Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins | Game Highlights | 11.01.2025

[Music] Great sight to see Seth Jarvis in uniform and on the bench after blocking a shot late in the win over the Islanders. He’s ready to go. And here we go. Boston’s blue line is back to being its blue line. And here’s Posternok, but Chatfield catches the imposter. Gets the shot off anyway. And Anderson has to make the save and just keeps it up. And that’s the guy obviously you want to finish. imposter knock. Kane’s making a change, but Posternok with a shot right on Anderson with a blocker save and sends that to the board. He was the first to do it in an NHL game. Now here’s a chance coming through. Oh, knocks it down in on Swayman and Swayman gets the pad across. Elmet comes off having to make his way to the bench as LGO long drive that’ll be deflected out in front. Settled Anderson with a pad save loose. Castling with another chance. They whack at it. It’s hit the top of the crease and the Canes Taylor Hall just tries to backhand this one to safety and does. It is a power ball power play for Carolina will get to the draw but then Walker can’t get to it. And now here comes Castle on a break. Castle into the backand Anderson makes the save and Speednikov with a wonderful back check. Stay open business down there in the corner. Oh, the reaching centering it to Blake in front and Swayman with his best save of the game. It took a while. Former Hurricane Dennis Sidenberg, a German big part of their Stanley Cup win here. A chance out in front and it was Nidau with the opportunity set up by Jenowski. Riley back. His shot off the end boards. that type of incentive because if it happens to be you want to go into those festivities and costumes with a win under your belt trying to get good haul get a second chance but lifted back up here’s poster knockly forces him off course shot right down rebound after Anderson makes the save and the Canes will clear that’s knocked down by Jayowski side of the net chance here a out in front second whacket Anderson two outstanding low saves here broadmore who said he’d love to see a goal to open this period but said sometimes when you push too hard for that you see what happened at the end of the second period where they allow rush chances so limit those chances stick to the game plan and win this period to Eers gets a shot through and a phone booth and save made by Swayman back out in front looking for Jarvis Eers tied up there by Arnson but they’ll untangle and away comes Boston Makavoy in on the play across they Four. Casey Middlestat takes the patient pass from Makavoy and it’s one- nothing Boston. A healthy Charlie Makavoy means everything to the Bruins. Nikes gets deep. You have another player go down at the tops of the circles. Boston has a threeon two and Walker just about gets back to deny this feed from Makavoy to Middlestat but can’t get enough of it. You can see what Walker was trying to make sure that puck didn’t go off his stick and into the net. Charlie Makavoy. He’s sealed there by Zaka. Now Hall with it. Hall trying to get a shot through and the Bruins are just clogging the middle and now they’ve sprung Ardinson. Armanson his shot. He scores to the far post and it’s a two nothing Bruins lead on Victor Armanson’s third of the season. fly a guy from the zone because if you come up with a shot block, which Boston did and has steadily in this third period, you’re going to create a breakaway or partial breakaway the other way. So you get a big block as the block is occurring. Arbitson is flying. This allows Nidau to it for Jackfield. Little bit more room right now. Jankowsky own after it. Anderson heads to the bench with 255 remaining here in the third. Extra attacker out for Carolina. Nikesian tees it up and he scores. A rushing rocket from Alexander Nikian. And it’s a 2-1 game in Boston. And now he’s given his team life with the early pull. Janowski and Martinuk win in the trenches. Eventually, Janowski comes up with the puck, gets it to Nikesian, and he just leans, fires. Love to get the miles per hour on this shot, but beyond that, pinpoint location. Still loose. 5 seconds left. Eers’s knocked down. Puck flipped out. Nikes tries to settle it. Bruins get to it and the horn goes and Boston will hang on and win two to one.
