Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the @Dodgers is the first pitcher ever to win 3 games on the road in a single World Series.
He’s also the first to win Games 6 & 7 of a World Series on the road.
The goattttttttt
Well Deserved.
I don’t like the Dodgers at all but this guy earned a fan in me. Nothing but respect. This is the closest I’ve seen to 2014 Madison Bumgarner
Glad to see it
Well deserves there is no other worthy MVP than him. New Lebronto for Canada 😭
I’ve never seen a single player dominate the other team since Lebron dominated Toronto multiple times in the NBA.
Hes fucking the Goat already…..
Goat shit
easiest MVP ever given
The worst part about hate watching the Dodgers is having them put up the most respectable performances ever. Gotta tip your cap.
Bro Japan RUNS the MLB

Literally carried the entire team. King shit
That man’s never allowed back in Canada again
Yamamoto is the goat!!
Godlike. I can’t understand how Yamamoto was able to keep dominating without any rest.

Truly a masterclass of performance by Yamamoto. Great pitcher for years to come
He would have earned even if the Dodgers lost. Insane year.
Well deserved. The fact that he was able to pitch so well just a day after he started is nothing short of amazing
3 wins in a 7-game series is pretty impressive………
I think all Blue Jays fans and players will shudder when they hear his name ever again 😅
Only 2 word, cyborg… insanity!
Is he the first pitcher to get 3 wins in a WS since Randy Johnson? A quick search didn’t turn up anyone else but I’m not versed enough in researching stats to be certain. Either way, really impressive performance.
Totally deserved
Imagine living up to your record 12yr/$325 million contract IN YEAR 2! Just amazing 🔥
He pitched 3 innings giving no runs, after a 98 pitches start the night before… truly unbelievable.
Legendary performance.
Wonder what that idiot Reddick thinks of that Yamamoto contract now? Moron.
Why’s the graphic have a SF Giants color palette instead of Dodger blue?

US customs will never allow him to reenter from Canada unless he declares those giant balls of steel
How can you give a world series MVP to a guy who never pitched in the majors?
Lol at that guy.
I watched the game and it was my first time watching one live and it delivered. But some things I fail to understand. Particularly why was Yamamoto playing as a starter in game 6 and in the final innings of game 7 is such an incredible feat. Can anybody give context to a non baseball fan?
I still giggle when I see the random youtube video of someone saying the Dodgers were crazy to pay $325M to a pitcher who’s never pitched in the majors before. That has to be one of the all time “did not age well” takes.
How do you give a guy $325 million without ever throwing a pitch in MLB
___ Josh Reddick 2023/12/23
if Yamamoto is pitching the Dodgers will only need 1

This will induced ptsd in mario karts!
This guys already a hall of famer
Then dude paid off his contract in 2 years
Guy must think this is easy. 2 MLB seasons, 2 World Series rings
I think Yamamoto was in the worst condition today.
The four-seam was great, but it wasn’t his usual great breaking ball.
Still, he threw with determination.
He’s a great MVP. I hope he becomes the first Japanese player to win the Cy Young Award next year.
$325M great deal for guaranteeing 2 wins per series
One of the greatest sporting performances across any sport I’ve ever seen. 3 of 4 wins to him/back to back wins in a WS. So clutch. Salute Yamoto, Dodgers. I’m ecstatic (and hats off to The Blue Jays too; hurt seeing Vladdy cry like that)
2021 Olympic Gold medal
2022 Japan Series Champion
2023 World Baseball Classic Champion
2024 MLB champion
2025 MLB champion
This guy’s been winning titles for 5 straight years.
