Report: Bills calling about Olave, Jakobi Meyers

  1. I don’t see Meyers being a fit at all, personally. A great and underrated receiver, but not the type we need. I’d much rather get either of the Saints WRs at that position.

  2. Meyers is very poor at separating against man coverage. Josh doesn’t do well with those WR’s. Making a mistake with Keon’s fit is one thing, but doubling down on the same archetype on a trade would be a firable offense. We already know it doesn’t work. Get someone who creates separation like Shaheed.

  3. Given that there have been no huge trades across the League up to this point, there have to be some enormous bidding wars going on behind the scenes for Olave, Shaheed, Waddle, etc. Makes me nervous

  4. What about Ikhine-Westbrook from the dolphins? He was an excellent deep threat last year with the titans and can separate downfield. I think him and Josh would become best friends.

  5. Meters is a jag

He won’t take.big bites, he will snack with the rest of our WR room

It does not take BBB to get Meyers

    This is sad news

  6. “Overpaying” for Olave is the all-in push.

Would certainly be the most aggressive move with the biggest potential impact. Given his injury history though, I’m not going to freak out if it doesn’t happen. Whether it works out or not, I would support the move though as I really don’t want to be sitting around in 10 years wondering what if we added a weapon for Josh Allen in his prime.

  7. Fuck it. Swing for the fences. Call Minnesota about Jefferson. While you’re at it call everybody except Josh and tell them we can’t afford to pay them because we are doing the Cincinnati thing and paying the GDP of Oman to two receivers and a QB.

  8. Whoever makes defenses sweat a little and feel they need to cover him is good. That’s what Cooper did last year and it worked. Got the rest of the guys open.
