Silovs throws his stick at Kyle Connor

  1. I mean, it’s either that or give up a goal. Ill take my chances with the penalty shot.

  2. If the play prevents a guy from putting it into the empty net like that I feel like there should be a case for it being a goal in the same way that an extra attacker scenario counts as an auto goal. That took a 99% goal and reduced it to ~33% (the last time I remember seeing a stat on penalty shot success rate)

  3. How is this not an automatic goal? I thought there was something that basically said if there’s a sure goal and a penalty occurs to stop it, the team gets awarded the goal

  4. Did he really need to collapse like that though?
Feels like soccer level exaggeration going on there.

  5. Guy totally whiffed a wide open net and got rewarded 😂 I get it’s the rules, but there should be a rule for shaming someone missing a wide open net like that.

  6. Goalie made the right play. Always take your chances with a penalty shot over a free goal.

  7. I miss Patrick Roy because there was a more than 0% chance he would have thrown his stick at Connor here in the shootout and that would’ve been hilarious.

  8. My good old Arty party lol loved him in Abby but he wasn’t the best puck handler here also but A for
    Effort

  9. That was very close to being an awarded goal to begin with and was a judgement call by the officials that it wasn’t. A valid argument that it impeded an empty net and clear goal. But didn’t quite make the the cut and I think they got it right

  10. Should be automatic goal and penalty, that’s some epic level stupid can hurt someone bad shit right there.

  11. Pietrangelo throw his stick at Landy once on an empty netter and it was awarded as an automatic goal. Shouldn’t this be automatic instead of a penalty shot?

  12. Arty’s chaotic sometimes, this was a silly goose move and I love it. Like why the fuck not eh?
