Jayden Daniels and Bryce Young are back, KC at BUF Preview, Fantasy Decisions | The Insiders
over the weekend and get you
ready for Monday Night Football
as well for Florio for rank I Major changes in Miami today
after the Dolphins ugly loss to
the Ravens dropped them to two and seven. We will break down
what the exit of GM Chris Grier
could mean for coach Mike McDaniel’s future and the
team’s plans ahead of next
week’s trade deadline. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen square
off again on Sunday, with a lot
at stake in the AFC playoff chase. Our Jeffrey Judea has
the latest from Kansas City,
including how the Chiefs defense could try to contain
bills star James Cook. We will
also talk with Eagles cornerback Cooper Dejean, who
is enjoying the bye week with
the two things he loves most his hair and pizza. I’m sure
we’ll talk a little bit of
football too, but really, hair and pizza is all you need.
Welcome inside with The
Insiders alongside Judy Battista and Ian Rapoport. I am
Tom Pelissero. Happy Halloween
to everybody out there, especially the moms and dads
currently chasing their kids in
the dark with a white Claw in one hand. And this show on NFL
plus on their phone in the
other. Week nine is off and rolling. We will cover all the
fallout from that game between
the Dolphins and Ravens momentarily, but as we look
ahead to Sunday, we once again
have a lot of quarterback news to get to today. Let’s start
out in Washington, where
commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is off the injury
report and will start Sunday
against the Seahawks after missing one game because of a
hamstring injury. As coach Dan
Quinn said today, Jaden will be back and we’re pumped about
that. Terry McLaurin. He is out
after aggravating his quad, but clearly the return of Daniels a
big deal for commanders team
that badly needs a win. Currently sitting at three and
five. Matt Jones will start
again for the 40 Niners as Brock Purdy continues to make
his way back from a toe injury.
Purdy officially listed as questionable again, but coach
Kyle Shanahan said Purdy has a
chance to be available. Potentially. That could mean
that Purdy suits up in a backup
role. Bottom line, Ian, whatever happens this week,
that certainly would cast a
positive light on Purdy’s availability moving forward,
potentially even as soon as
next week as the starter. Yeah, finally heading in a positive
direction for Brock Purdy for
the Cincinnati Bengals. Once again, it is up in the air.
Unbelievably, we’re not talking
about Joe Burrow. We’re not talking about Joe Flacco, who
is listed as questionable with
an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder. There is a little bit
of optimism here because he was
able to practice the last couple days, said he responded
well when he threw and Flacco
was saying essentially he saw enough to think he’s got a good
chance of playing, but also
wants to see how his shoulder responds to officially
questionable. With an eye
toward Sunday with the Atlanta Falcons, this one is much more
positive. Michael Penix Jr.
Dealing with a bone bruise in his knee is off. The injury
report is expected to play,
which, if you saw how Kirk Cousins struggled last week and
you’re a Falcons fan, this is a
very good sign. Drake London off the injury report as well.
So all systems go once again
for Atlanta. The status of Cardinals quarterback Kyler
Murray for Monday night’s game
is still very much up in the air. He has missed the last two
games with a foot injury,
Jonathan Gannon, the coach, said they are preparing for him
to play against Dallas, but
Murray has been a limited participant in practice this
week and today. Local reporters
who were on the scene watching the early part of practice
noted that it was Jacoby
Brissett who was working with the starting receivers. Murray
was working with the backups.
So some intrigue for the Monday night game and Kyler Murray’s
availability. There is no such
intrigue in Carolina, though. Bryce Young is off the injury
report. Good news he will
return from the ankle injury that cost him week eight. He
will start against the Packers
on Sunday, which is really good news because his backup, Andy
Dalton, played with a broken
thumb last week. He, by the way, is listed as questionable.
Thursday night got ugly in many
ways for the Dolphins. It also was the final game for Chris
Grier as the general manager
met with Stephen Ross, the owner, this morning. The sides
agreed to mutually part ways.
Grier had been the GM in Miami since 2016. Dolphins were 77
and 80 during his tenure three
playoff appearances, zero playoff wins. Stephen Ross
released a lengthy statement
saying in part, as I assess the state of the team and in my
discussions with Chris, it
became clear to both of us that change could not wait. We must
improve in 2025, 2026 and
beyond, and it needs to start right now. Right now also
happens to be four days out
from the trade deadline, with interim general manager Champ
Kelly now set to take over the
process at this stage. Ian, that is significant in terms of
the move to be made right now,
Chris Greer has been getting calls on a lot of his big name
players. He had not wanted to
deal at a time. The Dolphins were trying to turn around. The
season certainly sounds like
already Miami is much more open to listening. Yeah, and that
has to be part of the reason
why the decision was made to move on from Chris Greer. I’ve
talked to several GMs this
afternoon after the news came out. All of them said the same
thing. He never wanted to trade
any of his guys this season. Maybe Chip Kelly will be far
more open. They have a couple
edge rushers. Bradley Chubb is one of them. Jaelan Phillips is
another who people want to get
their hands on. We’ll see where Champ Kelly goes here. But for
Chris Grier I mean it has been
a rough, rough time for him not only talking about how his when
he was general manager of the
team never won a playoff game, although certainly that is part
of it. You got all those assets
from the Laremy Tunsil trade did not turn that into very
much. And even this spring and
summer, Judy, when he tried to remake his roster and you could
just see the struggles there,
the trade of Jalen Ramsey acquiring Minkah Fitzpatrick,
bringing Darren Waller out of
retirement, signing Rasul Douglas. Rarely do you see
teams try to make and remake an
entire position in May and June. There just aren’t that good
players available. It was just
tough sledding for Chris Grier. Never felt like this year. He
had much of a chance, and the
fact that $54 million of his contract next year, fully
guaranteed, just makes it a
brutal, brutal situation and something that the people I’ve
talked to around the NFL
believe this had to happen for Miami, right. And so much more
needs to happen in Miami. They
are due for really what is going to have to be a complete
reset, keeping Mike McDaniel in
place for now is fine. He’s also the offensive play caller.
I’m not really sure there would
be any reason to get rid of him at this point, but whether
Stephen Ross parts ways with
Mike McDaniel after the season or allows the new GM to make
the decision, clearly they have
a lot of big decisions to go. As you pointed out, two is
contract. I mean, they’re sort
of married to Tua for at least another season before they can
realistically think of getting
out of it, and then they just have to reassess how they’re
going to go about building this
franchise. Because the last few years with Chris Grier, they’ve
sort of gone all in, right?
They’ve given up assets, they’ve gotten big name players,
they’ve handed out some big
time contracts. It just hasn’t worked. They haven’t gotten the
results that they were hoping
for. No playoff wins, very sporadic playoff appearances.
Chris Grier was there for
almost ten full years. And yes, they had three playoff
appearances, but there was no
consistency. And then of course, they had the early spike in
performance when Mike McDaniel
first started there the first two seasons. And now that has
tailed off. So a reset is
coming for the Miami Dolphins. And frankly, it’s going to all
come down to owner Stephen Ross,
who is obviously a fabulously successful real estate
developer but has really
struggled to land the right people on the football side to
lead his franchise. Mike
McDaniel, we’re told, will be the coach for at least the
remainder of this season. My
understanding talking to people today is what they want to see.
The second half of the season
is not just wins, but the team continuing to play hard,
continue to take steps in the
right direction. Do not discount the possibility here,
in part because, as Ian
mentioned, they owe Tua $54 million. Next year you could
have a scenario where they keep
mike McDaniel, a guy Stephen Ross likes a lot and respects
as a coach on for one more
season with a new regime around him, give the GM time to
evaluate it on the job before
potentially making other changes into 2027. As for how
it ended for the Chris Grier
era in Miami, well, it ended with bags on fans heads and
boos because that man, Lamar
Jackson, came back after missing three games with a
hamstring injury and was doing
Lamar things again early going rolls right, hits Mark Andrews
for a two yard touchdown. Makes
it 7 to 3 in the early going. Later on in the first quarter,
Lamar stepping up in the pocket
this time slides out. Jalen Phillips had him instead he
finds Isaiah likely. It was one
of those nights for Miami. Take another look here Lamar didn’t
do a lot of running. But you
can see the mobility right here. If that hamstring is hurting
him he’s not showing it. Two
plays later second quarter now Lamar to Mark Andrews. Once
again congratulations. If you
listen to Michael F Florio on our fantasy segment yesterday
had Mark Andrews in your lineup.
He absolutely delivered. Ravens extend the lead to 14 to 3. Now
late in the second quarter,
about a minute to play. Dolphins trailing 14 to 6. They
kicked a couple field goals.
They missed another. They go for it on fourth and two. And
they do this a fade to Davon
Chan against All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton. Sounds like he
might have just lost the ball
in the lights. It was not a great moment for the Dolphins.
Ravens second half get the ball
back first because Miami had decided to take the ball to
start the game. There’s that’s
not Mark Andrews. That’s time. It’s Charlie Kohler. How many
tight ends does this guy have?
Next Ravens drive Lamar for good. Hey how about a wide
receiver. It’s Rashod Bateman
that’s going to make it 28 to 6. The second straight win for
Baltimore a big return for
Lamar Zay. Flowers got a piece of the action as well. Zay we
talked before the game. You
talked about your emotions playing here at home for the
first time since high school.
What did it feel like in the game. And to win this way. Hey
I’ve been waiting to play here
for a minute. I didn’t get to play for the Kings. I didn’t
get to play here. So I’m. I’m
at least glad I got to come play in my hometown one time
and be able to do something in
my whole family see me. So it’s special. And to win this way. I
know it’s been a rough year,
but to do it this way here, what does that mean, man? And
like I said, man, we just
getting started, man. We just getting started. We should hit
a little. We should go on the
run right now. And everybody feeling good. We got everybody
back. So it should start a
little run. You talk about healthy. Your quarterback
looked pretty healthy out there
for touchdowns. What did you see. Hey what’d you see look
like. Marvelous. Marvelous.
Yeah. He yeah man. We got him back. It’s just good to see him
out there running throwing the
ball again, so it’s great. Say flowers always lights up the TV
screen when we see his face. So
is our next guest here, Stacey Dales, our good friend Stacey.
This is the Ravens team that
we’ve seen in the past. Lamar. Healthy ish if not entirely
100%. He’s making things happen.
How big is that? As the Ravens try to make the type of run
it’s going to take for them to
get back into the playoffs? Tom it’s huge. Don’t take it from
me. Take it from Zay Flowers.
Great interview there by Cam Wolfe. They’re about to go on a
run now. They’ve got the
Vikings, the Browns the Jets and the Bengals in their next
four. They’re three and five at
this stage. They’ve won two in a row. They snuck one with
Tyler Huntley at quarterback a
game that I was at against Chicago last week. And I will
just say this Lamar Jackson
told us last night it’s great to be back, Lamar. It’s great
to have you back. And you’re
143 passer rating. And your four passing touchdowns.
Football needs Lamar Jackson
just as much as the Baltimore Ravens do. He was spectacular
last night. He talked about
some of the rust after the game that he felt and maybe didn’t,
you know, use those legs as
much as we’re accustomed to. But John Harbaugh said the key
to the entire game, maybe, was
his 13 yard scramble to kick things off in the second half,
and we saw just flashes of
brilliance from this guy. I’ll tell you this, Tom, going into
that Chicago game, he was
actually close to playing. He actually took starting reps
that week. So he had those
starting reps. And then he had a short week here heading into
Thursday Night Football. But
this was must win territory. John Harbaugh, the head coach,
said it in terms of the fact
that they had two must win games in the course of five
days, and Lamar Jackson and
this team, I just see the trajectory going up, Tom,
because also you have to keep
in mind their defense is finally getting healthy. In
their last two games, they’ve
given up just 13 points per game. They have five takeaways,
three takeaways last night and
a healthy Lamar Jackson. Not to mention Derrick Henry was over
100 on the ground last night.
It was a thing of beauty for the Baltimore Ravens. And I
mentioned this remaining
schedule. Vikings. Browns. Jets. Bengals. You know think about
that and where their record
could lie after the next four games. Looks pretty promising
for the Baltimore Ravens.
Stacey, do not move a lot more from you on some of the big
matchups coming up on Sunday
here in week nine. You mentioned Lamar taking starting
reps. Last week. We took some
scout team reps on Friday as well, which created a situation
where when the Ravens list him
as a full participant, that was against the rules. The NFL
today fined the Ravens $100,000
for violating the league’s injury report policy by
incorrectly listing Jackson’s
status. The league determined the violation was not
intentional. If they had
thought it was intentional, then draft picks and other
punishment could have been
involved. Ravens released a statement in part saying they
clearly made an error regarding
player injury reporting and cooperated transparently with
the league’s investigation. The

this. The insiders presented by

Welcome back to The Insiders, presented by Progressive
Insurance. Very good news for
the Los Angeles Rams. Receiver Puka Nacua said he feels
fantastic. He proclaimed
himself ready to go against the Saints this weekend. He
sprained his left ankle in week
six. It looked really bad when it happened, but he practiced
fully on Thursday. He’s off the
injury report today. All systems go for Puka Nacua.
Similarly, Raiders tight end
Brock Bowers says he is ready to roll on Sunday. I love these
guys giving their own status
against the Jaguars. He has missed three games with a knee
injury he suffered in week one.
Originally, he kept playing in weeks two through four. His
production was way down.
Finally, they shut him down. Now it appears that he is ready
to go at full speed. And
finally, more good news on the injury front for the Falcons.
Michael Penix is returning as
we told you earlier and so is Drake. London expected to play
Sunday versus the Patriots. He
missed last week against the Dolphins with a hip injury. So
the Falcons are finally getting
much healthier. Let’s turn our attention to I think it’s the
game of the week. It’s usually
one of the games of the year. Buffalo bills versus the Kansas
City Chiefs. Look at this split
of how the bills do against the Chiefs in the regular season
versus in the playoffs since
the 2020 season. There are perfect four zero in the
regular season. I can remember
being at the game in Buffalo last year and Josh Allen
basically said, yeah, it’s
great to win. Doesn’t really mean anything until we beat
them in the playoffs. And as
you see, they have yet to beat them in the playoffs. And
here’s our Jeffrey Chadiha.
Let’s break this game down. All right Mahomes versus Allen two
league MVP’s. What do we expect
from this game. Well you expect greatness again Judy. And these
two always bring their best
when they play against each other. They’re great friends.
They’re great competitors. They
understand they have to be on top of their game when they go
against each other’s teams. And
and Mahomes said he’s a huge fan of Josh Allen and the way
he plays with his legs. He said.
If you have one quality that Josh Allen has, it’s the
ability to be that big and be
able to make those kinds of plays on the run, throwing the
ball from the sideline,
slinging it down the field, and the Chiefs realize that’s the
biggest thing with Josh Allen
is keeping him from getting off script and improvising. You saw
the way he won the game last
year during the regular season with a huge run. If they can’t
stop him from getting outside
and making those big plays, it’s going to be a long, long
game for the Kansas City Chiefs.
All right. The bills running back James Cook is coming off a
huge performance last week. The
Chiefs defense has been excellent so far this season.
How do they contain him. Well
that’s their other big concern because they realize that James
Cook is is a monster. And Steve
Spagnola has described him as probably one of the premier
backstage. They’re going to see
this year. They’ve seen a lot of guys like Saquon Barkley and
Derrick Henry. But this guy,
his ability to make jump cuts and explode and accelerate and
get outside and get to the edge,
that’s a big, big concern for them and their offensive
coordinator. The Buffalo’s
offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, talked about just how
well the bills have been
blocking downfield. He’s very proud of the effort the
receivers make in the run game,
because when you see a player like James Cook get a couple
hundred yards against a
Carolina run defense, that’s really good. That’s a testament
to their run game. So they’re
going to try to run the football in this game. They’re
one of the few teams in the
league that runs it more than they throw it. So James Cook is
a big part of what’s going to
happen on Sunday. This feels very much like all of those
Patriots versus Colts games
back in the day, an annual meeting that everybody looks
forward to and probably
determines an awful lot about playoff seeding. Jeffrey, thank
you very much. When we return,
we’re actually going to talk about another great running
back. And by the way, the AFC’s
top team, that’s Jonathan Taylor the Indianapolis Colts.
Our Stacey Dales will return to
talk about them when we return to the insiders presented by
Progressive Insurance. Chipotle

Travis Hunter? The Jaguars two way player was placed on
injured reserve today. Out at
least four games with what sounds like a potentially
serious injury. My
understanding is the team is still doing evaluations after
Hunter injured the knee in
practice on Thursday. May not know exactly what the prognosis
is until early next week. We
will not be seeing Hunter at receiver or cornerback for some
time. Better news for
Jacksonville Brian Thomas Jr has no injury designation and
will play on Sunday against the
Raiders. Jags coming off the bye, Liam Cohen said Thomas
truly practiced the best that
he’s seen him practice this week. That is a good sign. One
of the breakout rookie stars of
a year ago has had a rocky start to 2025. If they can get
him going, that would certainly
help make up for the loss of Hunter Calvin Ridley out once
again for the Titans because of
the hamstring injury that is now sidelined him for several
weeks. Still dealing with that
injury. Another player who, like many on the Titans are
potential subject of trade
talks. Nothing imminent on that front, but one of many names
that could draw interest as the
deadline approaches on Tuesday. Ian. All right, so on one hand
you have this this really good
offense the Colts offense if you haven’t been paying
attention is balling. You have
Daniel Jones with a career resurgence. You have Jonathan
Taylor has been one of the best
running backs in the NFL. You have a slew of receivers. These
guys are getting it done and
have become a juggernaut. Okay, so on the other side, you have
the Pittsburgh Steelers. And
they have, let’s just say not been as good especially on
defense. Welcome in Stacey
Dales. Thank you for hanging out with us on the insiders
with a very, very clear Go Jays
sign. We’ll get to that in a sec. Along with our good friend
Judy Battista. So, Dale, I want
to start with you. I’m going to start with essentially what
that graphic was just showing
there, which is the Colts are really good. The Steelers
defense hasn’t been as good.
How in the world is Pittsburgh going to stop him? It’s a great
question, Tom and Judy, because
right now this Pittsburgh defense ranks 30th in the
National Football League.
They’re giving up 386 total yards of offense per game,
while the Colts are averaging
385 total yards of offense per game. And as you just alluded
to on the full screen, 34
points per game, they are dynamic and they are just so
darn well-rounded. I was just
on the phone with Pittsburgh defensive lineman Cam Heyward,
and he told me, if you don’t
get up for this game, like, seriously, you got to get
excited for opportunities like
this. Because that guy on the screen right there, Jonathan
Taylor, he has been unreal. The
AFC player of the month for a very good reason. In October,
he leads the NFL with 850
rushing yards. He leads the league with 12 rushing
touchdowns. Guys they still
have nine games to go. He’s also number one with scrimmage
yards. He’s number one with
scrimmage touchdowns with 14 of them. And that is going to be
the focal point for this
Pittsburgh defense guys. But if you look at also the
quarterback right Daniel Jones
the work that he has put in I spoke with Sen Tanor Bortolini
on the phone this week. And he
said when you watch Daniel Jones work, he told me he sits
behind actually, Shane Steichen
and Daniel Jones when they fly, when they travel and they’re
always together, they’re locked
at the hip. They’re constantly on a four hour flight to Los
Angeles. They are going through
that game plan, going through scheme and and it’s been a
wonderful marriage for the two.
So with the way Daniel Jones is playing through the air, they
are just so well rounded when
it comes to running the football with Taylor and all
those skill players on the
outside. This is a dynamic group that is going to look for
another win. They’re seven and
one headed to Pittsburgh. First of all Stacey go Don Mattingly
want him to finally get a World
Series. But let’s turn our attention to the Vikings and
Lions game. Because certainly
the headline is J.J. McCarthy finally returning to the field.
They’re going to need an awful
lot of points against that Lions offense, though. What do
you see happening in this game?
Yeah Judy another dynamic offense with Jared Goff and
company. And they’re coming off
the bye. So they’re well rested. Part of that you know bye week
was just to tinker with things.
What do they need to do better offensively. What do they need
to adjust. If you’re John
Morton the offensive coordinator. Listen they’ve won
five in a row against the
Minnesota Vikings. This is a tough week for Mr. McCarthy to
return from that ankle injury.
He’s missed some significant time. You guys know what this
environment is like in Detroit,
Dan Campbell said this week. And I love this statement. We
don’t talk about expectations
in Detroit. We talk about standards. There’s a standard
of excellence now with this
team. And they are they’re not even playing their best
football, but they’re getting
better week to week. It all starts with Jared Goff. That
man right there. How about guys
he’s on pace to well he’s got a 75% completion rate right now a
116 passer rating. If those
stand those will be career highs for him. Because last
year he set the bar at a 72
completion rate and a 112 passer rating. By the way,
nobody has 20 wins and four
losses with the exception of Jared Goff. It’s the best ratio
since 2024. That would be last
season. And really when it comes down to it is Dan
Campbell talked about facing
Brian Flores. Remember they’ve won the last five against the
Minnesota Vikings Detroit has.
It’s all about the pressure up front. They have the second
highest blitz rate the Vikings
do in the NFL this season and the multiplicity on the back
end. But Jared Goff guys over
those last five games he’s got like a 76 completion percentage
against the Minnesota Vikings.
He has fared very well against them Ian and Judy and Joe Jay’s
couple of fun ones. Couple of
fun ones this week. And I’m not so sure about Go Jays, but
everything else you said. I
agree with Dale. Thank you very much for hanging out with us.
Cannot wait for the games this
weekend. Don Mattingly Yankee who cares about the Yankees?
Yankees suck anyway. You know
who doesn’t suck? These guys right here Jordan Love and the
green Bay Packers. They played
the Steelers and they were on fire. We saw maybe the best
game I think that we’ve seen
from Jordan Love in this electric versatile Packers
offense we’ve seen in some time.
There’s no one I would rather have break this down than Brian
Baldinger. So here is our baldy
breakdown on these studs right here. When the green Bay
Packers host the Carolina
Panthers at Lambeau Field on Sunday, they bring a three game
win streak in an offense that’s
very well designed by Matt LaFleur and offensive
coordinator Adam Stenavich. And
it really starts with the run game and some of the things
they do week in, week out. Have
they tweaked the run game. So like against Pittsburgh here
here comes tight end Tucker
Kraft and Motion Man coverage. And they’re going to run a
stacked offensive play
situation where they can throw the flat route to Tucker Kraft
or hand it off to Josh Jacobs.
And it takes the Steelers out of the box right here. Four
guys out of the box. And you
get a nice gain on first down. If you watch this from the end
zone angle here comes Tucker
Kraft and Patrick Queen of the Steelers will go out with them.
Now inside the offensive line
puts a hat on a hat. And Josh Jacobs has a nice lane to cut
back into for a very positive
game. A little tweak changes week in week out. Now they’ll
go under center play action,
pass max protection, get the linebackers to step up to stop
Josh Jacobs and they’ll run a
post dig route combination behind it. And here Jordan Love
gets an explosive play to
Christian Watson here for a big jump. All right. They they
believe in getting those chunk
plays that lead to scores. Now they do something I think that
is cool. They create space by
formations and personnel groupings. Pittsburgh’s in man
coverage right here. And Tucker
Kraft is going to take the safety to Sean Elliot to deep
water and then come out. But
look at all this space that Jordan Love has to throw this
ball to. Nobody else out there.
Nobody. No fear right here. Throw it to a spot. Let Tucker
Kraft adjust to it. And as the
league is finding out, he’s very difficult to get to the
ground. Once he starts rambling
and rumbling with the ball. But I’ll give you another example.
Like on this play, Watson comes
in motion. The two receivers at the bottom are going to clear
out and then up at the top,
Tucker Kraft is going to run this little angle route, and
he’s going to have the whole
middle of the field to work. We call this a Texas route. And so
Jordan Love puts it on him
perfect in stride as we find out. Like that’s his. He’s got
six touchdown catches. He’s
good after the catch. But those are just a couple of plays that
are well designed. They execute
them. They take advantage of predicted coverages. And the
Carolina Panthers will have
their hands full with this Packers offense on Sunday.
Jayden Daniels is back in the

He’s got MCL sprain. What impact does that have on let’s
say Burchard Smith. Well this
could be a really big opportunity for Smith this week
against the Buffalo Bills, a
team that has given up a lot of production on the ground to
opposing running backs. Now, a
couple of weeks ago on this very show, we talked about
picking up Rashad Smith as a
stash because he was starting to get a little bit more run in
this offense. And now with
Isaiah Pacheco out, he’s going to get a real opportunity.
We’ve seen Kareem Hunt go out
there and score a couple of touchdowns. But he’s mainly
reserved as the goal line back.
There is a real chance if Rashad Smith goes out there.
Has a breakout game against the
Buffalo Bills, and you’ll be able to thank us later. So rank,
let’s just say I’ll use a
hypothetical here. Let’s say you’re a fantasy owner who may
or may not have grabbed Tyrone
Tracy on waivers. Your team is two and five. Terrible. Need a
little bounce of just points
and explosion from the offense. Plus cam is out. What do you
see from my someone’s player
Tyrone Tracy. Right, right. Of course. You’re just asking for
a friend. Tyrone Tracy showed
last season that when he’s given an opportunity to be the
focus of the running attack, he
can go out there and do it. And we’ve seen we’ve seen evidence
of that. Now, he had just taken
a back seat to cam. But now that he’s getting a second
chance against the San
Francisco 49 ers, I expect him to make the most of it. The 49
ers have been really vulnerable
to fantasy running backs over the last couple of weeks. This
happened before Fred Warner
went down with his season ending injury. They had already
been pretty vulnerable. But
ever since Fred Warner has gone down it’s gotten even
exasperated. So yes Tyrone
Tracy is going to be an excellent start this week.
Jayden Daniels is back for the
commanders, but Terry McLaurin once again is out after
aggravating that quad. What
impact does that have on Daniels fantasy production rank?
Well, I think that you’re still
going to end up starting him because I have Jayden Daniels
in a number of leagues, and I
went looking at the streaming options and the streaming
options where guys like Tua
Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray and I’m like, okay, I’m going to go
with Jayden Daniels. The one
thing that we have seen when he’s come back after his
injuries is he doesn’t get as
many designed runs, but still not afraid to use his legs to
take an opportunity. So instead
of going out there and getting 80 rushing yards, he’s getting
around 40. I would like him to
see get see him get Deebo Samuel involved a little bit
more in the offense. We didn’t
see it last week. Kind of hoping that Marcus Mariota
would take advantage of it. But
I think Deebo can also have a nice game this week as well.
Merritt is the one who worries
me. Seattle’s been a very good run defense. So this might be a
chance for Mike Nichols to go
out there and get some run. Because as a receiver out of
the backfield I’m actually
playing Tyrone Tracy over Bill on Sunday, which really
bolsters my opinion of me being
a great fantasy owner. All right. You’re doing good. Mike
Garafolo is the only one of us
who has kids, so he is off for Halloween. I’m going to ask a
question for him. Okay. He has
Treveyon Henderson, right? Rhamondre Stevenson dealing
with a toe bruise. He is out.
What do you see for Treveyon and the Patriots this Sunday?
Well, everything says that you
should start Treveyon Henderson. He’s going to get the majority
of the opportunities. But this
is the New England Patriots. And they do things differently.
You can never tell what they’re
going to do. The science says start them. You just never know.
But I’m going to go for the
opportunity play I’m going to be starting Treveyon Henderson.
As a matter of fact I’ve got a
leak right now. I just set the lineup by two. Running backs
are Treveyon Henderson and Kyle
Monangai. Just as we drew it up back in August. Although we did
talk about it, we did talk
about Kyle Monangai in August as somebody to stash, and now
we’re understanding why we do
stuff like that. We did. Mike Garafolo was asking me how to
pronounce his name and I’m like,
it’s Monangai. And then we went off and we were running. There
you go, Frank. Thank you very
much. Get back to handing out protein bars to all your trick
or treaters. We’ll talk to you
again soon. Coming up after this, Cooper Dejean, Eagles
cornerback, joins us to talk
about his Philly finally on the right track. Cooper is with us
next on The insiders presented

*Bryce Young and Jayden Daniels
Crazy to think that the commander's went from going to the nfc championship game to being back to being a bad team despite of all there injuries.
Maybe best not to mention alcohol Brother
Crazy how Bryce young turned his career around when everyone had given up on him
