Dallas still stinks. even three late number one picks given the dir of talent and the amount of needs that the Browns have if I was Andrew and I don’t look I’m no capologist and I know this is a cap mess and I know that it is there’s a no trade clause involved and a but if someone called me with three number one draft picks after what happened this past Sunday where a guy has the greatest game I’ve ever seen a defensive end play sack the quarterback five times and you still lose by three scores. You’re making that trade. It’s Yeah, I mean, it’s something I’d have to consider. You might do kick ding back here. The rumors are crazy. The the speculation is so enticing, yet it is somewhat hard to believe. It is breaking news. Break it. Break it butter up. Could this actually happen? Could the Philadelphia Eagles be on verge of making maybe the greatest robbery Howie robbery that has ever taken place. I don’t even know what to say. I didn’t even know how to do this video. Uh I I guess I should start by saying this. What we’re talking about here seems like a distant distant distant distant distant dream. Does not seem like reality. However, where there is smoke, there is fire. And we are going to try to analyze what is going on and if it could really help the Eagles, if it’s worth doing, and uh if there’s any chance of it really happening. So, let’s dig right into this. Okay. Uh, as many of you guys know, the radio little clip I played at the beginning came on yesterday and they were talking about uh the Eagles offering three first round picks for Miles Garrett. That the Eagles are trying to get Miles Garrett. And I imagine that there are other teams trying to do it, too. Probably, I don’t know, maybe a team like Detroit. Maybe not Detroit after paying Aiden Hutchinson. The Eagles are after Miles Garrett. Now, this is so hard for me to believe because my my feeling has been once he signed that contract extension this last off season, it made it almost impossible. And it still might be from a a a salary cap, a dead money hit. I don’t think the Browns I don’t I doubt they would want to take the cap hit or the dead cap money hit that the Eagles would be willing to take. Uh, but nonetheless, this rumor lives on and it’s heating up. It’s actually heating up. Uh, NFL trade rumor, quote, “Howie Roseman and the Eagles are super hot after Miles Garrett.” Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? This is This is crazy. NFL insider Charles Robinson recently had the following to say an appearance on ESPN Nashville, The Game. Uh he said quote rumors going around and I’ve not heard it out of the Eagles but I’ve heard it from a couple of other super high ranking people in other teams that are clearly on the phones that Howie Roseman and the Eagles are super hot after Miles Garrett that Howy would give up like three first round picks for him. uh which you know if it’s coming from the Eagles those are three late picks which we’re going to talk about in a minute because that’s an important part of this. So it’s even argu arguable when you get through the draft process how many first round grades do you really have? Maybe you have between 14 and 18 in a typical year. And that means if you’re drafted in the late 20s, early 30s, you’re not even getting a player that is considered on your board unless you’re lucky. you’re not getting a player that maybe you get in the first round grade on. So, the Eagles would essentially be giving three first round picks for Miles Garrett. Now, from looking at the Eagles, I’m going to try to look at it from two perspectives, right? The perspective, we’ll do the Browns real quick because we don’t care about the Browns, but the Browns will be getting three first round picks. They need draft capital to rebuild that team. Okay? the that the Browns also need to realize that you’re wasting this guy’s career. He he wants to win. He’s 29 years old. Are you gonna just keep him there and let him be [ __ ] his whole life? He ain’t going to win with the Browns. The Browns need to rebuild. They have a mess at quarterback. The team’s a mess right now. So, yes, they could get three first round picks for the Eagles and they may be late first round picks. However, if you can manipulate your picks and you you do a little bit of just thinking about an ingenuity, you can take picks, trade them for picks the following year that are end up being lower picks, there’s ways to manipulate it. So, three first round picks are valuable. Any team that is horrible that offers you three first round picks for him, which wouldn’t happen, uh Miles Garrett’s probably gonna not want to go there. And I think he has a no trade clause. So, he wants to go to a competitor he would want to win. Now, they would have to work out money, of course, and and all those kind of things. Maybe he’d have to help do a restructure, but uh you know, to me, I don’t know what the Browns are thinking if they don’t do it. Also, this was Miles Garrett at the game the other last week. Five sacks in a game, still get blown out. They pull him out of the game and he’s sitting on the bench by himself. Does that look like a guy Does that look like a guy that’s happy where he is? He might have signed the money, but he ain’t going to win. And look, that arguably could be on him, but if there’s an out, the Eagles are the team to do it. Now, as for the Eagles, here’s my thought. I would never ever ever trade three first round picks for a non-quarterback player in almost any circumstance except very few. when you get a guy like a Miles Garrett, um, you know, probably Miles Garrett non-cooterback widewise would be the only player I would even consider this, okay? Especially because of where he’s going. He’s going to the Eagles. The Eagles have him. They they would have Jaylen Carter. They would have Jordan Davis or they would help the other end. You have Brandon Granback. You have the linebackers. This would transform. This would change your defense. it it would probably give you one of the best defensive lines of football. Okay, this completely changes the Eagles. Uh if if I’m the Eagles, I pull the trigger because look, they they have been so successful with the draft picks that they’ve had taken over the course of the last few years. If they miss a a draft pick or two, first round, that’s okay because it’s going to give them some space to pay these other guys. So, it’s not the worst thing in the world. Now, let me be very clear about this. I am not trading AJ Brown. This to me is so stupid that it that people want to do this. I’m not tra rating AJ Brown this season. I’m getting Miles and there were rumors about AJ Brown being, you know, the Eagles were offered a second from the Patriots for AJ Brown. That’s way too little. Not it’s not even forget about it. But here’s what I’ll say. You got to keep AJ Brown. If you want to trade anybody, trade Nolan Smith. If you want to if you want to make it like two first round picks or first round pick and a second round pick and a player or something, maybe Nolan Smith at most. That’s it. But you don’t trade AJ Brown. You don’t make your team worse in one position. You get better. You win the whole thing. Now, if you have the AJ Brown problem at the end of the year and he wants out and you got to trade him, well, then you can recoup. you can recoup one of those first round picks in the off season with AJ Brown. So, you deal with that later. But in the meantime, no, you trade for Miles Garrett. You do it. You do it. And you keep AJ Brown and you you’re just even better. Dak Prescott, I can see now he’s already [ __ ] himself. All right. He’s scared of this. The whole league should be scared of this because this would probably propel the Eagles to a Super Bowl. And not just one Super Bowl. I mean, I think for the next two, you know, you have a 2, three year window with this team that you have. Now, even if you bring in more players in the draft, the Eagles still have a ton of picks. They got multiple thirds, they got fourth round picks, they’re going to be fine. They’re going to be just fine. So, you know, if this if my god, if this happened, this would be crazy. Miles Garrett would be your best pass rusher you’ve had since Reggie White because arguably he is on that kind of ascension in terms of his career and where he’s going to be remembered. So, he would be the best pass rusher since Reggie White. You’ve got to take a chance and do it. Now, how many years does AJ Brown I mean does um how many years does Miles Garrett have left? That’s a great question. He’s going to be 30 in December. So I I think if you look at the way he’s playing, I think you I think you got a good three years left with him. Okay. So I think that would give you a three-year window where he’s at a high high level. Um and then when he drops off off a little, that’s still probably proable. So you probably got a good four, five years where you could get stuff out of him. So it would be worth it. It would be worth it. And and this team and its nucleus should be competing every year for the next five years for a Super Bowl. Sure, they’re going to have to tweak the the roster here and there, but I I don’t think it’s a bad idea. Now, what are the chances that this could actually happen? That’s the question. I I think it’s very hard. I mean, it just seems like a a fantasy. Uh, you know, but you got to talk about it because there’s so much smoke with the whole thing. Uh, I mean, I think the Browns are too stupid to trade him because it really would be the smartest idea for them and it would it would be doing him a favor. It would be like the the respect the Browns showed Miles Garrett by letting him go somewhere where he could actually win would be a good thing. But I mean, I still got to say with the salary cap implications and I know there’s like a 25 million dead money hit this year if they trade them. There’s a $40 million next year. So there probably have to be a restructure. Probably a lot to go in it. But uh if you’re going to trade him, if you’re the Browns, you trade him to the NFC. You don’t want to trade him to the AFC. So the NFC would be where you go. Uh look, I I would love this. I hope that they would do this. Um I still think it’s it’s it’s still feels like a pipe dream, but hell, we could all dream and it is Halloween and it is trickor treat. Just my thoughts. Uh, I say Howie, you can do it. Go do it. Go get them, Denzel. No, I’m sorry. With that said, it’s how we vision, baby. We’re all just living in it. [Music] The other thing I forgot to say is this. One of the reasons I think that that this is legit from the Eagles perspective is this. The Eagles tried to get Micah Parsons. They were willing to match what the Green Bay Packers gave. So, they were willing to give two first round picks for him. Miles Garrett is clearly better than Micah Parsons. So, this is the reason why I think from the Eagles side, I think this is probably true and the Eagles are definitely reaching out. Howie Roseman reaches out to everybody. The other thing we got to consider is that teams often use Howy Roseman to gaze interest to, you know, start stuff up. So, we got to watch that, too. Anyways, it’s going to be interesting the next few days watching how this all unfolds. With that said, now Denzel Washington out. Oh god, no. No. I want to be like the Eagles. That’s all, folks.
