And look at the wall that Parker Ford builds. as he drives wide and he will not be denied as he turns the corner. A little wraparound attacking the net from below the goal line once again. A little puck luck and it ends up right onto the stick of Brad Lambert who scores his first NHL goal. One that you remember it goes in a case on your wall. One-year contract here with Pittsburgh to try once again. But a lethal shot. He’s got the puck now. Loft with the drive block. Good to play defensively as Tom got a piece of that one. Logan Stanley playing in the top court pairing now for a huge game turnover and I follow all alone in front. Came not close to making it three nothing. Now Taves twisting and turning to Brian Rust gets it to the front of the net. Coller is checked. Comry is down and he’s able to stop the play. Two early goals. Penguins with possession. Rust will turn it to Crosby back to the line. Witherspoon. Carlson looking to the front of the net without a skate. There’s a shot stopped by Comry. Pollander bangs at it and that will leak out of the zone. Lambert put it up the boards. Stepping up is Morrisy with a scramble for it. Covenan drops it. Shot by Pickering. Blocker save. Comry. Stanley moves to the boards. I missed he had a great chance a moment ago. Got a stick on that one through the front of the net. Comry spread out keeping it out and the puck is still alive. There’s been talk might this be the last NHL season for him to get him out and he’s 39 but great numbers swing away by Valardi. Here’s an opportunity. Shley couldn’t get a clean lead. Came back a little bit but obviously we’re not able to score as the second period begins and we’re glad you’re tuning into this matinea affair as they call it. Just under 65%. Here’s Lazot throws it to the front. It’s knocked away from Der. Now sprinting is Taves going to the net of Estikov. Jonathan Tesikov scores. What a setup. Now it’s Jonathan Taves in transition up on his backhand. Look at the way he cuts up, puts it on his forehand, and he provides a perfect pass for Vlatty Domestic who scores now in his third straight game. Six goals. A little too far for Hollander. Parker Ford will enter the zone and leave it for Brad Lambert. Keep to the goal. Shot stopped by Sheilops. That’s a welldesigned play. The tank wouldn’t like it. Pittsburgh number 58. Two minutes. Quick little headman earlier. That was from P. Look at the way that Ford dishes it. Drews deep into the zone. So he So is Kathy Lebert has it back to Flurry. Shoots tipped off the goal post. There’s a perfect pass cross ice and that allows him and his line to play in the ozone. Look at how hard he is to knock off the puck. He just yo-yos that puck right back to his backand as long as they take care of defense first. Here he goes again. Sheilops came out with Connor and he banged it right back to him. Connor. Oh, he missed it. That is hard to believe, but he is deadly. And here he comes. Connor against Sheila. Connor to the slot. A bag of moves. Back hand scores. No shortage of moves. Look at this. The way he’s just dizzying Sheila as he comes in fairly slow forehand. What are you going to do? No idea. After ending the game, the sixth goal of the game on his backhand a couple of nights ago, he does the same. Neop on weaving and shoots it off the end boards. You don’t need a rider. Good pass. That quick shot by Taz as he got on the scene in a hurry. Thomas Cino but Stanley broke it up in the pass ahead. Twoon one developing. Mark Shankley’s got done it. Valardi’s with him. Shankley. Valardi. What a stop by Sheiloff and may have grease off the iron as well. Already connected on last game and you have to sense that Shipley was going to pass this when he does right on the mark. And how about that? That is an outstanding save from Arur Sheilon. Quick one game in Manitoba for the Moose back in the 2022 season. And that is a save that he’ll remember keeping his team somewhat alive. Hockey card moment right there. Indicates that it hit the post to the crossbar but clearly did not. Fantastic stuff. Crosby driving against Pon. Crosby gets through and hits it on goal and he’s going to draw a penalty and he gets inside ice position. So, you’re going to force the defender, Punk in this case, to reach and that’s exactly what happens here. Crosby knows exactly what he’s doing. Inside ice drives to the net and on the backhand. I mean, nobody can shoot it better with one hand on the backhand. That’s great strength from Crosby who earns his 10 different Jets with a point today. They lead it four nothing here nearing the end of the second period. Falcon steps up Carlson one-time. They score. It’s off Crosby. He’s got a power play goal and it’s four to one. Well, I won’t say patented, but we’ve seen these goals from Crosby many times. On one knee, sometimes it’ll go in off of a skate. I think this one goes off his backside. Here’s another look at it. Yeah, he’s just in the right place hoping for the puck to hit him. Maybe it lays down in front of him and he can swat at it. In this case, look at this. It just comes in right off the backside of Crosby and loves to finish his checks. Tonight, I’ve really appreciated a lot of the details in his game. Kind of cool, too. He’s playing as is Noah Lachari. They’re both from Rhode Island, the smallest state by size, and both are former Providence College Friars. So, which is neither a road nor an island. Exactly. As Valardi tries to get to it and now Morsey will shuttle it ahead. Maybe something to cook it here. A breakaway. It’s Kyle Connor right in. Rebound Shley denied. Another good stop by Arur Sheils. And then now third. This top line has had great A chances in the start of all three periods. Of course, Bardi scoring 15 seconds into the first. And here’s Connor forehand backhand and he tries to Peter Forsber to outweight Sheilops. Look at the legs from Sheiloffs. of full span splits as he keeps that one out. Shay against Ayafalo. Loose puck shot stopped by Sheiloff’s rebound. It was the Messova took the original shot. Then I follow and poking away on the left side. Conor Der will bang that one in behind the goal. He knocked off balance there by Delo. Penguins trying to make it a little more interesting. Turning tightly is Laz right to the goal and it’s in. Mike Laz with a daring rush and Cherry was in front. Der was there too and it’s four to two. [Music] Blake Lazot just wouldn’t go away on this shift. Look at the way he dives to the zone and right into the crease. That’s courageous hockey. And the puck is left alone as Comry gets kind of pulled out of his crease. And that is a grindy goal if you’ve ever seen one. So the refs are going to convert and see. Wonder if there’s going to be a challenge on goalender interference. Conry almost flat ended that one in himself. I don’t know if Charlie got a stick of that one or not. A little cut back right there. That’s a great dive to the middle of the ice from Blake Lazot, former LA King. Up ahead is Key. Ford is trying to catch up. Lambert safely dumps it in. He’ll be first on it. Brad Lambert centering pass. A great one. Keepy denied the tank up there first. Stanley behind the net and Crosby went down as soon as he hit the big Jets defenseman. Right back up as Malcolin Mark Shaky. Will he take a crack at it? He got it to Valardi to Connor over center rib and he scores. Good work here to battle as the Pittsburgh Penguins have the extra man on the ice. Nice job getting that puck out to the middle of the ice from of Eric Conry. It was a game that the Jets grabbed a hold of immediately. The soccer puts it on goal. They scored 15 seconds in from Valardi. And at 243 was Brad Lebert’s first ever goal. 5 seconds. Can Pearson get a shot away? Tanner Pearson fans on it. So does Neita Runner, but the Jets don’t care. They wouldn’t.
