Great moment. However, nowadays fans would be complaining that HR would only be a HR at Yankee stadium. Look at John Smoltz on Fox always bringing up the short porch.
Why was it only game 4? I didn’t think the World Series went into November too much
And now watch after tonight the media will try dubbing Ohtani Mr November, just when you think MLB can’t get even worse.
I’m thinking the game started in October and they showed the couple minutes past midnight to bring us into November. Thats when aura and mystique took over. 😎
And in ~7 hours, he will lose that crown to Ohtani or Vlad.
Oh yeah fuck John S and the other asshole Rocker.
I really can’t watch these old videos anymore. It’s so depressing how bad they suck now in the postseason.
Short porch baybayyy
My Captain 🫡
I would have traded winning 2009 for winning 2001 .. really wanted that one badly given the circumstances
Top 5 nights of my life. My dad, brother and I were in the right field bleachers for this. It was my 21st birthday on Nov. 1 and Tino and Derek couldn’t have given better gifts! We all went to Stan’s after the game and the bartender cards me, saw it was my 21st bday and poured me about an 8oz “shot” of whiskey on the house. It was mayhem, the energy was off the charts.
I will never forget this night. I miss that world.
We lost that series though. Games 4 and 5 lose a lot of magic when you remember the outcome of that series. I’m sure even Jeter feels that way, he’s all about the championships
Wasn’t it the 10th inning? Not the 12th?
Still not over us losing this series
Shoutout to the Dbacks
Randy and curt where lights out
One of the best games I ever got to see live. Left field, upper deck. You could feel the entire upper deck bouncing on its fulcrum. You can see it in the video when they show the angle of the dbacks dugout. I remember my dad, who’s terrified of heights, being genuinely worried the upper deck was coming down lmao
