Trey Yesavage only made 57k this entire season vs. the dodgers line up making 148 million!

  1. Heard the team bat boy brings an extra lunch to work so Trey can eat. Will even slip a fiver into his pocket every now an then so he can have a little “spending money”.

  2. He did get a multi million signing bonus so he is not entirely destitute.  Still, if he keeps this up for a few more seasons he’ll be looking at Snell+ money.

  3. I’m sure a WS Ring will make up for that… plus the huge contract he will get signing with the Dodgers or Mets

  4. Don’t worry his Canadian endorsements alone are gonna come fast and be heavy. He gonna be alright.

  5. He says he’s “made for this” but the challenge will be to see if he is made for “a long 162 game season”.

  6. I don’t know much about baseball salaries, but I am pretty sure he is making the same money as Addison Barger, the difference is that Trey’s is pro rated to the amount of time he played in the regular season.

  7. I get that many people are saying he’s gonna get some massive contract later to make it worth it, and he likely will, but unfortunately there’s no guarantee of such a thing.

He’s not arbitration eligible for another 3 years. For those 3 years, he’s going to make the MLB minimum of $780,000.

During those three years, he could get hurt, regress, or several other factors. There’s countless examples of people performing at their best in their rookie seasons.

I’m definitely rooting for the guy and hope he gets his bag. But guys like this as well as Skenes really show some of the problems with how baseball players are compensated.

  8. It’s insane he’s going to have to wait years to get his money. In a better system he’d be restructuring his contract the second the World Series ends.

  9. $148M Dodgers salary was accurate like 20 years ago. Try $321M in 2025, and that’s including insane deferments for Ohtani.

  10. It’s

interesting that none of the players on the Blue Jays roster were paid at all. All volunteer squad

  11. The Mariners had no issues dealing with him. He gave up 7 ER in the ALCS. Dodgers just have a team of chokers.

  12. He has already made more money than the vast majority of us will make in our entire lives. I think he’ll be OK.

  13. He is a member of probably the most powerful union on earth. He can take it up with them,
