What else needs to be said.

2015 was REALLY special. We finished what we started in 2014. We never dropped below .500 for the season and broke our attendance record.

I can remember ever player on this team…and a specific moment during the season they stepped up and delivered (remember Paulo Orlando's grand slam on July 7th?).

And the post season – we were THE come from behind team – 8 wins when we were losing by the 8th inning and dug deep and pulled through.

I could be here all day breaking everything down…but man, a few highlights:

  • Gordon's 11th hour game 1 home run tying the game

  • Johnny Cueto's complete game 2 master stroke

  • But DAMN…game 5…Edinson Vólquez losing his Dad via game 1 and pitching his heart out in game 5. Salvy's broken bat single and Hosmer's mad dash home. Then Christian Colón with that outfield single that sent Jarrod Dyson home and put us up.

I'm gonna go watch 2015 highlights and smile.

  1. I still remember my family moving to Kansas in the midst of the Royals 2014 and 2015 seasons. We weren’t much into baseball but we did watch both of those World Series’. I think I remember Game 5 was the one where the Mets were up 2-0 and switched pitchers in the 9th and then the Royals tied and won the series in OT.

  2. When you remember how long it’s been and realize Salvy’s the only active player from that squad.

  3. I was so excited in 2014 just to see us make the play-in game. Didn’t know if I would live long enough to ever see us in the postseason again. My goodness what they did in those 2 years was incredible. Thinking about those 2 years always lightens up my mood.

  4. I’d really like to rewatch the 2014 and 2015 post seasons. Does anyone know how to view the games?
