Who is nr12?
He sounds similar to Austin and they’re past friends now on the same team. We should get another one of these boys and make them go out for iced lattes
Lake Jaravia
He had two back-to-back possessions where he forced a steal and that was great to watch.
So many people wrote off his signing as insignificant.
He is a damn good 3 and D. And young! A perfect for the team.
He still has a lot to improve, but the fact that he’s improving and adapting so quickly at the very start of the season, with more minutes than he probably would have if the team wasn’t all banged up, speaks volumes to his potential.
Kudos for him, JJ and the rest of the staff for this.
I must apologize too. I was down on him as a no more than 8-10 level rotation player after watching preseason. I think there’s something more there. Especially with defense coming out some more now. Love it. Continue to prove me wrong Jake!
Keep this energy for when he has some off games.
He’s young and developing but he’s a role player for a reason.
If he could ball out every game he wouldn’t be a role player. He could develop into one, but let’s not expect it from him now.
remember when we had cam reddish and taurean prince
The best thing about him is that he is only 23 so he still has a lot of room to grow as a player.
Need more high quality role players like Jake
the exciting whites era of the lakers has been phenomenal tbh
He’s a huge reason I don’t know if this team even needs anyone else once LeBron comes back. He’s literally the player I thought we needed so yeah idk the vibes are immaculate.
Most of this sub owes him an apology. If you have one bad game they are ready to murder anyone.
I’ve been saying this since preseason
I knew he was a young offensive player coming up but had never really watched him play till this year
He had so many deflections last night that won’t show up in stats
Big body. Can do a lot of things defensively and a lot of things offensively. When his shot isn’t falling , he still finds a way to contribute. And it looks like there’s still a lot of untapped potential
I remember Jake from that game against the Grizzlies g-league injury team we barely beat a few seasons back. He went off for 25+ points and thought it was a case of our bad defense making another no name bum look like an all-star, but I kept my eye on him from then on cause of how young he is. Saw him with the Grizzlies and the Kings, and DUDE CAN PLAY!
He’s only 23, cheap, and has shown the flashes of being a 3 and D player, but I’ll happily accept average on defense. I still can’t believe the Grizzlies didn’t pick up his option when they had the chance.
I watched him when he was in Memphis, he was pretty solid. Not a lockdown defender but a pretty good one & he has a pretty jumper. That 10 for 11 game came outta nowhere tho.
He’s also 23
It’s a white boy fall right now 😎
I’m most impressed by his ball handling skills
Everytime I think he’s slow on defense he still finds a way to be effective
