Shohei Ohtani expected to be Dodgers’ starting pitcher for World Series Game 7

Sorry I’m very new to baseball how realistic is it for yamamoto to pitch in this game and how long can he go🤔

Ohtani for the first couple of innings, then Glasnow, Snell, Sasaki and Yamamoto to close the game out.
Put Kershaw vs Scherzer. COWARDS!!
Shohei wasn’t bad in his last start, he was striking guys out but Dave just left him in too long because he was worried about the pen and Ohtani was tired from the 18-inning game
Dave won’t hesitate to pull him now with everyone else available
Ohtani and Glasnow don’t worry me as much as snell and Yoshi.
I’m great, I got that “excited/scared” feeling. Like 98% excited, 2% scared. Or maybe it’s more. It could be, it could be 98% scared, 2% excited but that’s what makes it so intense, it’s so – confused. I can’t really figure it out.
They really only need Ohtani to get 8-10 outs. Glasnow 10-12 outs and Snell, Roki, HenrĂquez can take care of the rest.
I like this. No real need to manage fatigue and play the long game. Have Sho and Glas absolutely empty the tank. Potential to see Snell and maybe Roki? Long off season to rest. Go out and throw gas, boys!
Dodgers fans are gonna be in tears when the Blue Jays trot out Yesavage in the 5th.Â
Setting up for an all-time Game 7. Let’s go.
GOOD.
Buckle up fuckleheads it’s gonna be a beautiful day
This, I feel, is the smartest play because now you’re not running the risk of losing the DH and making your relievers hit
If this dude pitches mediocre and the dodgers win and if he gets the mvp im gonna be like man he shouldn’t have gotten the mvp
It’s the only way to get him to pitch while not sacrificing his hitting
LET’S GO GOATAHNI

If Ohtani throws a shutout and has like 10+ Ks along with a pair of HRs in a Dodgers win, Disney will make a movie out of Ohtani’s season
So Ohtani for the first couple of innings, Glasnow for the bulk 4-5 innings, and mix and match the last two
Ohtani, Glassnow, Yamamoto
He must be exhausted
If you’re the starting pitcher and get pulled and stay at DH are you ineligible to close by the rules? Logic says no but I’m not sure what the specific wording is on eligiblity.
Last game of the year Brent, can’t hold anything back now.
You don’t pay a guy a billion dollars ten years from now for him to not start game 7.
It’s the smart move…He goes 3-4 innings most and you don’t lose the DH
As someone without a dog in the fight, I want Game 7 to go another 18 innings because I do not want this series to end. An all-time classic.
Any of you Blue Jays and Dodgers fans saying you’re not worried one way or another are nuts. You should be worried about everything, it’s Game 7! I’m worried and my team isn’t in it!
Could he come in and relief instead of starting and still bat in the DH spot the whole game? I genuinely don’t know what the rule says about that. I can see him doing a bumgarner relief in a close out type situation but they need his bat the whole game if possible. This kind of player has never really happened before I don’t know what the best way to handle his abilities is to win the game it’s kind of a tough one.
Game 7s are for closers… Shohei is a closer… See what he did to Milwaukee
Relatively speaking, this is an extremely short rest for him. He usually gets 5 to 6 days rest per start, so 3 days is way too short and I don’t know if it’s a good idea to use him. Glasnow only threw 3 pitches, he’s good for a whole start tomorrow. Wouldn’t expect a complete game from him, but 7 innings, over 100+ pitches and 2 innings left for the rest of the guys to cover.
I’m sure there are “better” pitching matchups but G7 Ohtani vs Scherzer is electric
Just a reminder that pitchers starting on 3 days rest in the postseason are 30-47 with a 4.59 ERA. And of course, these pitchers tend to be Aces.
Should have started Kershaw. Sets up a fairy tale ending.
A little surprised by this given he’s not rested that long, but I guess if you can’t risk it for the WS then when can you?
Either way, I’m getting drunk tonight. Go baseball!
Ohtani has a flair for the dramatic. Could get weird tonight if that continues.
Their game 7 pitching line up is making me nervous but it would make the win sweeter if we get it done
should go yamamoto after shohei
Game 7 of the World Series with the best player in the world hitting leadoff and pitching is what I’m here for!
