Everyone I know is calling him Bill Cool now by the way.
With Bilal back, we have three great defenders out of 15. OKC has 10-11 of these guys and they rotate them in waves.
In other words, Dawkins has a looong way to go with this roster before we can resemble any OKC lite comparisons. We have the mustard seeds of that type of team though with Coulibaly-George-Sarr
Obviously too early to understand what this trios ceiling is, but I am feeling much more confident the floor is closer to second round playoff team than I was two weeks ago, which feels like an amazing place to be.
bilal ky sarr have such monster potential defensively, seeing the flashes last night were fun
Bilal Coulibaly as the primary defender last night:
• Thunder: 1-9 FG (0-2 3pt)
• 3 blocks
• 1 steal
• 1 forced turnover
I’m starting to feel like if we land on 1 superstar draft pick next year, and develop everyone else for another year this squad has a solid 5+ year run in the playoffs.
