Uh we are uh just three days away from watching this team in action for the first time in 15 days. And while I thought this week could go, you know, off without a hitch, everybody’s refreshed. We’re rejuvenated. Um after subsequently losing five in a a row, this team has decided, nope, we’re going to make things interesting in the worst possible way. Um Jacobe Brassette looks like he is in line to be the starter once again. Um let’s just kind of backtrack here. Kyler Murray was all but announced by the national media uh this show earlier this week, hell last week, that he was going to come back, rest up for Monday Night Football. Now you’ve got Kyler Murray in his third week of practice and they’re putting him as limited Bo. Yeah. And Jacobe Brassette continues to throw at the ones. I I don’t I don’t know how this is going to end, but all I know is like Kyler Murray looks healthy to me and yet the Cardinals seem very content on rolling with the veteran 32year-old on Monday Night Football. Johnny, to go with your costume, these aren’t the droids we’re looking for. the quarterback one looking for nailed it. Yeah, big Star Wars guy. Um, this is the most headscratching thing. Even the most tapped in insiders in the NFL have no clue what’s going on. Seems like Adam Shfter, I’m sure this is just putting his pre his his brain in a pretzel because he’s following the one-word answer from Jonathan Ganon yesterday about Kyler Murray. Is he preparing to start? And he just said, “Yeah.” And then we proceed to see practice and Kyler Murray is not throwing to the top playmakers in this offense. No, it continues to be Jacobe Brousette who’s had two pretty productive starts at the quarterback position. And then today, Johnny, I was out there and it was about the status quo. Kyler Murray continues to throw to, you know, supplemental players, guys who are kind of supporting cast players out there. your semi fiocoos, your Xavier Weavers, not the Marvin Harrison Juniors of this club, not Michael Wilson, not Z Jones, not even a Greg Dorch. Kyler’s not even get able to light the Dorch in practice these days. It belongs to Jacobe Brassette. It’s very bizarre. As about as bizarre as this show right now, I think there’s a chance that Kyler Murray’s played his last game with this team. I don’t know. Like people publicly are saying like, “Oh, Kyler Murray’s foot, he’s still limited.” What the hell are you talking about? He he played in a game in which he injured his foot and has been off for a month and has practiced for three weeks. It’s like, I’m sorry, when a quarterback has a major injury that’s going to keep him out a month, they’d put him on injured reserve. He certainly wouldn’t be practicing. He’s been practicing for three weeks in a row. They’re not going to trot him out on Monday Night Football cold while while throwing the backups all week. Like this is I I I’m not saying this is what I want to do. So, let me preface this by by stating my opinion. I would play Kyler Murray. I would I would have gone I would have been a serious operation Bo this week and said Kyler Murray’s our guy. We’re going to roll with him. We’re excited about his return. This to me, walk me off the fanboy ledge here. This to me feels like a soft benching because you and I both know and have felt this mindset for a while. Jacobe Brassette is going to play well on Monday Night Football. Like the Dallas defense is terrible. You’re going to have another quality outing, we assume, from Jacobe Brassette. Then what are you going to do? Are you going to play Kyler Murray cold after missing four weeks, five weeks, and play him against Seattle in Seattle? There’s no way they do that, right? This feels like this feels like Jacobe Brassette in route to about 320 and a couple touchdowns and either they’re going to have to announce it Tuesday. I don’t know what what’s going to happen, but like if they were committed to Kyler Murray, I think you would have seen a different approach this week. I don’t believe what anybody’s saying. And listen, you got John Gamadaro locally Bose’s favorite saying that, oh, they’re not going to trade Kyler and and this this is based on Kyler’s health. And I’m like, come on. The Cardinals, and rightfully so, are keeping this very close to the vest. Yeah. And I I just feel like they saw the improvements in the offense. They saw the fit with Jacobe and Drew and and Jonathan is very clear. He’s he’s rolling with Drew Petting. This this feels like Kyler Murray softbenching to me. You guys are crushing in the chat. Hit that like button. Does wonders for us. Uh glad you’re trying to take us seriously as we are wearing our Halloween masks and having a very serious conversation about the Cardinals franchise quarterback position in in year seven. You know, is is this the end of the road for Kyler Murray? And you know, it’s it’s strange like to kind of add another question to it, Johnny, and it might have been included in you, you know, your synopsis of it. Did they get cold feet at two and five during the by-week from the Shfter Report the Saturday night before Jacobe Brassett’s latest start, game two of of his uh you know, two starts here and Adam Shfter saying Kyler Murray’s plan is to come back Monday night football and did they just look at the tape? Did they look at, you know, the disparity between Jacobe starts and Kyler starts and how the offense and how it produced and did they just say we’re two and five. We’re feeling the heat finally, you know, even though they probably should have felt it a couple weeks ago and that this is our best chance going forward. Uh, we got to optimize our offense going up against this Terry of a of a Dallas Cowboys offense and we got to keep be able to keep pace and the best quarterback that gives us that chance is Jacobe Brassette. It’s like Jacobe Brassette has been throwing to the one. Like I don’t believe for a second that Jacobe Brassette is not throwing to the ones when the closed portion of practice happens. Like the Cardinals have done this for the better part of a month. Bo, it’s like Jacobe Brassette Monday through Friday is throwing with the ones in public practice and in private practice because he starts he started those two games and then Jacobe Brassette like meets with the media and if the Cardinals wanted to throw water on this like think about this you like if you had confidence in your quarterback mirroring your offensive system meaning Kyler Murray and you’re going up against Dallas who is just horrific defensively. How do you not just come out this week and say, “Kyler’s feeling good. Our plan is to start him. Hopefully, he has a good week of practice.” You don’t screw around. He’s throwing to the ones. You meet with the media. You talk about the importance of these 10 games for the short term and the and the long term. And he’s just like, “Okay, Kyler Murray’s going to start.” By doing all of this, they are opening themselves up to criticism. They are. That can’t be disputed. And every single national person, that’s why I just with respect to, you know, local media reporters saying one thing, everybody nationally, everybody, fantasy football enthusiasts, everybody is just like this, this feels like a soft benching. This feels like the Cardinals want to give Jacobe Brassette another chance to play well. And like Bo, we we’ve said it all week. If Jacobe Brassette plays well, he’s going to continue to start. Now, I’m not here to say like they could go back to Kyler Murray in like a month from now if Jacobe turns into a pumpkin. Like I think that’s an option, but I also feel like the damage is going to be done at that point. Like like if you’re openly saying like, “Yeah, Kyler Murray even at 95% we’re going to go with Jacobe Brassette.” I mean like at that point it’s just like is this is this salvageable? It’s not. But to your point, I think it rs true. They are feeling the pressure of needing to win games. Good. they should because they’ve sleptwalked through seven weeks of the season and instead of like, hey, let’s bench Jonah Williams, it’s now like we’re softbenching Kyler Murray. Like I I don’t know how anybody can argue with that. Like Kyler Murray looks fantastic in practice. He’s looked healthy for the better part of two weeks. We were told he almost could have played against the Colts almost a month ago. And what did he do? Like I I know it’s tough to to trust this team with injuries right now, but like say for like oh he reagravated his foot, which he wouldn’t be practicing if that’s the case. I mean like I I am open to different interpretations from the chat other people that want to join our show. Like I’m not saying this for like clickbait. I’m saying like how do you how is this not a soft benching? Yeah. The only thing that maybe could poke holes into your theory here and some could call it a conspiracy theory because you know this is some tinfoil hat stuff especially when you start to bring in you know what’s the next step here but as we keep it you know on the first step as far as who starts and who doesn’t and if Kyler is clean bill of health or close to it is if the decision was made to go with Jacobe Brassette do you expect Kyler Murray go silently into the night to just accept his role, right? Just go to practice and throw to guys lower on the depth chart and not say anything to get Wally Pipped by Jacobe Brassette in this situation. Like that that’s my biggest thing. Like you think Kyler Murray who during uh his contract negotiations him his representation more so was pretty loud as far as how they negotiated that contract. Do you think that Kyler Murray would would keep quiet and just be you know a good soldier in this situation? He would just say you know what Jacobe has been the best guy and I’m just going to have to prove it when I get my opportunity again. I have no idea. Like I I am done kind of guessing how this franchise is operating because I with all due respect to everybody involved like it’s hard to trust people right now. Like the BJ O Gelari situation has come out. You know, Weinfuss of ESPN reported that Ojelari like I mean Ojelari told people like he he blew out his like kneecap in June, had to have a cleanup surgery and like nobody no one knew about that and so people are just assuming that he had a setback and then the organization says he didn’t have a setback. Like I I I think it’s pretty crazy that Kyler Murray’s has been pra I’ve never seen a starting quarterback Can you remember this? I’m gonna ask everybody. Have you ever seen a starting quarterback practice for three weeks? Like he it’s not quite like he’s not like minimal practice like limited. You’re still practicing. Plenty of guys are limited. They practice the following Sunday. He’s been limited for three weeks with a by-week included. So four weeks and he’s not going to play. That’s nuts. I’ve I’ve never recalled that. Like Jamar Lamar Jackson’s limited this week he plays, right? Rallies and plays. Most of the time it’s like guy is is questionable, doubtful. They miss practice like two of the three, three of the four days, then they miss the game, right? Like I I just I feel like the Cardinals are kind of having their cake and eat it to where it’s like, “Hey, Kyler, you know, take a seat this week. Get get that foot rested up. We’re going to go with Jacobe Brassette another week.” I don’t know how they handle it. If Kyler’s like, “No, I’m ready to play. I’m adamant. I want to play this week.” I I mean, do you think there’s a chance Kyler Murray plays Monday night? I think that’s there’s still a possibility. You know, tomorrow morning is the final practice of the week as it’s a strange week with the game being on Monday. You know, we’re gonna have to see how the reps are divvied up. We’re going to have to see and I know people might roll their eyes at this and say we’re not going to get anything from Ganon. We’ll see what he says. If it if it’s similar as most of this week has been to and all signs are pointing back to Jacobe Brassette, like I think I could accept that Keen Slovis remains on the roster, right? No, there there is a good possibility they can make him inactive again, but like the next 48 hours on this thing, like there could be a lot revealed uh as we try to figure things out. Now, I I think Johnny, as we continue this conversation, you know, people can once again, we’re going to show you Kyler Murray, Jacobe Brassette here in a second and continue this conversation. Who starts Monday Night Football? Is it a soft benching for Kyler Murray? Does Jacobe Brassette get his second straight start? Um, and again, I think it you’re in a position right now if you were Jonathan Ganon where like I I do think clarity is important. Um, but doesn’t it feel like Bo like right now it’s they have a little bit of like us against the world mentality like even with their own fan base like I I think that they they’ve broken some trust. I think that’s fair and we love JG but they’ve broken some trust with the injury timeline. We’re not really sure what they’re doing with the injury um to Kyler Murray. They have they have not come out and said, you know, their intentions and it just it feels like right now for a team that’s lost five in a row, they’re they’re trying to be the most interesting five and two team or excuse me, two and five team when in all reality I think a lot of people are just kind of rolling their eyes at this operation like like serious franchises, serious operations don’t try to play these kind of mind games. It’s like M. Jones is starting. We know that because Kyle Shanahan said it, right? Andy Reid, you know, those kind of coaches come out and are very forthright with injuries. I don’t I think the Cardinals with may they may have the best intentions in mind for competitive advantage. I just think it’s backfiring this year. Yeah. I mean, they’re stepping in it every step of the way. There’s they can’t get out of the way of themselves. And uh you know, the worst part of it is is the fiveame skid. Yeah. But you don’t help yourself in any way. Like the the most like levity that we’ve experienced in the last five weeks was something that we’re doing on the show right now with Buddha Baker did his his press availability today in a in a mask. Like outside of that, like there hasn’t been any like good back and forth. There hasn’t been anything that you know people can stomach like as far as trying to create positive vibes out of a bad situation. and it’s just been so against the grain and amplified by losing week in and week out and haven’t winning haven’t won a football game since September 14th. I mean, the Diamondbacks have a more recent win than the Arizona Cardinals and they haven’t played in a month and a half. It’s it’s just they nothing when you’re trying to do something your own way where it’s just different than the rest of the 31, you got to do it when you’re winning. when you’re not, you have to fall in line. And when your starting quarterback might not play for a third straight game, like there should be a little bit of transparency because right now you’re ow and two by trying to use that card, play that card where like you see, you know, more successful organizations like Shanahan realizes that you’re not going to be crushed if you know he announces that M. Jones is starting on Friday for a game on Sunday. People will appreciate that that type of transparency. Yep. There’s just too much losing associated with this franchise. Like if you’re winning, you can go up there and be like the the adults character from the Peanut Show and just you can do that for a half an hour and we’re good with it. If it means that every Sunday there’s an expectation that you’re putting a winning product on the field. I mean, they’re 14 and 27 in this regime. They’re two and five right now. It’s like they’re 0 and2 after a buy with this regime. And it’s like, let’s play patty cake with the quarterback situation. Let’s push media availability. It’s not even that. It’s not even just that though, Johnny. I mean, as you mentioned with the ESPN report, you know, Josh Weinfuss right there. I mean, after Ojelari met with the media, Wine followed up as far as specifics on his ligaments. And then also Josh had the extra as far as, you know, was it the subluxction of of his of his kneecap? Yeah. Is not great. It’s an old injury that he had cleaned up. And I don’t know if that that’s just how you can kind of um avoid it, you know, having to kind of disclose that because it didn’t necessarily have to do with the uh the the ligament tears that he suffered in training camp in 2024. So, it’s yeah to to sidestep that, but still like just creating more more evidence that the fan base can’t trust anything you say. And that’s really unfortunate because when you got past like when people wanted to crush Genanon at the very jump because they thought him as as kind of inauthentic and and maybe overenthusiastic and the pew pew pew and shots explosives once you realize that this guy seemed like he was genuine and he had this enthusiasm and he wanted to bring the juice day in and day out. But then you try to just get, you know, a straight answer as far as, hey, is this guy coming back at any time this season? like any kind of information and it’s just shut down, you know, and then like details emerge where it’s it was even more complex and severe than that. Like people lose an immense amount of trust if not all. It’s like I wonder because Ganon’s I feel like sometimes he’s he’s pretty forthright and people are going to jump all over me. Like there there is a conservative effort to withhold information and I don’t think that can be argued but we’ve seen Ganon like stumble across information maybe he was told not to give out and he’s like oh I’m going to get in trouble for this. Is this coming from Monte Anen Ford famously who worked under the the the Bellich dynasty and it’s like we’ve talked about that Bill’s act ran stale and he got his ass fired because why? Because he stopped winning games and suddenly the thetick and his press conferences they weren’t you know cliche classic Bill it was like hey this guy’s a big time loser without Tom Brady and suddenly the pressers seem kind of effed up. Yeah. Like I I I appreciate Monty Austin Ford and the culture that he’s trying to change, but this is not a winning formula. You need to rethink this. If this if this regime is brought back in 2026, if Ganon and Austin Ford are fortunate enough to keep their jobs, and I hope they do. I hope they figure this out. Yeah, this needs to be remedied. You need to have a conversation. And again, like I would give this feedback to Monty Austin Ford and Jonathan Ganon if we have an opportunity to connect with them again. Like this isn’t helping anybody. Like I I the Dallas Cowboys defense with Matt Eberflu is looking at tape from Kyler Murray and Jacobe Brassette. Like come on. It is what it is. They’re looking at tape the last two weeks of Jacobe and if Kyler plays are going to be looking at tape from earlier this year. I I I just Your product is not good enough for this kind of messaging. Your defense has collapsed in the fourth quarter. Your offense with Kyler Murray has been bad this year. Yeah. you’re and you’re like, “Well, we’re going to keep this secretive because we have a game plan and we have a competitive advantage.” It’s like, when is that going to tr I’d love for that to translate to wins. I’d love to be able for my team to be able to celebrate a win for the first time since what’ you say, midepptember. Yeah, September 14th. It’s like, hey, like this is I I I don’t know what the endgame here is because right now the endgame is they’re all going to be fired. Like this is all going to be for not. And then you know what’s going to be doubly tough? If you’re trying to read your resume from your three years here to another owner or GM and you’re saying like this is how we operate, it’s just like that was weird when you guys were kind of screwing around with Kyler Ming Jacobe Brassette and then you weren’t forthright about injuries. It’s like this stuff gets around. I I just they’re hurting themselves. And again, I’m not coming from a place of like being a hater or, you know, throwing dirt. I’m just like, “Hey guys, I want you to do well. I want good things for you. Stop doing this. This isn’t helping anybody.” Yeah. you you want like help yourself here. You want them to help themselves. Like do yourself a favor and don’t put yourself in, you know, uh place for scrutiny, especially when you’re face you’re facing a a six straight loss. You know, that’s more scrutiny. You you don’t need that like because you know ultimately you’re going to be uh judged on wins and losses, right? But in an entertainment business where people are just tuned out to the messaging where that used to be like kind of what people were, you know, brought back for like after, you know, Cliff Kingsberry and it felt like he had lost that locker room and this this organization was a rudderless ship and, you know, Kim had unceremoniously fallen out of favor for many years before he even exited the organization. like JG and Monty and their direction and the culture that they created. It was celebrated here and I like we’ve talked about it before the way like their fall from grace just based on these this these last six weeks. It’s it’s almost like you’re gonna have to study this. It’s been like so unbelievable to me. But it’s just like misstep here, misstep here along with with losing games and it’s a catastrophic fall from grace. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like I How else can you put it? If they lose Monday, it’s a catastrophic fall from grace for a franchise that seemingly had their act together. Bo, let’s go ahead and narrate these Kyler Murray highlights here. Yeah, I had to take my mask off. It’s just pummeling my nose, but uh let’s You can stay in costume. Uh but let’s let’s get to it. Yeah, Jacobe Brassette let off drills. There he is throwing MHJ. Then he uh stayed up, hit Michael Wilson. We at least saw Kyler throw to Michael Wilson a little bit earlier this week. Not the case today. There’s him hitting Semi Fioco. Back to Jacobe and Jacob’s to Z Jones. Kyler is to Xavier Weaver here. And you’ll see just Jacobe to Greg Dorch. Then you got him throwing back to MHJ. More Jacobe because it’s MHJ Jones. Michael Wilson in the rotation. Kyler zipping it here. That’s more Xavier Weaver. You just know like there’s just nobody that you could say, “Hey, these guys are on the field to start games for the Cardinals. These guys aren’t complimentary players or play a supplementary role where BrT just throwing to their, you know, top playmakers. It really feels like that was a rough ball there. Ground ball. There’s Jacobe, you know, getting back on track to Dorch down the field to uh there’s the first pass you’ll see him throw to Fioko, but you just never see Kyler get back and throw to the guys that he you’re used to seeing him throw to. Ganon talks tomorrow. Are you expecting an announcement tomorrow? I think it’s I think it’s possible. I mean, I I think that there’s been such traction on this that it, you know, either it’s just so matterof fact that it’s it’s Jacobe, but it’s probably a coin flip. Like either he he announces Jacob’s making the start and they’ll continue under the guys that maybe Kyler isn’t healthy yet or, you know, I’d be shocked to hear like Kyler Murray starting this game because that would be the ultimate smoke screen. And then like that’s dumb because you wasted this week. What? Well, I mean you you wasted like the open portion of practice. Let’s not let’s be a realistic. Well, but they didn’t they didn’t make him available in the media. That’s dumb. People he still has a we will talk to a quarterback at the very least tomorrow. Whether it’s Kyler at the podium or whether it’s uh Jacobe more realistically at his locker. Man, I just I wanted to believe that they had their act together and this just this makes them feel like such smalltimers, guys. Come on. We want it for you. I do you What is the Give me a percentage. I’m going to put Bo on the spot here. And if you can’t answer this, that I understand. What is the percentage that you believe that they are going to roll with Jacobe Brassette because they feel like he gives them the best chance to win and that Kyler Murray is healthy enough to play? I think there’s a sense of conviction with Jacobe Brassette. Uh even if regardless of what the situation is, I I think he they truly do believe he’s he’s a guy that is a a fringe starter could start elsewhere in this league. So, as far as that goes and just the the proof of performance is there, um, as far as them just saying, “Hey, this is our better option and this is this is what we have to we have to ride this hot hand, man. I I don’t I don’t know because I think there’s a lot of different people at play here. Like, you got the head coach, I think you got the GM, you’ve got ownership, you’ve got the OC, you’ve got the playmakers. you know, who’s more heavily involved in the offense when one quarterback’s in versus the other. So, in a long- winded answer, man, I I don’t know. I can’t put a percentage on that. I I I don’t I don’t think I think that they have so many kind of crutches that they can lean on that they don’t have to definitively say that. Yeah, I I am fed up. I do think that based on some things that you and I have heard that they really liked how Jacobe operated from the pocket and they really liked his ability to work off a play action, right? I’m trying not to get fired. Yeah. Who do you think Drew Pine’s lobbying for right now? probably not gonna be Kyler Murray because they’re they’re oil and water right now with what they were able to do together. It it was a fa I I’m just I’ll come out and say like that’s been a failure the two of them together. It’s not like a they’re the worst team in the NFL. It looks like two and Mike McDaniel right now about one touchdown, one interception a week, 200 yards passing, taking some sacks. Just like, okay, so here’s here’s Drew’s potential get out of jail free card. Okay. Well, I Everybody thinks I’m getting my walking papers in January. I need to be able to sell Jacobe Brassette. So, here’s what we know. JG has immense amount of respect for Drew. JG is not an offensive guy. He has leaned on Drew, especially with the absence of Clayton Adams. I mean, like, is it crazy to say like this is potentially Drew’s decision where he’s got a he’s got a big piece of this? Uh, I I think we’re trending certainly toward Kyler Murray being off this team next year. I think by default he’s missed too much time that like all the parameters that we had set before the year. They needed to win. He needed to play every game. He needed to be great. Like we’re not checking any of those boxes. So fair or not like I think Kyler Murray is going to be traded right now tomorrow in the offseason at some point. Yeah. So and so like at if if that’s the mindset that you’re operating with and oh by the way you suddenly have to win games to be able to sustain this and save your jobs. Yeah, I I think just say it out loud. I I just feel like I mean get let’s No, let’s get that graphic up again. I am not saying look at this. I am not saying that Kyler Murray is not better than Jacobe Brassette. I think Kyler Murray is Kyler Murray with like Kevin O’Connell or Shawn McVey or Matt Laflur like I think is better than Jacobe Brassette. But if I’m dealt the hands, no pun intended, dealt the deck of cards of Drew Petting as my offensive coordinator, like how how do you argue with this against the Colts who are the number one seed in the AFC and the Packers who are arguably the number one seed in the NFC and he’s the number one third down quarterback in the NFL. They have these numbers. They watch the film. I I think for this week this is more fog, smoke, soft benching, his foot. Oh no, his foot hurts. We’re going to roll with Jacobe. Jacob’s one game away playing well and and if you especially if he wins, I think this is his job. I think this is Jacob’s job until he has a bad game. Yeah, you have to wonder what you know how you prioritize things. I see it as you would prioritize winning football games first and foremost, right? Because that’s going to be able to extend your stay here in Arizona, keep people employed, right? But then you also have to understand this asset that you have in Kyler Murray and you know if if this is a soft benching and we see very little to none of Kyler Murray the rest of the way he goes by the way of Russell Wilson in the Broncos. What happened there? It plummeted Russell Wilson’s stock like so much they released him and they had to absorb a ton of dead cap and like the the release for his trade numbers and dead cap like it’s it’s pretty significant for the Arizona Cardinals as far as next off season goes. So, I I know like number one priority is is to get this thing back on the tracks and win football games, but if if you tank this asset completely, uh the ramifications of that are also going to be very very uh severe. And uh I mean as we look ahead I just we’ll just make our predictions right now. I expect Jacobe Brassette to start. B you I do as well. I mean that that’s just what the the evidence is. If if you’re talking to a jury of 12 people or we’re doing it to 300 right now, you look at the evidence as far as how they’ve prepared this week and that Kyler Murray remains limited on the injury report and there was a surprise addition as well to that that you’ll see here in a bit. Um it would point to Jacobe making a third straight start, which is another thing that we’ve talked about uh on this show is regardless of the who the quarterback is like they’re going to be poised to put up good numbers. like we’re gonna have a third more more likely than not we’re gonna have a third solid productive day from Jacobe Brassette. It could be you know in a third straight loss with Brassette you know at QB1 but you know just the Cowboys defense giving up two and a half passing games passing touchdowns per game the quarterback they face and you know ton of passing yards to them it’s just Jacobe Brassette. Yeah, here they are right now. I mean, 273 through the air on average, two and a half touchdowns on average to opposing quarterbacks. I mean, MVP type stuff for whoever uh is the opposing quarterback against Dallas week in and week out. So, that’s why it’s like instead of a soft benching, you would have thought, hey, this is a soft relaunch for Kyler Murray to be able to, you know, have perfect landing spot, right? perfect landing spot where the following week that if you do survive and advance, it gets more complicated because you’re going up against that tough Seattle defense in that uh you know in front of their hostile environment in week n and 10. Here’s the injury report. Um an unfortunate uh addition here. Uh Will Johnson suddenly limited with that groin that kept him out. Um you hope he plays. Then there’s also Z Jones with a knee. Zay Jones has been a nice addition to this passing game with Jacobe Brassette, excuse me. And then of course we expect Walter Nolan to make his NFL debut on Monday Night Football. Bjo Gelari needs at minimum I think two more weeks. And then Garrett Williams we expect to play. Um what what’s the status of Will Johnson Bo? How serious is that injury if you can even project it with this franchise? Right. I mean, this is a guy that we saw, you know, earlier in practice during the open portion. Looked fine. Um, you know, maybe it’s just something that popped up, you know, during the the closed portion. Couldn’t tell you. Uh, but it is the same injury or area that he was dealing with that kept him out. That’s that that is concerning. And it’s just like you’re you’re getting closer and closer to getting, you know, relatively full strength. Garrett Williams, I know he’s his windows open. and he’s not officially active, but he looks like he’s trending towards playing. Um, it’s it’s just like one guy is back and then another guy goes out. It’s like when are you going to be like when are you going to get to full strength again? So, Jacobs just full caps, you know, please let Subzero play. You need all hands on deck as far as this passing attack because it’s not just CD Lamb and George Pickins. Ferguson and it’s, you know, they’re they’re they’re supporting casts like Dak Prescott is going to throw it all over the yard regardless if you’re at full strength. You just can’t stand to be under manned against this passing attack. Let’s jump into our predictions for players of the game as the Arizona Cardinals travel to Dallas. Their first game, they’ll have had 15 days off since losing at home against the Green Bay Packers in which they had another fourth quarter lead. I’ll kick things off here. Arizona Cardinals on the road. I like Trey McBride, especially if Jacobe Brassett’s playing. Jacobe Brassette and Trey McBride. There’s a connection there, Bo. Three touchdowns in two games. Kyler Murray and Trey McBride, I think, together have a total of three touchdowns um in double digit games played together. So, again, I I think Trey is going to eat against this fraud Dallas defense. terrible safeties, terrible offball linebackers. Um I I expect Marvin the receivers to do well as well, but I I just I think the Cardinals, if they give Jacobe enough time, he’s he’s going to be firing all cylinders. And I’m going to I’m going to roll the dice that Subzero plays. I think they know the severity of of this defense and how susceptible they’ve been to playmakers and they need their trio of corners to be ready to go against the likes of George Pickkins and of course CD Lamb. Um, so you would assume Garrett Williams, Jaylen Thompson will take on CD Lamb. And I I like George Pickkins against Will Johnson. I think that’s a good matchup. Uh, and then the X factor for this game, like Michael Carter. And here’s another thing this team’s doing that is just befuddling and dumb, frankly, is Michael Carter was cut and then resigned to the practice squad and he’s running with the ones at practice. It’s like, what are what are we doing here? Bam Knight’s been their most effective running back uh since Trey Benson and certainly James Connor have been out. And then you think about it, De Marcado has been limited. I mean, like Bam Knight I I I don’t know the I don’t know what the benefit of this is like, hey, this guy’s cut. Just psych. Just kidding. He’s on the practice squad. Just kidding. He’s a starter. Give Bam Knight the football. He’s been easily their best runner. Yeah. Uh Matty Brloose’s head is spinning trying to keep up with all this. It’s It’s really kind of fascinating like when I look across I just use like whatever you use like whether it’s ESPN or Yahoo or Sleeper app. Just look at the different fantasy um defenses and how they do against certain position groups and it’s like Dallas gives up by far the most fantasy points to the quarterback position. Oh, by the way, the most fantasy points to the wide receiver position, too. Uh how do they do against running backs? third most points to running backs per week. Uh just just an atrocious the the only one is they give up the 12th fewest fantasy points to the tight end position. But we still know like Trey McBride is a matchup issue. Doesn’t matter who he’s facing. So I like McBride and you know the two touchdowns that he had last week. I I was looking at, you know, most touchdowns surrendered on the Dallas defense and and it is, you know, against safeties and and and linebackers uh like Kenneth Murray and and some some guys out there like uh Donovan Wilson have been targeted in in the red zone. So, I I like your picks, but I am going to lean into the the quarterback wide receiver connection here. Uh staying with like if it is Jacob Brassette, like I know Marvin Harrison Jr. has still hasn’t like we still have issues as far as targets. Need to see more targets for Marvin Harrison Jr., but man, is there is this as conducive as it gets for a wide receiver to to maybe get on track and be targeted early and often. Now, like the other guys I considered for this, Johnny, as far as my top offensive pick were their wide receivers like I think Z Jones was my next best option just how he’s been able to take advantage like 60 70 yard performances in back-to-back games with Jacobe Brassette. I like what I’ve seen from Michael Wilson, who’s been more around like the 40 yard uh receiving yards with Brassette in there, but still you’ve seen him come alive after being like dead in the water for the first couple weeks of the season. Um, but I I like MHJ in this game. And then defense and my X-Factor, I’m going with a couple guys that aren’t even on the active roster right now. I’ve got Garrett Williams who I I think that he was looking good in practice and uh is trending towards playing and being active in the next couple hours, you know, days maybe before the game. I I think him playing slot corner going up against CD is is going to be so, you know, crucial for if they’re going to get off the field. And then my X factor is another guy who’s coming off a injury list in PUP. I gotta give I think Walter Nolan does get activated and makes his debut Monday night and in limited snaps, you know, makes us kind of remember why the Cardinals took him 16th overall. Love that. Love those predictions. I’m excited. Like this week should be about like, hey, clean slate. Kyler’s back. Walter Nolan’s playing. Let’s be fired up. Ojelari’s practicing. And instead, it’s like, hey, let’s be sneaky and um let’s put out, you know, conflicting narratives and let’s let’s falsely, you know, lie about some stuff. I don’t like it. I don’t I don’t like it. Uh, 3127 against the Cowboys at home uh beating the Cardinals. It makes me sick. I It makes me sick that you know Noah painted me in that Cowboys blue too. Uh, just you picked them. I feel really ill. I feel sick to my stomach. They lose this game with Kyler, without Kyler. Stick a fork in him. They’re done. You lose six in a row. Like Kyler Kyler’s not gonna I mean, maybe he is behind the scenes. It doesn’t seem like it. If if he is um you know, he’s he’s keeping a good public um just kind of persona or you know, view of him as I see him out on the practice field. like good teammate, you know, seen him moving around the facility. Don’t see it doesn’t seem disgruntled or anything like that. You know, going to his home state nearby Dallas, you know, for him where a place that he’s dominated in his entire football career, pro and amateur, that he wouldn’t say, “I need to start this game.” Just it’s puzzling to me. Something doesn’t smell right. And I I I think if Jacobe Brassette plays Monday night, regardless of what people may or may not say and have already said, I think you watch the trade deadline closely on Tuesday. I don’t think that’s a possib I don’t I think I think you’re dead wrong, my brother. I I think if if Kyler Murray is a healthy bench scratch, unless he has some kind of reoccurring foot injury or, you know, something they’re not telling us, if Kyler Murray’s foot is okay and he does not play Monday night, I I I you’re going to sit there and tell me that like they’re not going to shop him at the trade deadline. You’ve already made a decision to not play. Seems like that that’s so unprecedented at this at that position. They’re all their actions are are unprecedented, I would argue. Yeah. No, I mean that’s that’s accurate. No one else does these things. No one else is operating this way. I mean like I I I don’t know. You have It takes two to tango. They’d have to get a partner. They’d have to get back ample draft capital. But like how how do you navigate the notion that my quarterback is healthy, the backup is playing better, we need to save our jobs. We’re going to play the backup to save our jobs, but we also don’t want to make it seem like we’re benching the starter because we need to be able to equip something or secure a trade package in return. I mean, like, I would argue this is unprecedented territory where you’ve got a third-year regime trying to save face, an owner that didn’t want to sign the contract to begin with, a quarterback that was solid but not great at the beginning of the year, not his fault. extenduating circumstances and a backup that’s a better fit for the offense you want to run a movable contract. I mean, it just anybody who’s saying, “Hey, it’s this is this is fine. Everything’s fine. Kylo will be back. Trade deadline. Don’t mind it any matter.” You haven’t been watching the NFL. This is the NFL. I mean, we’ve seen Shawn Peyton hated Russell Wilson’s guts. They didn’t even entertain trading. Well, nobody wanted him at that. I think Kyler’s a much more attractive piece than Russ. Wilson wasn’t playing his worst football. like he’s he’s gotten far worse since. Um like statistically he wasn’t that bad. I mean I know I know he’s a lot of people deem him insufferable and I get that. Um and then you also had the Kirk Cousins situ. You know Kirk Cousins still not traded. I don’t know. I think it’s a little bit more tougher like NFL trades. I know they’re becoming more of a thing, especially at the deadline. And the deadline’s like forecasted by multiple analysts and pundits. It’s going to be crazier than ever, but like a quarterback being dealt at, that’s still something that hasn’t happened. I I won’t believe it till I see it. All right, let me ask you this. Jacobe plays Monday. Okay, he plays well, win or lose, which we both expect. When do we see Kyler Murray again? based on your thought process right now. Dude, I I don’t know. I don’t know. That would be three productive starts from the offense and people are going to say, “Well, he hasn’t won yet. The stats disparity is too too damning.” Um, you probably get because Seattle could be a really tough performance for whoever potentially like the the following week in some capacity. Kyler’s worst games, you could argue of his career come against Aaron Donald and then obviously Seattle with Leonard Williams and interior defensive line pressure. Like we know that, the Cardinals know that. Jacob, I don’t I don’t think regardless if they trade Kyler Murray or not, I think we’re we’re minimum weeks away from seeing Kyler Murray again. Minimum. I don’t know how anybody can sit here and say like Kyler Murray’s back and he’s going to play and everything’s fine. They had their chance. They could have said that this week. Mhm. This is all in the caveat that that he’s healthy, which we believe. We believe he’s fully healthy or close to it. Everybody listen, everybody, it’s November. Everybody’s banged up in the NFL. Yeah, everybody’s got nicks and bumps and bruises and and and sore muscles and it’s just like I’m sure they’re leaning in now on the injury report. Like let’s just let’s call this what it is. This this is just them having their cake and eat it too with Jacobe Brassette. Greg Rosenthal who hosts a daily podcast for the NFL 250,000 um followers. Yeah, I’m assuming this means he’s benched for Jacobe which is a pretty big moment in the Jonathan Ganon era. And and also he backpedalled that a little bit when he saw he was limited in practice. I I if the Cardinals are playing Jacobe over Kyler, regardless of Kyler’s status, they were they’re going to li list him as limited. I they’re milking that for everything they can. That’s my opinion. And again, I’m not I would play Kyler. I’m not of the mindset like Kyler looks healthy, throw him out there. Let him get some mojo against Dallas. Like I I think Kyler Murray gives you the best chance to win these last 10 games. I I I don’t believe them when they say like if he’s out this week, I don’t believe them when they say, “Oh, yeah, it’s his foot. He’s his foot’s not healed yet. He’s out a month. I was talking to somebody on the phone last night and it was just like, “Hey, why is the defense so terrible in the fourth quarter?” Because they’re not coaching well enough. They have good players. Yeah. I mean, quarters one through three, they look really good. They look buttoned up. They look like a good defense. They get off the field plenty. Fourth quarter hits, is it negative – 47 as far as the point differential, it’s unbelievable. So, it’s not like they’re incapable. They just got to do it in the fourth quarter. Keeping it going. Miles Johnson, $5. The front office and coaching is conservative. Big time fourth quarter problem there. and scared to have bad news. They coached the players to play scared as well. Coward’s coaching staff. It’s a big indictment on defensive head coaches that a lot of them play not to lose and are ultraconservative and unfortunately a lot of the typical defensive head coaching tropes are plaguing Jonathan Ganon this year. issues with the offense, inconsistencies with the quarterback, playing, you know, very vanilla defenses like they they are not the killers that we were promised and um and I people are going to hold that against JG. Uh, man, I I feel like with record aside, it’s one of the most important games for the future of this franchise that I can remember. Yeah, I think it’s going to be six o’clock with the the clocks changing around the country on Saturday, Sunday. Uh, Monday Night Football locally is going to be now kicking off at 6:30.
