Game day in Jax always has a crazy vibe. I found a spot called Strings Sports Brewery a short ride from TIAA Bank Field that’s apparently a solid hangout, craft beer flights, plenty of screens, and a big fan crowd on Jaguars days. Has anyone been there before a home game? How’s the line, the crowd, and the overall experience? Worth dropping in before kickoff or better to hit somewhere else?
What’s the best time to get there if the game kicks at 1 pm noon? 11?

  1. No line. I usually roll in around 11ish on game day. Plenty of time for good food and beer then head down to the stadium. I guess your parking plan will determine when you need to leave.

  2. Strings has got alright beer, stuff for kids to play. Ruby beach is downtown with some okay beer too. Intuition might be fun for a quick game day beer but i gotta imagine it’s packed. I think bold city still has their downtown location, but its a small spot

  3. Pour is pretty good. Great selection of beer, and I believe they have liquor as well.

  4. Lots of seating, good (overpriced) food. Good beer selection. Indoor and outdoor space. Pretty much all the seats are uncomfortable. Overall I give it a 7/10 for watching a jags game. One of the better spots in jax overall though.
