But immediately, Coach Finch gets him going downhill with a Rudy Goar pick and roll. with that feisty defense of uh Dante Deenzo on him and they’re on top and three to fire with the fake and the three and the rebound by Edwards. Quick outlet to McDaniels goes the other way. Luca in the way into the rack for two. Jaden McDaniels we all do. Lakers the other night shot 54% from the floor. It was a good night for Reeves who put in 20 that you understand it takes to win a championship in this league. Julius Randle with a three. You know, Candace, I like it for Luca. I know it’s not ideal for LeBron or I know it’s not ideal for the Lakers that LeBron is not playing, but this gives Luca an opportunity to really put his identity on this team and and allow all of us to see the way that he’s going to play and how he’s going to feel without LeBron’s on without LeBron being on the court with him. So, I kind of like it early in the season for Luca. LeBron missing a season opener for the first time in his career. And this is his NBA record 23rd season in the league. He’s 40. He’ll be 41 in December, but last year second NBA all time player with with this Laker team in his seventh year. Gosh will put up a three. Hit a run right there. A triple and got a quick seven. And you see goar in that drop coverage. I don’t know how much longer they’re going to be able to stay in that cuz Luca that is exactly what he wants to play against. Edwards the miss. So, him and Luca put an emphasis on making sure they touched the paint. So, now we’ve seen all the new players. Dante uh Devenenzo is out. They’re going to bring in Connley. And that’s what he could do if he wanted more three-point shooting on this team. And they get it with him. And there were glimpses of great minutes Livia played the other night against Golden State. I love that in the interview with Dirk that Dirk brought up men’s health. I love that he brought up men’s health, but Luca has done an amazing job of listening to the noise and going to the lab and making sure that he changes all the conversation. We want to see that eight to 10 free throws a night just by putting your your putting your head down and making making the defenders make the mistake and then you get a chance to reap the benefits. So Edwards has shown us the entire bag early in this season.
