To recognize his historic World Series run with the Blue Jays this October, Kirk was honoured with a mural in his hometown of Tijuana. The image, painted by renowned urban artist Mode Orozco, features Kirk donning a Blue Jays jersey and hat. Behind him is his last name in large blue letters across a red wall that sits beneath a bridge.

  1. Well executed! This is very cool and I hope they find the person who caught his first WS HR and put it in their sports museum.

  2. I love that they only signed him because they had signed Vladdy for big money in 2015 and had to scoop up a bunch of guys on the cheap in 2016.

  3. He might be my favorite player and imma Seattle M’s fan. Fly high my short king

  4. At first I’m like, he looks mad Spanish, then read the caption😭. The only Kirk we acknowledge

  5. >>”Such a beautiful and heartwarming post, surely the comments will all be about how Alejandro Kirk is awesome and deserves recognition for it.”

    – A foolish version of myself from the past.

  6. Has anyone actually met this guy is he actually 5-8 I’m kinda obsessed

(Dude is killing the Dodgers but I am a fan, Alejandro rocks)

  7. I didn’t know he was from Tijuana. My team is still the dodgers but now I have a little more respect for Kirk.

  8. Tijuana loves to celebrate the success of their locals, so it’s awesome they’re doing something like this for him.

  9. I know it is heresy as a Yankees fan, but Kirk has become one of my favorite players to watch in the league. I will balance it with my hate for Springer 🫠.

  10. This player deserves the respect from his community. This is a nice show of respect. It’s always great when a home town guy (or gal) does well, especially now.
