The #seahawks defense absolutely MANHANDLED the #texans😳 #nfl #seattleseahawks

This defense is I mean this defense is damn good, right? The fact that that Seahawks defensive line absolutely manhandled the Texans was fantastic because they were able to do that one week after doing the same thing to the Jaguars offensive line. And I told you all leading up to this game that the Texans offensive line, the right side especially, was not terrible. Ed Ingram was the number one ranked guard in the NFL by PFF coming into that game. Titus Howard was playing pretty well at right tackle. I thought they were going to have to attack the left side. Didn’t matter. They could attack both sides. Boy Maf, he has got to be having the best season of an edge player without any sacks that I’ve ever seen. Had five pressures yesterday. Five pressures and almost had a sack. Man, that’s two straight weeks with five pressures for Boy Maf.

  1. Please don’t take too much stock into what PFF says. Better yet, use a better metric. Ed Ingram should not be the best rated guard.

  2. The 3rd and 1 then 4th and 1 stop combined with our goal line stand from the 1 was so fun to watch. We have an elite defense, possibly the best in the NFL. I don’t follow the NFL like I used to because of the bogus officiating, but Seahawks and Browns are 1 and 2 IMO

  3. What a turnaround!! I remember Pete's last couple of years and how the biggest issue was they could not stop the run to safe their lives – and with many of the same names they have today.

  4. We have some elite things and some glaring weaknesses. Front seven is elite. When healthy our secondary is elite, but our starting defense has only had four plays all year together. Our run blocking is bad, our run game is average at best. And we commit way to many penalties. It's the same thing every week and it NEVER gets cleaned up. We will not go anywhere until it's fixed. Also, week 9 Robbie ouzts will be back and our run game is way better with him

  5. If only the refs weren't actively trying to help the Texans, the score would have been higher. McDonald looked pissed when the refs wouldn't give us those safeties.

  6. You haven't played any offensive powerhouse. Your record at home this season is embarrassing compared to the last 20 years lol Mike McDonald needs to grab his nutsack and get it out of your mouth

  7. It feels like we’ve seen Seahawk defenses in the past, have games like this. We get all excited and then the next 5 games they give up 100+ rushing, 300+ passing…. This MacDonald defense just seems to be truly elite though, as a team. Lawerence seems to seriously bring some big time confidence and leadership in practice & the game. Mafe, NWOSO, Williams & Murphy all are playing like we thought they could. The backfield’s full of G’s also. It’s not gimmicky it’s hard nose “don’t touch my plate” type of unit. With an offense that can take some pressure off too… it’s like downhill on some greased up bearings.
