Feel like we coulda used more Bona
[deleted]
Really frustrating game. We outscored them for every single quarter after that 1st one, but that 1st quarter was so bad it gave us a crazy hole to climb out of. I never want to see an offense run through Edwards and Andre Drummond ever again by the way, what the fuck was that. We tied it up and could have had our first lead of the game then and there but Nurse decided he didn’t feel like winning.
On the positive side, Embiid actually tried to defend the rim a bit today. Still obviously not moving freely, but 2 blocks and a few more contests is a significant improvement from the last few games.
If they could play 15 minutes of D per game they wouldnt have to make these stupid last quarter heart attack inducing runs.
Sad that VJ has a higher bbiq than our two stars
Good fight. To lose by one considering some of the shots the Celtics were hitting in the first half is a positive in my book.
But we really gotta rebound the ball better.
Fuck
We were clamping shit in the 4th quarter. I get the impression that we’re being lax on defense early because the roster is injured and we can’t afford for guys to get in foul trouble early. PG and McCain coming back will allow us to be more aggressive on defense early, hopefully it’ll limit the double digit leads opponents are gaining on us
Lack of effort for offensive rebounds is still plaguing the team; way too many second chance shots for Boston tonight. Having said that, I’m loving that this team does not give up. Learning to not dig such big third quarter deficits will be key to succeeding down the stretch.
Onward and upward.
Nurse is going to blow VJs rookie of the year chances
18 fucking turnovers.
We need pg and Jared back and Bona deserves more minutes
Crazy they are not giving VJ a chance at the end, he’s explosive, shoots high release junmpers, and rather have Maxy drive for a unbalanced floater, attempting a three when down by 1. I’d be so mad if I were VJ
Good effort, TTP guys
VJ was by far the most efficient scorer we got and all nick nurse do is to just stick him right into that corner and leave him alone
Just realized this is a sixers version of a late eagles era Andy Reid game
Went with Embiid for offense over another center for rebounds. He did score so not sure that’s why they lost. Maxey took a bad shot and Grimes should’ve shot the last one.
These minutes seem concerning. 76ers needs more guys to distribute the minutes.
Nurse keeps moving VJ away from the play and it’s pissing me off
We beat ourselves with the mistakes and we were still right there, it happens
We really missed Barlow in this one. Watford, Walker and Edwards were all brutal
Reminder: our next game is against the 0-5 Nets.
I don’t care about the in season tournament… but we always seem to suck during in those games.
I need Jared back asap so he can actually get VJ the ball instead of these iso ball hogs
18 turnovers but it was still in the balance until 2 gruesome ATOs. They showed great fight though
We need PG badly. Can dude play already? He’s been practicing for 2 weeks
Also guys, Embiid up to 25 minutes now! Thats an improvement, although he did look winded at the end, but ill take it
VJ is a hell of player but some people here have unrealistic expectations for a rookie. He won’t be the vocal point late in games unless he’s cooking, his handle just isn’t strong enough to run one of those final two plays through him

My views guys the crowd was lit tonight we need better defense bad lol
Sucks to lose especially to the Celtics but coming back after being blown out early out is still good. Really just want to see what they do while fully healthy.
Shouldn’t have called the timeout. Gave Mazzula liberty to scheme.
When Maxey drove, I knew it wasn’t going in
Nick draws up some wack ass plays
18 turnovers compared to boston’s 9 and we end it as a one position game. a lot of positives to take away from a a loss tbh. VJ finally has a game where he sort of looks like a rookie (still the absolute goat but every bucket was harder than g1 but still came through, which i value higher than scoring 40 against beatable temas) but who can you blame him, celtics already had a full games tape against him and of course theyre going to be able to scheme, they have phenomenal coaching. Maxey still balling out with a ~50% shooting percentage, wish we still dished him the ball in the final position he has that clutch gene lets buy in. Joe is adjusting, i refuse to grade him until we see many more games with this line up, its not comparable to anything we put around him before. (i am a heavily embiid bias fan, he made sixers basketball fun again and i will always be grateful for him reviving what was a pitiful franchise) McCain will be back soon and thats one more person an opposing team will have to plan for in a game deciding position, i hope to god it ends up with better decision making, that was too much time reading a defense to dish end up dishing out to embiid.
My concern is Nurse. I would love to be proven wrong, i would love for comments to argue against me but i just have not seen him optimize the talent i think we have coming up with a scheme for half court positions…maybe im missing something that he sees, maybe plays arent aligned with what hes drawing up, but with the talent we have in a 1 point game,, i just dont think thats it….
lastly, when boston misses that free throw with 3 seconds on the clock and we sub two big man in to catch the rebound, do you not decide to have them put it right back up for the bucket if the o board is clean? 3 seconds is enough for a for a posses and put back, its embiid, he puts that back up for the lead or its a foul no?
Nonetheless, i am so impressed with this team. I will be the first to admit i was walking around saying its a flyers winter, after what 10? years of the process i was finally ready to be a flyers diehard and these dudes just pull me right back in.
Fuck Boston, go Sixesrs. TTP

At least the pressure of remaining undefeated is gone now.
Looking forward to seeing how this team responds after a loss like that.
All those turnovers, and we still only lose by one and are still missing pg, and McCain, i better not see anyone overreacting to this loss
It’s over, this dynasty was great.
I think nurse’s confused, he plays VJ as if he was PJ
Maxey has 26/14/8 and people in here ripping him for having a bad game…he had a good game even with the turnovers. Grimes on the other hand was bad bad.
Can’t keep playing from behind all the time and expect to routinely pull it out at the end, it’s not sustainable. Also sloppy basketball with 18 turnovers.
