got to be an all-star once again, which again, I don’t see why he wouldn’t if he stays healthy. Um, but yeah, that that that New York Knicks series, man. And I mean, we got a couple games and like I really feel like if Beef Stew was healthy in that game when Beef Stew was on the floor for us, especially in game one, Knicks could drive inside offensively against him and then Beef Stew gets injured and the Knicks go on that crazy run. Um, and then we lose game one. Could have easily won both games in New York last year. We split it. come back to Detroit. Um, I mean, yeah, Nicks take over. So, what I’m saying though is the window is kind of open. I mean, for the Stones to make a deep run because, you know, you’re not going to have Hallebertton with the Pacers. Pacers got off the finals appearance. Celtics, I mean, Tatum, I I don’t know how the Celtics are going to operate without Tatum. Magic, I think, are good. I think I think the Magic have a legit chance to go to the finals this year. I I I think Paulo and France and Bane, that’s a legit trio in the East. Um yeah, LaMelo Ball in and the Hornets I’m just not really sold on Miami Heat. Who’s who’s on the Miami Heat? Terry Roier. Okay, so Oh yeah, Simone Fonteio. He’s on the Heat now. Simone. Yeah, I was disappointed with Simone last year. I liked him a lot, but he just couldn’t really develop a consistent three-point shot to really make him worth our while to keep him. Tim Hardway was another player we lost last year. He’s with the Nuggets this year. I mean, Tyler Hero, Bam had a bio, you know, Andrew Wiggins. I forgot he was on the Heat. So, what’s up, Brain? Uh probably about 5 to 10 minutes left in the first half. I would say these halftime shows. I don’t really know what’s going on. I just try to blabble on about nonsense until the second half begins. Jaylen Brown 23 points, four for seven from three in the first half. Tobias Harris been our leading scorer for the Pistons. Tobias Harris we actually traded for from the Magic years ago. And then uh we traded Tobias for Blake Griffin to the to the Clippers and then Tobias we he comes back to Detroit after Philly. Philly did not like Tobias at all. They were not treating him well. But again, you know, if Assar can get a a jump shot going, he is going to be a problem. I mean, he is a terrific defender. He’s one of the most athletic players I think in the NBA right now. You know, he’s averaging 15,5 and five so far in two games, which is great for the type of player Assar is. So, we’ll see. Waiting to kick off the third quarter here, guys. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. 60 to 58 halftime score for the Stones. Yeah, beef stew. Two for two from three. nine points, three rebounds. Javvante Green’s been solid for us. He’s been bouncing around from team to team to team over his career. You got Bucks, Cavs later, Knicks Heat. Sunday games are weird because like usually they’re early games and everybody’s watching the NFL, so not really much is going on other than NFL, but usually most people are watching football today, so it’s like people aren’t really tuning in too much. But I appreciate you guys uh tuning in. What’s up, Fly Guy? How you doing? Top six seeds in the West. You know what? I think the Spur Victor looks phenomenal. Um he he he is unreal. This the the Spurs could legit go far in the West. Like Victor is not human. He’s playing out of his mind. Um top six in the West right now. You got Spurs at one, OKC 2, Warriors three, Memphis 4, Kings five, Utah six. So, I mean, Denver is going to make it in. Lakers are going to make it in. Suns are a disaster. Timberwolves should kind of float back up there. Mavericks should be in the mix. Um, but I think to end the season, you know, no particular order, you’re going to have the Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Thunder, Warriors, and Mavericks. I would say like at the end of the year cuz again the NBA is so is such a star driven league because it’s five on five the whole time. If you don’t have a top 15 player in the NBA, you’re not going to contend for the finals. You’re just not. You just you have to build through the draft, you know, and you don’t want to overspend either because if you overspend on a giant veteran, he gets old he’s injuryprone where you can get draft capital and you hope and pray your draft picks hit. So yeah, Victor’s crazy, Frank. He’s unreal, dude. I mean, I I mean, he has a legit chance to win MVP if he stays healthy. Defensive player of the year, I think, for sure. I mean, there’s just nobody that can just shoot over him. I mean, he’s seven. He’s a 7 foot2 point guard, you know? Yeah, you need two stars. You need a Batman and Robin. Right now for the Pistons, our Batman is Cade. And we’re hoping that Ivy can become Robin, but we’re still waiting to hear that right now. Um, yeah, Victor’s unreal. He’s averaging 35132 and like four blocks a game right now. Six block six blocks a game. Yeah, Spurs are crazy. I mean I mean they they literally got the face of the NBA in in in the lottery at that number one pick. I don’t think there’s been a bigger prospect since LeBron with Victor. May Zion was close but not too shabby man. It’s hard to say brain. Couple minutes left. I couldn’t really tell you. Halftime sometimes goes on for 10 to 15 minutes usually. Yep. JB and Alfred shouldn’t be too much longer here till the second half begins, but we shall uh see what happens. It all comes down to matchups in the playoffs, like who’s going to guard who, who’s going to have the upper edge. But again, you got, you know, two teams that were Eastern Conference Finals favorites as the Celtics and the Pacers and then Tatum and Hallebertton go down. I mean, that’s two giant losses in the East. Uh, second half’s about to begin, guys, shortly. What’s up, Queens? How you doing? Celtics should have made a trade for JB. He isn’t that guy. It’s crazy because like you got two stretch fours with Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum who can both play the point. And I mean, you guys got your ring last year though. I feel like a team would have paid a lot for Jaylen Brown. But again, Celtics didn’t want to part ways with him. So, you know, you’re going to need a guy that can carry the load when Tatum is down, and that’s going to be Jaylen Brown. So, you know, you guys won your title. So, I I but at the same time, I think Jaylen Brown’s price tag would have been crazy high last year. So, we’ll see. Start of the third quarter here. Kade Cunningham with the ball in his hand. Kade looking to drive. Cade left hook and up and in. And the Pistons strike first in the second half. Appreciate you coming in, Fly Guy. Yeah, Kade’s the real deal. I feel like um you know, he’s not the flashiest player in the NBA, but he’s one of the smartest players in the NBA with the basketball. Like he always finds the right guy open. He’s a playmaker. He gets his guys involved. Um and he can just do it all. like he c he can defend, he can score, he can shoot, he can pass, dribble. Every now and then his turnovers do get in question down the stretch. If he can get to the line more, he’s going to be a top five player in the NBA. If if he can get like 10 to 15 free throw attempts per game, um he he’s going to be legit one day. He he his progress, I think, is going to be really solid. But again, he needs his Robin to his Batman. You look at all the MVP winners, they’ve always had a Robin. Uh Peyton Pritchard for three. Good. 62 to 61. Um yeah, I mean Pistons like they’re a fun team to watch. I mean, I went through that whole debacle at 26game losing streak. Cage step back three out in and out of the rim. Close. Peyton Pritchard to full court here. Pritchard looking to make a move. Derek White for three off the mark. Kay with the board. But yeah, Kate’s one of those guys where like he plays complimentary smart basketball. K driving to the rim. He gets fouled and turns it over. Thought it was a foul. It looks like he just turned the basketball over. But again, sometimes he can get a little bit too rambunctious and just kind of turns it over. Pton Pritchard for three. Pritchard off the mark. Jaylen Dur with the rebound. 10 minutes left to play in the third quarter. Tobias has the basketball, gets it up to Duncan Robinson. Duncan Robinson gets fouled as shooting a three. Duncan Robinson is going to go to the line, shoot free three free throws. But um I was hyped. I have a reaction video on my YouTube channel. It was me reacting when we drafted Cade. Me and my friend were freaking out cuz we knew like we could just see the vision with Cade. He he’s he’s he’s a humble guy. He’s not the flashiest guy. He just goes down and puts his he puts his head down and goes to work. He gets his teammates involved and he makes smart plays. Um so Duncan Robinson first free throw good. Second free throw on the way. That one’s good as well. Yeah, Horford and Porzingis. Yeah, that’s those are two big losses too for sure. Um, Schmen, what’s going on, buddy? Thanks for stopping in. Yes, I mean, the Celtics, like, you know, Duncan Robinson misses on the third one. Um, Celtics are one of the greatest franchises ever. So, I I get I get it. There’s a lot of expectations and you guys did win your title two years ago. It sucks what happened with Tatum and now it’s just kind of a development year with some of your younger guys. Derek White for three. I love Derek White. He’s a he’s a beast. Um 6464 for the ball game here. Duncan Robinson gets it back to Kade. Cade top of the key. Kade looking to find his guy. Lobs to Duran and off the mark. Kade was looking for a pushoff foul. Is not going to get it. Derek White passes up to Jaylen Brown. Brown crosses over and it’s going to be a foul on Kade. That’s a questionable foul. It looked like Brown just kind of jumped into Cade. I don’t agree with that call at all, but refs are going to give it to him. Um, yeah, I agree, Frank. I I I think there’s not too many guys like Cade in this league and and not a lot of people know it yet. Like, people think when they look at the Pistons, oh, they got Kade. He’s an all-star. I don’t pe I don’t think people realize how great Kade can be. And he I mean he’s in he’s into his fifth season right now. But if he keeps developing and the re like he broke out last year because of spacing. When we went on that 26game losing streak, there was nobody that could shoot the basketball to save their lives. So Cad’s like wondering, okay, how do I freaking do this if I don’t have shooters on my basketball team? I mean, Buon Bakdanovich was our best player a couple years ago and we were just horrendous. But now Beasley comes and Beasley opens up the floor. Cade plays great. He’s got shooters now on this team. Tobias spots up for three off the mark. Pritchard with the rebound. So, you know, you put shooters around your best player. Look what happens. It’s a miracle. Uh yeah, but spacing is everything for Cade. Pritchard flips it up off the mark. Perch is going to go to the line. Oh, you’re a Knicks fan, dude. Yeah, I got a couple friends of mine that are Knicks fans. That was a good series last year in the first round, dude. That was a really good series. Um, yeah. I mean, Brunson, Cat, Josh Hart, you know, OG. Like, if you take a look at the East right now, it look at how open the East is. You have there’s really three teams that I could see represent the East, right? It’s Cleveland, the Knicks, may maybe Orlando. Um, Pritchard off the mark with his first free throw attempt, but uh, yeah, I mean I mean Celtics, you know, they’re they’re Tatum I don’t think is, you know, they’re not going to be Eastern Conference Finals favorites without Tatum and then Giannis. I mean, it’s it’s Bucks, Knicks, and maybe Orlando, and then a and then a little bit of Cleveland, but there, you know, Knicks, it’s now or never for the Knicks in my opinion. Uh, Assar goes to the rim, gets it to go. Assar Thompson with a beautiful basket. Sorry, Percher made one of his two free throws. My bad. Okay, triple double. Um, Toronto be in the mix. Toronto’s got a nice core up and coming. Um, Jaylen Brown gets it back off to Derek White. Derek White fires for three and that ball is in and good. 6866. Derek White takes the lead for the Celtics. Kade to full court, dishes it off to Assar. Assar dribbling in the paint, gets it up and in with the foul. Assar Thompson gets the dish with the and one and Assar is going back to the free throw line. Knicks only have until 2027 before they go over to second uh apron. Got to blow it up like Boston. Yeah. I mean, you got Brunson that, you know, when he’s on his game, I think Brunson is one of the best players in the postseason. Um, one of the most clutchest I think. I mean, Brunson made a couple huge threes against the Pistons last year that I that broke my heart. Um, I mean, he’s got spacing galore. He’s got shooters around him. I mean, solid defenders. So, uh, we’ll see. Derek White has a technical foul on the play. Kade goes to the line and that’s going to be a SAR that shoots these free throws after Cade. Cade gets it to go. Gets the technical foul. free throw. Charlotte’s playing so poorly. Yeah, I mean I think it’s a it’s a matter of LaMelo Ball trying to stay healthy. LaMelo’s had his injury concerns. Um Miles Bridges uh you know trying to get him going with Brandon Miller with the Hornets there. Um they drafted that kid out of Duke. I forgot what his name is. Uh Assar for the free throw. Assar gets the free throw up and good for the three-point play. 70 to 68. Eight minutes left to play in the third quarter. Derek White with the basketball. Derek White. Foul on the floor. That’s going to be going against Cade and Celtics are going to stay here with the basketball. That looked like a flop on the Celtics. I don’t know about that call, man. Ah, it’s a little weak in my opinion. I don’t know, man. We’ll see. Yeah, I know it’s a ways away, but like you know NBA Finals next year, NBA, there’s not really much going on when the NBA finals is happening in June. So, we’ll probably do NBA Finals in the uh off seasonason when there’s no NFL. Baseball is slow. Really only thing going. K got poked in the eye off that screen. Both the Thompson twins. Yeah, Thompson twins are nice. Amen. And Assar. Um, yeah, both both playing solid. I like Assaar’s development a lot. And Assar, I mean, he missed a lot of his rookie season. So, he’s healthy now. He’s ready to go. Assar with the board. Speaking of Assar, 70 to 68 Pistons. Assar with the basketball, dribbling, trying to find his open man. Assar gets it back to Duran for the easy dish. And Duran gets followed. Duran’s going to go back to the free throw line. If you guys are new to the stream, like and subscribe. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. I’m going to try and do these Pistons games whenever I can. I think the next one will be um this Saturday against the Mavericks. So, six days away from now, we’re going to be in Mexico for that game. So, looking forward to that. Jaylen Dur first free throw on the way. That ball is in and good. Three-point lead for the Pistons right now. Under eight minutes left to play in the third quarter. 10 points, 10 boards, four for four from the free throw line for Jaylen Duran here. Piston 71, Celtics 68. Dur looking for his second free throw on the way and in. Dur’s been automatic from the free throw line. He was one of our best free throw shooters last year, too, dude. Pistons by four. White for three. Off the mark. B. Dur with the rebound. Duran gets it back to Cade. Cade penetrating, driving all the way to the rim. Gets it. Oh, he turns it over. He’s trying to find a SAR for the for the uh assist. Pritchard for three. Off the mark. Duran with the board. Back to the Tobias. Tobias to fullourt. Tobias looking to find his man. He’s got Duran. Duran gets it back to Tobias. Robinson with the basketball. Robinson top of the key. Robinson gets it to Tobias. Tobias nearly turned it over. Tobias on Pritchard. Mismatch right there. Gets it back to Cade. Kade looking to drive. Gets it to Assar. 3 seconds on the shot clock. Duran up with the slam and in. Great ball movement all around from the Pistons. Finding an open Jaylen Duran under the basket and the Pistons take a six-point lead heading into another commercial break. Seven minutes left to play in the third quarter. Great ball movement from Cade to Assar back to Tobias and Duran just kind of hanging out waiting for the basketball. Crazy. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. We’re in a commercial break right now. Pistons and Celtics. Sunday afternoon. No Lions game. Lions are on a by-week this week. So, I’m doing my first ever playbyplay broadcast. Let me know how I’m doing. Scale 1 to 10. One being uh bad, 10 being extremely bad. Shout out to my friend CWA. You got the six scoreboards set up. It’s cool. You got like the whole like professional animations too, like back and forth. I can do the timeouts. Like I I can add timeouts here. I can take them off. I can change the uh the colors of the score. Like I can have it be Pistons red, Celtics green. Um yeah, shout out CWA. He’s been doing a great job. 100. Perfect. Yeah. Uh, you know, it’s like I think I’m the most knowledgeable when it comes to NBA, NFL probably the second most and then MLB and then hockey. I try to be a Red Wings fan. I am a Red Wings fan, but I very I know very little about hockey. Um, but hockeyy’s really fun to watch though. So, just been kind of crazy out of control. Who’s been playing better? I think the Pistons have been playing better so far in this game. I mean, the Celtics got off to a nice start. Pistons were down 17 earlier. Um, but like Brandon was saying, when Anthony Simons was out on the floor for the Celtics, Pistons had no answer for him. So, if I’m the Celtics, I would get Simons back on the basketball game. Appreciate you stopping in. Uh, core blind. I went to a boxing match once and a hockey game broke out. Uh, good deal. But yeah, you know, Tom Gore is owner of the Pistons. He really wants this thing to work out. I mean, he was a, you know, horrific owner the past couple of years. Had that 26game losing streak. Paid Monty Williams all that money. Basically let Monty Williams go. Had to eat that entire contract um just to let him go. He get JB Bickerstaff in. Um but again, you know, like you gota you got to perform here. players don’t perform, you know, they’re going to point it back to management. So, we’ll see. All right, seven minutes left to play in the third quarter here. Jaylen Brown with the basketball gets it to go for a mid-range jump shot. 7470 for the Celtics. K with the basketball, gets to half court. Kade looking to make a man miss. Cade gets a screen from Duncan Robinson. Kade driving to the rim. Cade going all the way to the rim and that ball goes up and in. Cade with a nice layup to give the Pistons another six-point lead. Jaylen Brown dishes it to Pritchard. Pritchard keeps it in bounds. Jenkins on Pritchard. Pritchard and nice defense from Duran to swat that one away. Kate with the basketball. K with it back to Duncan Robinson. Duncan looking to shoot. Duncan drives, passes it back out to Tobias. Kade with the basketball. Kade. Oh, tried to get to Duran for a lob and just missed on the connection. Dur’s going to go back to the free throw line, though. Kade and Dur have been working a lot on that lob together, that two dual threat lob connection over the years. It’s been working out really tremendously for the uh the the the Pistons so far. So, we’ll see. Appreciate you guys all tuning in, man. Like and subscribe. If you guys are new here, welcome. Appreciate you all tuning in. Um, yeah. So, like I said, I’m going to try and do Pistons games whenever I can. We do the Thursday night football games as well. Six minutes left to play in the third quarter. What’s up, CWA? Yeah, we’re just telling people about your scoreboard you made. I’m using it for the first time on basketball. Looks pretty sick. I can change the uh the colors and everything. Add the the the scoreboard. I’ve been having to work a lot because it’s basketball because it’s crazy viewer. It’s crazy uh points back and forth. Yeah. No, I as soon as we hired JB, uh Frank, I was ecstatic. I mean, JB literally took the Cavs to the two seed, I think, and was fired. I don’t understand why they let him go. Um, but he’s been a great coach. He’s been in the NBA for so many years. He knows what he’s doing. He’s been doing a great job meshing this entire young core together. Um, JB’s been a beast for us so far. Yeah, they have been really good gamefly guy, especially like um the the first couple games on NBC Peacock. They got NBC Peacock. Amazon Prime now is getting in the mix of things. Um, so yeah, NBA is interesting. You know, I I think it was better when Jordan, Bird, and Magic were all playing, but you know, they’re trying to make it less I don’t know what the word is. Um, lazier, if that makes sense. It just feels like today’s game is everybody just chucks up threes. But I don’t know. when you have when 80s and 90s NBA I think was that was prime basketball. Now it’s it’s all right. But oh yeah, so easier CWA. Oh yeah, so easier. You just click a button instead of like, oh, I got to change the score. I got to delete it. Put it back in. No, it’s it’s way easier. Tatum’s out at least March with the torn Achilles. Hallebertton expected to miss the season with the right Achilles. Yeah. Horford, Porzingis, Drew Holidayiday all left the Celtics. Miles Turner, Bryant departed from the Pacers. It’s just crazy how many guys get on the move very quickly. Um, two teams that were contenders in the East and just Corores are better. Corores were uh just stripped away. 70s are better. Yeah, I don’t know. It’s it’s it’s just different eras of basketball throughout the years where players played now it’s more the whistles get involved and I don’t know the physicality athleticism has gone up but the physicality has declined over the years in in my opinion. Um, so I mean you look at the bad boys, right? 8990 Pistons. Those guys didn’t give a crap. They freaking went at you. They didn’t care who stood in their way. They were elbowing, fist fights, breaking out. They were just common fouls. They let the players play, you know, freak. Even like the All-Star games back then, you watch like a Michael Jordan 90s All-Star game, those guys played that game, you know. Now it’s like, “Oh, let’s just all stand around in our shorts and just jack up threes all day.” Nobody plays defense. It’s like, come on. Yeah. Jordan broke the league, but the new rules and players contract makes him more team centric. That’s fair. Yeah. It’s cool that Jordan is on the NBC like broadcast. They like they I guess they did like an hour and a half long interview and they’re going to split it up over the season. Um but yeah, it’s cool they got Jordan. I mean NBC was really cool. Um that was a big network for a lot of the games, you know, two, three decades ago and they’re starting to bring it back now. They got Amazon on Prime. So I mean Adam Silver is trying to do a lot for the NBA. You know, the All-Star game is is still I don’t care for the All-Star game because it’s just there’s no competitiveness in it. It’s just more of like a participation trophy for the guys that go there. So, it’s I don’t know. We got a commercial break right now. Pistons up six 76 to 70. Look at I think somebody broke the net. So, they’re trying to fix the net right now. That’s why we’re in a delay. All right, Boston is going to come back. They need to get Anthony Simons out on the floor. Celtics were tearing up the Pistons when Simons was out on the court. So, 6 minutes left to play in the third quarter. [Music] Paul Reed’s been a beast for us. They should use Paul Reed more minutes. give Dur and Stew some rest a little bit here and there. Yeah, it is pretty pitiful. I mean, like Yeah, it’s it’s cool. But ever since they got rid of like East versus West and now it’s like LeBron versus KD, you know, they draft their teams, you know, the the coolest part was when they actually all wore their individual team jerseys. You know, that was that was super cool. And now it’s, you know, the I I will say though that something that they did add was they’re going to put the um the Larry O’Brien trophy like on the center court now. You know how it used to be huge in the middle of center court? They’re gonna bring that back, too. What’s up, Mafia? JB needs to become SGA. We need free throws to win this game. Yeah, I mean, you guys got to get Simons back out there. I love Anthony Simons when you guys put him out on the floor here. I mean, the Pistons couldn’t stop him. He’s been a huge threat for you guys. That was a great addition to your team. So, still in a uh timeout right now. It looks like they’re trying to fix this net. I guess when Duran went up for that lob, it looks like he completely like ripped off the netting of the rim. So, they’re trying to add a new net right now. Yeah, they’re trying to fix a netting issue. They had to completely rip the whole net off and they had to have a whole crew come out there and put a new net on the rim. That’s what’s taking so long right now. Kansas gamer. They need to put in the repellent magnet. Yeah, they always got to have backup nets. How many You think they have a backup backboard, too? Like, do you think somebody can break a backboard now? I mean, I know Shaq was breaking backboards back then, but I don’t know if it’s as easy to break a backboard as it once was. Somebody just completely hammers on the rim. And I I think I think technology’s gotten to the point where I don’t think it’s going to be a problem anymore. How many technical difficulties are rolling in? Right. Exactly. Appreciate you guys all tuning in though. Like and subscribe if you guys are new. We’re going to try and do these Pistons games whenever we can. Um like I said, next one I’ll try to fit a couple in here throughout the week. I think the next one that I will for sure be available for is um Pistons and Mavericks next Saturday. That’s a Mexico game. That’s a 10 p.m. Eastern next week. They’re still trying to fix this net. Shaq would still be able to have like a competition. Who can break a backboard the fastest? It felt like the biggest guys out there. You think Adam Silver is going to drag M. McClung back to the dunk contest again? Guys in the GLeague and they only use him for the dunk contest and then they put him back in the G- League. Max said he was done though. Mac’s awesome. There’s a guy named Cohen Carr though, Michigan State. You watch out. When he when he goes to the NBA next year, he is going to put on a show. I think he’s one of the most athletic dudes in the whole country. He’s got like one of the highest verticals. If you guys don’t know him, Cohen Carr. C O N C A R R. Look up his highlight mixtape and he is he’s insane. He’s crazy, dude. Um Eddie Hall would first go would shatter if he could jump. Uh they’re still trying to fix this freaking net right now. That’s what the delay is right now. Duran went up for a lob from Cade and he like completely took off the whole netting of the rim. So, they’re waiting to fix the net still and the players are getting a shoot around on the new net just to make sure it’s like fitted on there. Sports Science proved it was impossible to break a modern backboard. Yeah, Sports Science was such a good show. So, Pistons up six. Six minutes left to play in the third quarter. This is the world’s longest fixing net timeout I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t know why. I don’t know why we haven’t played basketball yet. They’re still trying to fix this rim right now. Yeah, they made a G-League win a three-time dunk winner and then decided to scrap the dunk contest. He like here like the problem is is there are like I would total like the dunk contest there isn’t many active NBA dunkers that can put on a legit show like Aaron Gordon versus Zack Lavine. You are not going to be able to ever top that ever again. By the way, Aaron Gordon for the record got robbed not once but twice in a row from Zack Lavine. Just to make that very clear. Um, but it’s like not many guys want to do it. And then when you do have the guys that want to do it during make off the rim with the first free throw, um, when you do want to have guys who want to participate in the dunk contest, you’re looking at like bench players, if not G-Leaguers that come in and and try to put on a show. So, it’s it’s it’s it’s a little interesting. Mafia’s in the building for the prop bet. Duran second free throw on the way. 7770 Pistons. 6 minutes left to play in the third quarter. We’re back in action. Anthony Simons back on the floor for the Celtics. Garza with the basketball. Luca Garza. I love that man. What a beast. Jaylen Brown gets the ball, fires off the rim. He’s going to go back to the free throw line though. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. Welcome to the live stream. Hopefully you guys are doing fantastic. Like and subscribe if you guys are new. We’re going to try to do these basketball Pistons games whenever we can, whenever we’re free. I think the next ones we’re going to do is probably next Saturday against the Mavericks. Jaylen Brown 25 points, four assists. Misses the first one. Still 7770 ball game. This is shaping out to be a pretty good finale. I think there’s a banana man behind the backboard trying to distract Jaylen Brown. Brown for the second free throw gets it to go. 7771. Brown’s got 26 points. Kade to fullourt. Percher guarding Cade. Cade fires it to Duran. Garza on Duran. Duran uses a duck and Robinson screen. Duran spins and he gets fouled by Garza. Dur’s going back to the free throw line. That’s three on Luca Garza. Luca Garza, what a freaking beast. Smooth savvy. Let me find that out for you, dude. Uh, beef stew currently has Jaylen Darn. First free throw on the way is good. 7871 Pistons. I guess it doesn’t tell you how many fouls he has. I I thought ESPN told you how many fouls a player has. I guess not. I think Stewart has like three. I want to say three. During second free throw on the way is good. Pistons take an eight-point lead here. 7971. Luca Garza at the top of the key here. Brown with the ball. Brown looking to make a man miss. Hower sets the screen. Brown coming off the screen for three. Jaylen Brown hits a big three to cut the deficit to five. Appreciate you, Smooth. Thank you, dude. Dennis Jenkins to fullourt. Jenkins driving, hooks it back to Duran for the lob and the slam. Dennis Jenkins puts together an impressive lob to find Duran for the slam. And Pistons take a seven-point lead again. Jaylen Brown fires it off to Hower. Back to Pritchard. Top of the key. Pritchard makes a man miss. Back to Brown. Brown penetrates. Jump shot is off the rim. Tobias gets the rebound. Back to Assar. Assar gets it back to Tobias. Tobias looking to penetrate. Looking for another lob to Duran. And Duran gets fouled again. Pistons are both teams are in the bonus. So Dur’s going to go back to the free throw line. Fourth foul on Luca Garza. Pistons up seven. Just under five minutes left to play in the third quarter. Duran back at the free throw line. Duran knocks down the first one. Jaylen Durren looking for the second free throw here. Gets it to go. Luca Garza reeks. Luca Garza. Simon to fullcourt looking for a dish here. Looks like my broadcast on FanDuel is like having technical difficulties. I can’t freaking see the game right now. I can hear George Blaha, but I can’t see the freaking game. There we go. Tobias in the corner off the mark. Another loose ball foul going against the Celtics on Anthony Simons. Yeah, Simon’s got a back block in the back foul on Duran. Duran’s going back to the free throw line. What’s up, Gerard? How you doing, dude? Duran at the free throw line. Duran connects for the first one. 8474. Pistons lead up by 10. Pistons were down 17 at one point in this game. Duran second free throw on the way is good. 8574 Duran perfect for the line. Jaylen Duran 21 points 13 rebounds. If you see the game, the Celtics might burn your eyes out. They’re having a good time. Jaylen Brown with the basketball. Brown looking to fire. Stolen away by Assar. Assar to fullourt to Ron Holland. Ron Holland gets it back to Jenkins. Jenkins fires to Tobias. Tobias gets it back to Holland. Holland up for a dish and one. Count the foul and the bucket. Ron Holland gets a huge basket for the Stones. He’s going to the free throw line. No Horford, no Porzingis, no Tatum, no Threeleaf Clover. Great job from the Pistons moving the ball around. Gets it back to Ron Holland. Ron Holland’s been putting together some solid minutes. I love Ron Holland, dude. He’s been playing great for us the past couple games to start the year. Holland to the free throw line. Pistons up by 13. make that 14 with a added free throw from Ron Holland. Pistons on a 90-0 run the last minute and a half to play. Simons against Jenkins gets it back to Jaylen Brown. Tobias on Brown. Brown gets it back to Simons and it’s going to be a foul looks like on Dennis Jenkins. Jaylen Brown’s going to go back to the free throw line. So Dur’s been really solid so far for the sell for the uh Pistons in this game. Trying to keep a PG in the chat here, guys. Jaylen Brown, six career, 30-point game versus Detroit. What was uh Brown’s over under today? Skate. What for for points? Like I’m going to say what 25. Beef stew in the corner for three. Backs out. jumper misses off the rim. There’s 25. Pistons have a 12point lead. Timeout. Commercial break on the way. Again though, you can’t get comfortable with like a 10 12point lead. You’re going to watch [ __ ] wrestling. Oh man. appreciate you coming in, Skate. Yeah, man. Like, you know, I mean, I saw the Pistons go on a 26 game losing streak a couple years ago. I mean, that was absolutely abysmal. Everybody was saying, “Sell the team. Team’s over with. This franchise sucks. Got to get a new owner.” Um, Trajan Lightning comes in, hire a new coaching staff, somehow get to the playoffs as the six seed. And uh it’s it’s been crazy the past couple years the turnaround the Pistons have made um in such very little time. You know, Ron Holland’s been playing great. Assar Thompson, those are the two picks after um that 26 game losing streak season. So again, it’s a matter of your core has to stay healthy and you need to develop your draft picks because if you go out and spend too much in free agency or you give up a ton of draft picks, you’re going to you got to you better win it all or you’re going to be putting your franchise back a long time. Yeah. Draft picks. Seriously. I mean, Tatum, Brown, I mean, you look at every team that’s won it all in the past what, 15 to 20 years, all built through the draft, minus that Miami Heat team with like LeBron and Chris Bosch, but I mean, you draft your superstars to the draft. But again, the the whole lottery is very broken, though. Explain to me how the Dallas Mavericks get Cooper flag. That is beyond questionable to the fullest extent. I I don’t care what anybody says. They had some handshake deal made to where when they traded Anthony Davis for Luca Donic, they, you know, they get Cooper flag out of it. I don’t know. All I’m saying is that’s there’s something fishy going on. The lottery system itself is very broken in the NBA. It’s it’s very bad. I don’t know what the resolution is, but there’s no way the Maverick should have gotten Cooper flag. There’s there’s zero reason for that. You know, it’s there’s just I don’t I’m not buying it. Jaylen Brown going for his free throws here. Celtics down 68 7688. Jaylen Brown gets the first one to fall. Jaylen Brown misses the second one. So, Pistons up 11 with three minutes left to play in the third quarter. Cade with the basketball. Dishes it to Ron Holland. Ron back to Cade. Cade top of the three. Cade looking. Trump shot good on the way. Cade with the basket. 90 to 77 Pistons. 313. What’s up, Blind Date? Thanks for being here. Um, Kate with 15.7 assists. Simons with the basketball. Gets it to fall with a nice little floater jumper. Celtics down 11. Two minutes left to play in the third quarter. Kade with the basketball. Cade looking driving with the layup and gets it to go. I mean, that’s just it, Skate. Like, that’s why Beasley was so great for us is because you could put him in in any rotation. He could just knock down threes. Duncan, you’re going to try and start him, but I don’t know what he’s going to bring for the Stones this year, dude. We’ll see. I mean, he’s a 40% career three-point shooter, but I miss Beasley a lot. Um Cade Stewart gives him a screen. Kade trying to use it. Kade driving gets it back to Asar. Assaar gets it to Ron Holland. Ron Holland thought about the three. Ron Holland tried to make Derek White miss. Ron gets it back to Asar for three. Shot clock was running down. He had to get rid of it. Derek White with the board. Jaylen Brown goes at Beef Stew with the quick deuce. 9281 Pistons. One minute left to play in the third quarter. Jaylen Brown 34 points, four assists. Beef stew to Assar. Jenkins back to Holland. Holland for three. Off the mark. It’s going to be Celtics basketball going the other way. Appreciate you guys all tuning in. Like and subscribe if you guys are new. 51 seconds left to play in the third quarter. K goes to the bench. Both teams still in the bonus. All he has is the refs. Derek White with the basketball. Derek White loses it. Assar gets it back to Ron Holland. Ron Holland with the slam. Ron Holland big basket. 9481. Pistons up 13 with 30 seconds left to play in the third quarter. Home opener. Detroit’s going nuts. LCA on fire. Piston’s done 17 at one point in this game. Derek White looking to score. Beef stew with the block. Not in Beef Stewart’s house at all. Assar with the basketball. Four, three, two. Assar. Terrible possession to end the third quarter. just throws it out of bounds. And the Pistons take a 13-point lead at the end of the third quarter going to the fourth. Yeah, they’re out rebounding the Celtics like crazy. Pistons 39 board, Celtics 24. I mean, this is Detroit basketball. JB’s installing it into these guys left and right. Play defense, run the floor, grab the boards. You love to see it. Thanks, Blind Date. Appreciate you. Pistons up 9481. Pistons got the Cavaliers tomorrow at home. So, they’re going to go into the fourth quarter here. Celtics down 13. I will say this though, I was out um down at Boston a couple years ago. Boston’s a nice city. I went to go see a Tiger game at Fenway Park, sat on the Green Monster and everything. Boston does not mess around with their sports teams, dude. They are one of the most passionate fan bases probably in the country. Celtics, Bruins, they got the Patriots, Red Sox need K 25 points. What is uh Kade at right now? Kade is at um Kade’s at 17. It’s just weird with Kade. Like again, he he’s more of a team. He’s more of a teammate first kind of guy. Like if if he’s open, he’ll take the shot, but he’s always looking first to find his teammates. So again, he’s not going to be the craziest flashiest scorer, but he does play smart basketball. About to start the fourth quarter here. Jaylen Brown has 34 points, four assists, three boards in this game. Two boards in this game. Jaylen Duran 22 and 13. Cade 177 and three. Assaar 152 and 8. Tobias 142 and six. Duckan Robinson five points. Like I just I need him to be better than that. I don’t know. Start of the fourth quarter here. Derek White with the basketball. Gets it back to Anthony Simons. Simons looking to make a man miss. Simons with the basketball. Top of the key. Simons fires. Jump shot on the way. Misses. Cade with the rebound. Kade up and away off the glass. Beef stew. K gets fouled. He’s going to go to the line. So Kade is going to go back to the free throw line here trying to knock down these free throws. K gets the first one to go. 9581 Pistons. Okay, get the second one to go. 9681. Kate had some big time free throws a couple days ago against the Rockets. Kada with the basketball at the top of the key. Kada looking to find one of his guards. Kada eventually gets to Derek White. Derek White fires for three. Off the mark. It’s going to stay here for Boston. Jade Ivy looking on from the bench trying to get healthy as soon as possible. White gets it in. Anthony Simons for three. Off the mark. Derek White gets the rebound. Puts it back in for the Celtics. 9683. Cade turns it over. Celtics get a big possession. Gets it back to Celtics and it’s going to be a blocking foul on Ron Holland. It’s also going to go back to the free throw line. I don’t know about that call on Holland. Looked like he had his feet set outside the circle. I don’t know. Pistons no challenge. Josh Manat with the first free throw. Good. Man going for his second free throw on the way. And it is good. 11-point game. 10 minutes and 30 seconds left to play in the first or yeah in the game. Fourth quarter. Jenkins the full core. Jenkins looking to get the goal. Cade. Kade has the ball at the top of the key. Hower on Cade. Beef Stew trying to set a screen for Cade. Cade gets it back to Stewart. Stewart gets it back to Javvante Green. Gets blocked. Stewart up with it. Can’t get it. Gets his own rebound. passes it back out to Holland. You know, we’re banking on Jaden Ivy, him coming back. He’s got to become the Robin Decades Batman. And uh it’s going to come down to health down the stretch. Djan wants to build the young guys. Yeah. No, I agree 100%. Like build through the draft and keep your young core. Um 1,000%. There’s no need to like trade a bunch of draft assets for a 30year-old plus veteran. Like just keep building with your young core. No reason to uh get crazy. And it’s crazy how Troy Weaver literally built this team and Tanjan Langden kind of stepped into a good situation with Cade. He did draft Ron Holland, Chaz Laneir, Bobby Clintman. Um but most of this team was from uh Troy Weaver in terms of the draft core from it with Duran, Assar, Cade, Ivy had Duran 25 or more for 100. There you go. Nice. Game’s pretty much over, guys. Pistons are going to win this one. It’s a matter of late free throws of three seconds left just to get the score official here. But appreciate you guys all tuning in, man. You can always flip second rounders um for either like a vet or a nice player. Um Pistons still have a lot of cap space available, too. So, if they did want to make, you know, another big, we’re going to see what happens with the trade deadline in February. So, this game’s over, guys. There’s 3 seconds left to play. They’re trying to figure out this foul call right now. I believe Duncan Robinson’s going to shoot these free throws, but this game’s practically over. 3 seconds left to play in regulation. But during player of the game, I think today so far he had a monster game. 24 points, 17 boards, two blocks. Pistons were down 17 at one point in this game. This game is over. I don’t know what they’re looking at. If the refs are looking at the time perhaps, but this game is over. Pistons are up six. There’s like 5 seconds left to play and it’s Pistons basketball. Not enough time for the Celtics, right? Exactly. With Ivy’s health for sure, dude. Yeah, I’m hoping Ivy can take that huge step. I mean, it is a contract year for both Duran and Ivy. I think you keep both guys, but it’s a matter of how much we’re going to pay Ivy is a question mark because he just hasn’t been healthy enough to sustain a full season yet. So, we’ll see. Trying to get a clock situ situation figured out. Referees are looking at it just to make it official. Of course, they got to milk every last second out, right? 3.8 on the game clock. They added a tenth of a second back. That was that whole uh hold up. This is going to inbound this basketball and they’re going to take this game home. And that’s it.
