from this? Oh, thank you. What are you seeing from this Bills defense? I know you guys don’t harp too much on rankings and things like that. They are 31st in run defense. You guys have been having your away rushing over the last couple of games. Just talk a little bit about that Bill’s defense. Yeah, I mean I think they’re a great defense. Uh a good group. Fly around, do everything fundamentally sound. Obviously, uh we got a few guys that used to be here. my boy Shaq over there, uh Daquin Jones, obviously Sam Franklin. So, all good guys. Um it it’ll be a good challenge. They’re a great team. What will it be like to possibly square up against Shaq in the open field at one point? I mean, Shaq when he was having the possibility of like maybe leaving here, he’d always say, “If I’m gone, I’m come after you. I’m going to get number 30.” I’m He just annoying as hell. But, uh that’s my dog. It’ll be it’ll be fun to go up against him finally. Uh we used to always talk about all the time, so it it’ll definitely be cool. Have you heard from him this week? No, we haven’t talked, but I was I was meaning to call him. I’m going call him today, though. So, poke some fun at him. Just throw some jabs. I know he’ll have a few jabs for me. Like I said, he’s a he’s a ball player. One of the one of the best I’ve been around. So, to be able to go up against a guy like that, uh it’ll be fun. There’s been a lot of talk about you and Rico trading series and splitting series. What are some of the advantages of that? I think just keeping our our legs fresh. I think that’s the biggest thing. I think that’s what uh Coach Canal has kind of harped on is look, anytime you guys go out there, I want you to be fresh and be able to go uh 110%. So, um yeah, it’s definitely a good thing. Does it stagnate your rhythm though? Are you able to get in a rhythm when you kind of know you that one series and then you’re out? I mean, coach does a good job of calling uh a lot of runs and stuff like that, so you’re able to get in a rhythm and not kind of like feel like you’re out of it. So, no, I won’t necessarily say I mean, on the same usually, do you do anything to kind of keep your legs? No, I mean, I just kind of take it the same as every game. Um, I’m on the sideline looking at previous plays, seeing if there’s any adjustments to anything, just staying locked in. Shred, do you guys view this as kind of a litmus test type of game for y’all as you get keep going up to the path of where you want to get to? You said a witness test. Sorry, a litmus test. Just, you know, they’ve sort of been one of the standard bears in the AFC. Kind of give you a good idea of where you guys stand. Yeah, I mean, they’re obviously a great team, a great opponent. I mean, every single week, um, this is the NFL. So, you’re going up against great teams regardless of what someone’s record may or may not be. So, our whole thing is just staying true to the process, becoming the best team we can be, and that’s really all we’re focused on. Go ahead. This is a match up right now. Just from your point of view, what do you kind of take? Yeah, I mean, he’s a great back. Um, I’ve seen him since he’s come out. uh very fluid runner, runs hard, uh can do everything. Uh special back, so uh to be on the same field as him, it’ll be it’ll be fun. What would you expect from Andy if he ends up getting to start some? Uh regardless of who starts, you know, I know we’ll be all right and uh in in great hands, so you know, Bryce is obviously a phenomenal quarterback. Same with Andy. So um our coaches do a good job preparing those guys. So regardless, I know whatever happens will be good. What did you take from uh those starts Andy made with you guys last year? You said last year. Yeah. What what what do you remember from those? How how did he handle himself? Obviously the Vegas game was a was a big game. Yeah. I mean Andy’s a vets vet. He’s a he’s a great guy, great quarterback. Um last year was last year though. Um not really harping too much on that. This is a new year regardless. So whoever’s in, I know will do a great job. And Rice, like I said, they’re both two great quarterbacks. saying today that that y’all kind of flirted with the package a little you and Trevor and what are the advantages of that how much stress there um I mean I’ve said it since uh maybe like a few weeks ago once this thing started kind of getting split up a little bit that you know obviously it’d be great it would be great that um both of us can be on the field um I believe that you know we’re both great backs uh even Trevor as well obviously and the more you can attack defenses from different angles, having us both on the field, the better. So, anytime that can happen, I mean, we’re advocating for it all the time. So, uh we’ll be looking forward to just keep continue to build off that package. [Music]
